ECA are not bad, like the brass hydro block. Poor old lady, glad she found a decent team to get her sorted in the end. Nightmare scenario when guys who have no business touching gas and don't even know how to tightness test go about trying to fit boilers.
Crikey blimp that so called plumber would not want his own grandmother stitched up would he ? You are credit to the heating industry.honest and hard working. And on a note. Dust sheets are a trip hazard . and dangerous i've seen people trip on them . So to the keyboard worriers.get real. As long as you work clean and tidy then the customer is happy. You can always wear over shoes. Keep up the fantastic content.
How much expanding foam under the old boiler. Poor customer being conned by that guy with the Worcester boiler (why do people do that). Not my choice of boiler that you ended up fitting though... (was that a Worcester system filter?) :) Nice outcome in the end. (hopefully the customer recoups her losses - (gofundme?)) good job though.
We went for the most cost effective solution as she was already out of pocket by thousands. The ECA boiler still has a stainless steel heat exchanger, brass internals and a 5yr warranty so can't go wrong. Yes we kept the Worcester filter as we had already bought it for the job 👍🏽
Nice touch to sell and reimburse the customer.. Dodgy tradesmen Just went to re connect a gas supply where a dodgy engineer had charged a family with 3 small children top money to fit a second hand cooker ( no fsd's) and connect the cooker and extractor hood to the Switched spur socket outlet plus fit a new ceiling light ... Cadet was called to smell of gas and capped the meter. I disconnected the cooker and reinstated the supply so as the boiler was back on. Trust me..I'm not an electrician but the wiring was absolutely shocking not to mention dangerous. He cut the moulded plug off the cooker and cut off the earth cable and wired directly into the back of the socket outlet, wires showing he then joined the cut off plug to the extractor lead and taped up before plugging in to the switched spur socket outlet. The light fitting was fitted even worse with joints just taped with electrical tape... Scammers out there guys..
Sometimes I don't use dust sheets as well bro 😅 main thing is boiler is installed, customer have HW and CH 👍
Yup!
Jeez expanding foam….why?.😢
To make life a challenge 🤣
