I honestly..don't know why lea's singing this song..it doesn't really suit her style, I don't think she likes singing pop songs that much. I mean, I guess she's trying something new, so kudos for that and she looks like she's still feeling the song even if it's a bit foreign stylistically for her. Edit- yeah, I heard her sing other pop songs and they were great. I take my words back. She's really versatile. Just not Shawn Mendes then.
She did a wonderful job on this piece. Don't expect her to imitate the original because she always makes her own interpretation of the song. She sang Stitches meaningfully here, that is so stylistically her. She sang other pop songs before (Poker Face, Blurred Lines, Empire State of Mind among others) and they were done in her own style just like this. As a fan, I would listen to whatever she sings and decides to sing really. It's a treat to me either way.
