Thanks for showing the part where you turn the tablet side-wise. All the other reviews just put the tablet in portrait mode and no one answers the question. Thanks once again.
I had previously bought another cheap keyboard for iPads, but it turned out to be very small and uncomfortable to write in this. This keyboard even though is bigger than I expected is waaaaaay better and having the slot to put the iPad on it is so great. The feature to switch devices ended up being very convenient and it is very comfortable to write in.
Just bought this keyboard thanks largely to your review. I crosschecked it with a bunch of others too, all of which are positive. I'd give it 4.5/5 - 5 if there was backlighting. I have to say I don't find the keys too noisy - at least not when compared with most desktop keyboards - and overall I think it's quite cute. What a genius invention - thanks for reviewing it!
There are 2 things I would change about this keyboard: The first is to have usb charging to avoid the need to deal with batteries. Second, i'd want a touchpad to the right, even if it's a small one. One extra bonus would be if the insert could be swapped out for a differet, thinner walled version for tablets that have rubber or hard cases. My tablet is in a Poetic rubber casing to help protect it from damage from a short drop.
Thanks for the review, I don't really mind the portability and weight issue since I don't use this outside. the buttons also feel comfortable and the dock is pretty useful.
Oldish review, I know, but I was googling for reviews on K480 regarding its use when on a lap with tablet in its craddle, tho you didnt post video of yourself doing it, you did mention that there arent any problems using it while sitting or in bed. I do have K380 that I bought for my tablet and I like it, except that without any bulky 3rd party options in the form of some sort of tablet case/stand combo there is no way for me to comfortably type with it and tablet on my lap and see my tablets screen at the same time with K380. Thus Im exploring alternatives, the best being either K480 or iPad Magic Keyboard, surprisingly two rather different types of keyboard and MK being more than 7x more expensive than K480. At the same time, I like my K380 enough and even tho it hasnt seen excessive use, its still on its original set of batteries after 3 years of ownership!
i had ordered this from amazon and i got it two days early which is today its a nice device im in love with it and i make essays on word and lot of things i even ordered a pencil for my ipad so i too recomand youll to get this logitech k480 kepad its superb
Unfortunately, the White version is hard to find. Amazon now has the white for $159.00 which is ridiculous . Ebay you can find it in China or some USA for a very high price. Nick, I agree with you on the use, it is great for working on a cellphone and a tablet, or 3 cellphones. I purchased this for a friend that is a hunt/pecker on her iPhone keypad. For my needs I purchased the Logitech K780 which does have a number pad so it is really a full size keyboard. You did not show yours with the informational stripe that comes with it. That would have been a great visual for your video.
Great review. Planning to buy this for my Tab S4. But do I need to pull my Tab out of my Rich Boss case and place it in this yellow slot for it to pair or will it work even if the Tab is placed a little away from the Keyboard? Please answer.
is it possible or does it work if i connect wireless mouse using otg cable and Logitech k480 Bluetooth keyboard to tablet at a time and my tablet supports otg as i tested with other wired keyboard
Thanks for the review, very to the point which was great (I watch a review from someone else and they wouldn't stop telling the viewer all the devices they had paired with it). Unfortunatly it did confirm my fear, that despite the fact that I get a full keyboard, which is what I want, it's too bulky to really be considered portable. Any recommendations on a keyboard that is portable (maybe folding?) but sports a full size (or nearly full sized) keyboard?
I'm in a conundrum because I want a comfortable typing experience, because I am taking notes during lectures, so I need to be touch typing, but i've used a Macbook laptop my whole life, so I'm only 'programmed' for that layout, Im worried if I compromise on the size of the keyboard I will lose my accuracy and speed. Ideally i'd love to get my hands on the IClever Full Folding Keyboard but they don't ship to my country.
Is there a connectivity range to the Bluetooth it has? Or are devices really ONLY connected when they are sitting on the rubber ridge? I want a wireless keyboard that can connect to the Amazon Firestick 15 feet from my television monitor where I am sitting at in my living room. Can this device achieve that, or is there something else?
Good review, didn't show if android screen still shows it's keyboard while using the logitech keyboard or not - the reason I watched the review. You didn't mention actual weight of this stable device stand/keyboard.
I can get a solid connection from one end of my house to the other... around 50 feet. This should work no problem as long as Kodi will work with a keyboard, I don't use Kodi so I can't confirm, but I don't see why not.
Hi Nick, do you know the measurement between the keys and the device dock? I'm trying to place a brand sticker in that space but don't have the keyboard physically.
to OP or someone has this, how is the noise? I am working graveyard shift at my home and i irks me if there's like a loud noise plus i dont want to disturb people on the other room while sleeping. rooms are divided by wood only
Yes, the F1 key functions as the home key, so a double tap will bring up your open apps. Or, you can use Alt / CMD Tab to switch between open apps. It works just like a typical keyboard with windows or mac.
how is the angle of the devices holding it up ? it is perfectly at eye view on a desk? cause its only one angle and i dont want to mess it up by just buying this just because of that . do you think it can fit an 8 inch with a case in it ?
I think the angle is just right in my opinion. I use an iPad Air 2 with the smart cover flipped behind and it fits with plenty of space to accommodate a thicker devices. The opening measures exactly half an inch, so your device should fit. I measured the angle and my ipad Air 2 with the smart cover sits at a 47 degree angle, but that will be different for you depending on the thickness of your devices. The thinner it is, then the further back it will lean, for example, with the smart cover removed, it sits at a 45 degree angle. Hope that is helpful to you!
Nick Capaccio thank you so much for the reply. i think im sold. its $30 at my local online store. i was thinking k780 ( it looks more premium ) or this but this seems more "portable " considering i might take it to coffeeshop for some lightwork .
You're welcome, I haven't actually tried the K780 but I've had my eye on it, I like the look and the fact is has a number pad. I don't think you can go wrong with this one though... try both and see which you like the feel of more. Let me know what you think of it when you get it!
i just got it and its pretty good. fits well with my tab a with case. some shortcut keys i wish it was there like notification bar , brightness ,full screen button for youtube . gonna do some light work when i bring it to coffee shops instead of my 15" laptop
No there is no way to do that. You could open up a google docs blank document in a tab on each device and copy the text into the document, that should work.
Hi I realise this review is four years old so I do hope you can reply. I plan to buy this for my iPad Air 2 but will be switching to an entry level iPad 2018 in about 6 months or so. Will this work with the latter as well. Great review thanks.
Yes this is great and I’m using an iPad Air 4. I don’t experience any lag or whatsoever. Thing is just so bulky that you would really think twice putting it on your bag :)
The keyboard is 299mm but doesn’t say anything about the width of the grove. The 10.5 iPad Pro width is about 250.6 mm and 255mm with case. It is highly likely that the 10.5 iPad Pro will fit. Your best bet is to try it out in a shop.
Using a button on the back of things, without actually looking at it, is not a problem at all for the majority of people ;) It's not as portable as Logi's keyes-To-Go, but on other hand that keyboard force you to choose between Win/Android or Apple ... sadly enough.
I found this on ubuntoforums.org I presses and held the button for Windows/Android/Chrome OS until it started flashing then used the bluetooth GUI to search. It did take a little longer than normal for the next button to be able to be pressed to continue to pairing which involved typing a PIN on the K480 and pressing Enter Here's the link to the post: ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2307640
I just bought it, its 2020, WHY IS LOGITECH MAKING A KEYBOARD THATS NOT BACK LITE??? I cant believe this is not back lite, its made to partially be used in bed or on the couch. Logitech has been making mice and keyboards before Gforce made AGP sloted Vcards, that would give this 5 stars

Thanks! Hope you enjoy it!

did your tablet not fit at all with the case on?
Just bought it and i am writing my comment on it.I love it.I bought myself tablet for 130 Euro and that keyboard for 50. So cool!
super cool review! As long as it will work as a keyboard for my tv, I'm going to buy it. Thanks again for explaining all the details!
Excellent review. I can’t believe how forthright it was. Thank you 🙏
Good review, thanks.
Other reviewers have complained of keyboard noise, but I suspect that's only an issue when typing in a quiet, public place.
I’ve just purchased mine and I love the finger feedback. I liked your opinion!
Awesome ! I love the black variant. You explain well and you look like “Howard Walovitz” from the TV series “Big bang theory”

Was wondering whether can it fit my iPad Pro 10.5?
Andrew & Hazelle Travels it will
From their website : Most phones and tablets up to 10.5mm (0.4 inches) thick and 258mm (10 inches) wide.
So it means it can’t work in 11 inch iPad
ifrancsco it can work
