So, the Vanguard pilot who's in training has a special interaction if you have Vanguard Moara in your crew. He tells you to ask the pilot for a 'Long Weight' for your ship, then when the pilot jumps away he laughs about how it's a ritual hazing and the pilot is in for a 'long wait' at UC Surplus 🤣
I stumbled upon the Valentine 3 times, 3 different songs, but the first one is still my favorite.

@@taylororourke2525 If orange juice is all they have on hand, and a little kid wants to sell lemonade, they will totally call the orange juice lemonade. That's just how kids operate.
And have it give more health than other drink/food items. Like it's just THAT good lemonade.

this was entertaining. People wonder why Bethesda has a following. It's because they build a world that cannot be explored by an individual. It's a community event to see all there is to see. You and Nate are my top 2 for lore and secrets.

That Starparcel Freighter asked me to deliver a package to Neon
When i arrived, the Ship Services Technician had fallen off of Neon and into the ocean :/
The same thing happened to me. He never appeared in his office for me, so I heard the game dropped him in the middle of the ocean somewhere. I used the Star Parcel quest to find the technician for New Atlantis after I had the spaceport bug for there too.
Same thing happened to me. Both before and after the patch that was supposed to fix that.
I reloaded to the save I made knowing full well that I’d likely run into that bug.

After seeing him numerous times I finally killed Valentine, only to encounter him again some hours later in a different system. Very suspicious.

I've got the Star Parcel Express mission multiple times, and so far, IIRC, I've had to deliver to Akila, Jemison, Neon & Cydonia. Also, there is unique dialogue if you picked the "Raised Universal" trait when you meet the Sanctum Universal pilgrims, and when they find out you're a fellow believer, they will give you a random food item. Finally, I love running into the Valentine, and so far, in the 4 or so times I've run across him, he's sung 3 different songs.
I gotta say, though, that the random space encounters really are delightful when I'm out & about surveying random systems for potential outpost locations.

Every time I find Mrs. Whitmore It's early and I never have the ship parts. I only managed to find her later one time and FINALLY helped the poor lady. Felt good.
I've encountered the extended ship warranty guy so many times I've been able to experience every option. Tried to kill him but he grav jumped mid fight. Actually impressive considering he's the only person to ever do that in my hours.
If you take out the grav & engines, could you board it?

My star parcels have all been to Neon. I have had 2 so far and I'm at lvl 40
I desperately need one to deliver to Neon so I can find the ship technician. I had the glitch where he never spawned and people say that usually means the game dropped him way out in the middle of the ocean somewhere 💀
Oxhorn bee bopping to The Valentine song was entertaining.
It's funny, because I used the Star Parcel to track down the ship technician for New Atlantis after my space port glitched. I literally found him and a handful of NPCs about 2k outside the city in the middle of the forest 💀
Not even 100 hours into my first run and Im getting alot of bugs involving NPCs and spaceports.
The valentine is one of the best 😂😂😂

I've never gotten the lemonade one, but I've gotten Grandma and Valentine multiple times. I love the Valentine one.
Probably my favorite random encounter series, and one Oxhorn can't get on his current livestream run involves the Starseed quest.
At the end of it, if you resolve it in such a way that Genghis Khan gets to leave the Crucible, you keep having escalating encounters with him. The first time you run into him he's in a damaged (and unarmed) Pik-Up Cargo ship. Where he mentioned having just defeated 3 Spacers in battle by ramming them and startling them with his batshit crazy. The second time he's in an armed ship and actively taking on Crimson Fleet. The third time he's in a bigger armed ship taking on a FC Squadron...
With some rather fun conversations that come with each of them as he just grows more powerful and to bigger exploits each time you encounter him.
Still can't believe Bethesda got Nathan Evans, the singer of Wellerman sea shanty, to sing some in this game

When I did the Star Parcel quest, I was arrested by the UC SysDef and that started the Crimson fleet quest.
I got arrested after accidentally snatching a juice box that was sitting on a counter top. Having that quest trigger as a result was hilarious

My 2 unforgettable ones are old lady that invites us for a lunch and 5th grade that joked us about black hole before running away on a jump.
I remember when Oxhorn did random encounters videos on Fallout, even classic ones, they had like hundreds of thousands views. And now Starfield. 16k views in 3 weeks. Why the hell Oxhorn is still covering that game?

Regarding Faraday’s Budget Tours, it seems that if one of the Constellation companions is your active follower while you get that encounter, they may tease you just before you answer the last question (the one about “l’amor”). Or at least Sarah Morgan does, as she was following the player both times I’ve seen it happen (my own playthrough and that of a streamer)

By oxhorn videos this game seems to be so cool, I enjoyed fallout 4 a lot... I don't know why there's so many people hating on the game, maybe is really a trend nowadays to hate on everything...
I do like games with good and interesting random encounters as it makes the game world or galaxy more lived in.
Starfield is honestly almost too lived in. It doesn't feel like you're discovering anything.
I have come across several of those encounters, but not the Valentine as of yet.
Hey Oxhorn, I know you were complaining about storage issues for making lore vids. Have you looked into personal server hub towers. They're assenchually data storage units linked to your personal network only and hold nothing but hard drives and the necessary components to link and quickly send/process data back and forth. I had a couple back in the day when I worked on cad projects with my Dad They hold 6-8 hard drives each depending on the size your looking for. For what you do you probably need to up your setup for these data space eating games. Leave save game play files on the main PC and transfer recorded game play footage to the storage towers to prevent your current issues.
With the Valentine encounter if Im not confusing everything, isn't the East India Trading Company in Skyrim? Maybe Im nuts.
You're thinking of the East EMPIRE trading company, which is based on the real-world "East India Company" which was the British company that basically invaded and Occupied India during the 'Age of Sail' (so 1700s-1800s).

The Star Parcel deliveries are randomized, and repeat. I've had quite a number of urgent deliveries across 2 playthroughs, now headed to Cydonia, Titan, Akila City, Neon, and New Atlantis. Might've even had one to the Clinic, can't swear to that.

A warning for the Star Parcel delivery : If you get Neon as the destination, the Ship Services Technician can be unreachable as he spawns in the ocean for some people..... I've had an "urgent" parcel stuck in my inventory for a good few in-game weeks now

All the space encounters feel like a rushed feature, would've been way better if you could dock the ships or have some kind of video call with them but it's just dialogue, not even an animation or anything related to transfering items / rewards.

their actually a NPC forgot who ever told you that their family wanna to keep the accent going since it is family thing like to imagine maybe lot of family didn’t want the accent to vanish for good to they try to keep it living on probably
Probably, yeah. But, new ones would spring up. So much easier to use existing Earth accents than try to anticipate or make up new ones. I'd imagine there'd be TONS of new accents. I mean, look at how (relatively) tiny England is and how many accents it has! There'd be accents for each warehouse in Neon. Ok, maybe that's an exaggeration.
So it’s against company policy for non employees to board a Star Parcel ship but they can hand parcel over with no problem? Sounds like a trap.

Yeah,... I was waiting on a double cross until after I boarded. After hearing her story I didn't even loot the free food. It made me feel like a jaded person always looking for something bad to happen
@lloydkeith3061 she was the moment I realized Bethesda actually wrote a fairly normal universe. A genuine "what if an extraordinary thing happened in the real world" type of story. It really shows how brutal the normal Fallout shit is when the people are just normal people living their lives before getting killed in some brutal and/or sad way
