When I got this quest it was in Altair system, same system as Groundpounders. I wish it was static in Altair, because it felt immersive, like spacers really were trying to organize and take over that system. Though repetitive, it made sense. I also had my first outpost there, and my outpost neighbor was also a member of LIST. So by the end, I had a strong attachment to the system.
Shame about the despawning and other random aspects, takes some shine off a great quest.
I got the quest in Altair as well. Great job imagining the role play aspect of it all and I agree with you, it's a shame about the despawning.
For me it happened in Tau Ceti when I went to do the Vanguard questline so I at first thought it was part of that quest especially since I had been sent to that system to fix a comms array.
I got the quest in Olympus system
Altair for me too, and agree, it felt planned! Jump into the system and immediately get two back-to-back distress calls about spacer trouble?
I genuinely thought that was scripted!
I can already tell people are gonna make a giant mod to make the farm a big important location to make it a full on prosperous colony to continue this quest
knowing how incompetent LIST is, that would make less sense.

I love Phil Hill. I love randomly hearing his chirpy "Hey there!" as I rummage around the nexus on a planet on the other side of the galaxy from Cydonia, making me go, "WTF are YOU doing here???" I love how his sketchy-ass grin reminds me of a prankster I know, so you kinda go, "hmmm, I dunno if I should trust this guy". Kind of wish we could romance him.
I'm like 99% sure he's voiced by Brian David Gilbert, who is an absolutely hilarious, ridiculous and genius RUclipsr. Or at least he was.

there is an elevator near the control room, that lead to the back of the secured door, its just a faster exit route.
The station and farms despawn, because this a randomised quest, it is randomised were you get the call, this could happen in a total different system

This is the kinda thing that stings a little. Ox is back to doing the deep dives into these games that drew me to the channel in the first place, and I can't even watch 'em yet, because I haven't gotten to this game yet.

That last locked door in the first area is the Skyrim door. If you go through the upper level in the second area, there is another elevator that leads to that door from the flip side. Great Vid!

Yeah, I noticed everything about this quest vanishing in my game as well. I found an abandoned farm in the system that matched the farm in this quest, but all other traces were gone.

I guess they could be nomadic colonists that set up temporary outposts until they get enough resources to move to another more suitable environment.
I watched this for one reason…that DAMN DOOR. 😂 I must have wandered the space station three times over trying to access it. The good thing is it was inaccessible after all. It’s a good mission though.

Lots of memorable quests in Cydonia. I have a soft spot for the boy asking me to chat with his mother so she may feel better. Then there's getting that weirdo the first volume of Dragonstar Force, which reads a lot like a blend of Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings.
If you keep going back to him there are more issues of that book.

@@lucianjaeger4893I like that one as well, and I also saw those frog posters in key locations across the settled systems after completing that quest, and not just in my outposts either; I saw them as far away as Neon
although due to laws set up after the Colony War, LIST settlers couldn't get help even if they wanted it and by its main selling point they probably wouldn't.

despite star field being literally fallout in space, I kinda like it, keep up the lore video's Ox.
they got lazy in starfield, not keeping them in so you can visit them later is such a dick move by the devs, but the story is nice.

I wonder if the whole thing vanishing is a game glitch of some kind, or you were ment to go visit right after this in order to start the next quest with them to prevent their colonies from mutual destruction. Or even seeing the List guy to bring up your concerns within a hidden time limit. in order to completely save them. It's just weird that it all just vanished. If they programmed this to disappear shortly after completing it, but don't let you get the oppertunity to go back and check on them when they leave it off like you could. That would leave a rather bitter and unsatisfactory taste in players mouths. Which you would think Bethesda would have learned by now that doing things like that enrages their player base

Plot twist. It was all a big scam to get you to settle a grudge they had with some spacers. That's why the "farm" was so small. It was just a small temp base setup for the illusion.
I saw another play through where the last enemy was in that locked room the computer was just outside the door and inside was just a couple of space suit cases
The disappearance of the colony makes me think that you may have stumbled across Starfield's very own ghost story.

I personally found this quest on a trip to the perfectly habitable Eridani II due to its resemblance to planet Reach from Halo but this idiot chose the completely barren Eridani I. I also didn’t even have to talk to the fix it Felix guy but I got the quest anyway
take all but 1 bar out of msl and redistribute...I almost never fire more then 4 missiles and always have enough energy for them.
I still farm the food that goes into factor.

They’re more like the city states of ancient times with that the France pack then the organization, your name since the whole organization’s real purpose is not a defense pack, but a anti-Russia pack, so you can’t really compare them
