Sometimes! I think what I try to remember though is that these are just a few people in the community and the rest of it is actually really positive :) Streaming and hanging out with my community, reading the comments, all that stuff shows me it’s worth it :)

Well, I have to say that I never heard of you both, but thanks to RUclips algorithm, I'm proudly here after watching the whole video - also, it is interesting how the "toxic" TTV is the content in this case and how he would like to spread toxicity, but at the same time the video is going to do anything but that, as we can see through the comments, especially here where you are such nice guys with the potential of building a good community by just typing a few comments

That dude has never played killer in his life. I play survivor more, but playing both sides helps gameplay and understanding in virtually every way. I'm not sure his mindset is all that fixable though.
@KruxSmash Absolutely. I used to get angry when I'd get hit during a vault (thinking I made it). Then I saw what it looks like on the other side. Seeing how off I was most of the time helped my in game decision making a lot. It also showed me it wasn't the killer's fault that my ass was still on his side of the window, and I shouldn't blame them for it. Lots of small things like that came together after a while.
Playing killer gives you more perspective and understand stuff like "hey there's also humans behind a screen playing this role too, they also wanna win and have fun-" and not automatically assume it's toxic or blame everything on them for just... playing to win. Honestly you'll never grow if it's always someone's fault to you, you gotta see your own mistakes.
It also helps in getting shit can be rough for killer too, like it's easy to only play survivor and get into the habit of thinking "you're always the target never the other side" but you'll learn it's all the same and everyone is assholes to everyone here.
In terms of gameplay absolutely it helps, like ik why I get hit in certain situations or knowing where survivors tend to hide as killer etc, it's just helpful all around.
Only reason I win as either is because I think what I would do if I were the other one

I just got out of a game and a Claudette ran me around the match for most of the game (no hate it was legit impressive ,the looping was amazing), this Claudette ended up getting hatch, another survivor started ripping into this survivor saying they did nothing and just stood around. I've never seen such a salty survivor in my life luckily the Claudette was really nice and just took it on the head, but what are these survivors on nowadays -=- . Like at the end of the day it was a well play game on both sides I dont understand the toxicity.
People just seem to want to complain 🙄 it’s so ridiculous :(

@@rasmachris94 oh yeah. I run never crouch so if the killer isn't on me at the beginning I assume their on someone else. They need to add more BP and stuff for looping
Sometimes you just have to respect the survivor that makes you look like a monkey. I usually will leave such a survivor and pursue weaker links in the team, but if I'm gonna give someone a hatch/exit gate, it's the survivor who doesn't BM while playing like a motherfucking god.
One of my favorite streamers who has become a good friend of mine always reminds people that playing to win is fine but DBD is also a five person experience. This really hammers it home.

I feel like a lot of people forget that it's a 5 person experience. Idk it's like they focus so much on winning (or bullying) at any cost that they forget to have fun. I've lost countless matches just trying out builds that I don't see showcased on YT. Ones that I personally feel will work really well together. Sometimes they do but when they dont it's because I'm not that good at looping or the killer outplayed me on the occasions I'm looping good like on killer shack which is my strongest loop atm. Do I care when I lose? Nah. It's a game, the killer is proud of themselves and I'm sure I have them some laughable moments and just knowing that makes me want to keep playing. Trying different perk combos for my enjoyment, and when I'm outplayed, the killer hopefully enjoys it. I wish this community was less toxic. Hell i might start streaming just to bring some light to the dark times people like this streamer cause. This game is meant to be fun for everyone,win or lose. Idk what streamer said what you did but they are amazing and so are you. Keep playing if you do and bring more light to the game
People need to know that these are games they are meant to be fun. DBD is just an intense game for both killers and survivors. Btw love your videos Aaron

I was playing Pyramid Head today (I've played with him like 2 times before, I'm still terrible, but I try :D) and I had this Bill who was teabagging me the whole time, trying to stun me and clicking his flashlight non-stop. I was annoyed so after like a minute of this I left the chase and went after a David, whom I hooked but got off the hook imediately. Turns out, the Bill followed me. So uh, I killed him first

You know something mate, PH is a tough killer. I've played Wraith, Doc, Hag, Legion, Nurse, Nemesis and PH. IN each killers game I managed a 3/4k in my first match, and managed consistent performance. Like sometimes you get taken for a noob, but most of the time I perform well enough. But PH... I absolutely got shit on when I played him. THe sensitivity changes while using your abilities is really really hard to do. So yeah, I get being terrible on PH, he's a very tough killer to play IMO.

My advice for ph is that faking your ability than using is helping a ton since survs try to dodge it and will lose distance because they arent running straight and hitting them while in animation like vaulting. I can recommendate nurse calling for some juicy wall hack ability hits or use it if u assume they work on a gen because most survs tend to overstay.

Franklin's Demise isn't bad, especially when you face a squad of flashlight users, it just triggers them to not be able to flash you because they'll probably prioritize to pick up their flashlight than to focus on their own safety. XD
I used to run Franklin's when I was new, but as I've gotten more experienced I now think flashlights are extremely weak items that are countered by quick 180s, looking down, and walls.
I have to be going against a SWF of extremely coordinated survivors abusing things like locker saves in Dead Dawg Saloon to have issues with them, even then, they're not doing gens so... 😂
it's also good on hag, you can literally make them hate life especially if you have the addon that lets you teleport directly or the addon that doesn't let them know that the trap activated
Literally the amount of times I've had a survivor literally stop in front of me at a loop to try and pick up their beamer rather than take the extra distance is insane 😂
@@josemedina1805 franklin's always has value, and not for flashlights, but for medkits and toolboxes. Killers who run franklin's for flashlights are new or not very good.

I went against a bully swf the other day and 3 of the survivors were decent but very altruistic which got them killed, as is the norm for bully squads. But this one Nea was hilarious to me. Whenever she got near me, she started spamming her flashlight. The first time, she started clicking then immediately ran into a wall, got hit, then ran straight into another wall. 5 second chase. The second “chase” was an obvious head on play since their teammate was teabagging in a dead zone in front of a locker. They went down fast. The third time was when I downed someone else near a window. I could hear their loud breathing and faked a pickup. They vault through and get hit. I fake the pickup AGAIN and they vault back to their death again. I wish I could see their reaction.
This is what I'm saying, people like that are rarely ever the skilled ones of the team 😂 Sounds like you had a fun game though, ggs!

I appreciate your point at the end so much. This community can be really frustrating, I wish the conversation about this game would center more on fun than on "meta-builds", chase-prowess and so on. Like, people should be proud when they played well and wanting to get better at the game is only natural, if you have invested a bit of time into it. But the way so many people can only comprehend the game in terms of winning and losing, is just... sad. And I am not preaching here, that little voice is in my head too and I can get really frustrated. Which is exactly why I wished that as a community we would focus our conversation a little less on "skill". Because "skill" is made out to be this people-defining constant which either means you are trash and a noob or a god at the game. I mean, this is the exact hang-up this TTV had. Not being able to deal with a loss, to be defined by a bad play - because "skill" is this defining constant we possess. Which of course is utter bullshit. We have better and worse days. We have times were we can concentrate well and play really efficient and other times were we have a headache and just want to play for a bit of distraction. So it could never be a constant. And we all have our little idiosyncrasies and specialities that would never fit into a singular "skill". Especially with a game like DbD where you have different killers who all play very differently and are countered differently and survivor builds that can vastly change how you play that role efficiently. All this to say: you are right. We should talk more about that a specific play was good, because all the talk about "skill" and "winning and losing" results in toxicity because we are better when we win and when we lose the other side was trash or played unfairly - it feeds insecurities, in all of us.
Also about 2:34, my tactic going against clicky-clicky survivors: Straight up, ignore them. Slap 'em when they give you a free hit but never chase. These survivors want the chase and believe me, they will waste their team's time trying to get your attention as killer. Good survivors will realise after a while that you are not giving them the chase and will go back on gens but have in the meantime wasted a decent amount of time. The funniest survivors are those that are so insistent that you chase them, that they follow you around the whole game - only wasting time while you go after their teammates. I had this Claudette once follow me around *the entire game* always clicking and wanting to get chased while I killed two of their teammates. I was so amazed that after I downed the last remaining teammate - a Kate who ran me quite decently - I decided I wouldn't give that Claudette even the possibility of hatch. So I picked up the Kate went in front of a hook, shook my head and then went to a gen and nodded. They understood and after they wiggled free they went on the gen right in front of me. The Claudette, again directly behind me, went down after a short chase. I hooked her and went to the Kate who was happily doing gens. After that Claudette realised nobody would help her, she gave up on hook and I gave the other survivor hatch. I will cherish the little "ggs

I actually really appreciate this comment because it's something I really struggle with. I'm the type of person that *feels* like I should be better at the game than I am, and sometimes have a hard time disassociating from the mentality of loss=bad. Oh I didn't get any kills? I suck. I'm trying really hard to steer away from that mindset and go into it just hoping to have some fun and learn something. It can be really tough when people can be SO mean.
@@kasu9 I relate to this struggle 100%! I have 1.2K hours in this game and "I should be better at the game than I am" is a thought that comes again and again and again... That mindset is really tough to get rid of, one needs to train one's own brain, work through some negative emotions and defend against the near constant reinforcement of this mindset through other players. As you say: it's tough! But your comment definitely helps me dealing with it, it's nice to know that I am not alone with these feelings :)

@Lars Liam Vilhelm it is useful if they are running wish beamers 1. Because it doesn’t blind you but mostly because you see their aura too. That’s important for a huntress
The only real problem I have with this game is when you're trying to invite people to 4 stack will sometimes take 30 minutes to get people in because it will keep saying invite failed lol
That happens to me sometimes tbf 😂 I normally get someone else to host the lobby and try it that way :)
Starstruck and Lightborn are such a great combo, especially with Mad Grit. The only times I don't run Lightborn is when I'm going for adepts because that way, the clicking doesn't disturb me.

I was streaming a few days ago and I kept playing to win and every time a surviver came into my stream I was mentally prepared to handle a salty surviver. HOWEVER, every one that came in was nice and even the one spirit I got that was slapping me on hook and after she downed me started to swing, she even came in and said 'sorry the flashlight saves were annoying me', this community CAN be toxic at times, but it's nice to know that there are a lot of good sports in the game as well.

This man's motto makes me think he's roleplaying; everything he says is the definition of what people associate with toxic survivor mains, so I have a feeling he's trying to grow a community of people that lean into his act.
Regardless of whether or not he's playing a character, I don't find the stuff he does in-game to be toxic, because I'm inclined to think it's all fair game (mostly) and everyone has fun their way, though it is hilarious how he expects all killers he goes against to fall for every trick in the book he probably saw in some trolling compilation.
But I don't know, I guess clicking a flashlight for 20 seconds just to immediately get downed is an effective strategy for the killer to DC! If anything, stomping cocky survivors that can't last in chase fuels killers with confidence.

Also, I think this person needs a break from the game to be honest. It's crazy with his mentality with how he thinks he has to be toxic to get a raise out of making someone's else day bad. Some killers are just chilling and having a good time and don't care about clicks, tea bags and all that. He would be complaining if there wasn't any killers playing, so he should be lucky to be honest. I've been binge watching these videos! Keep up the awesome work buddy

Clickers are usually ego players and go down fast, which is funny to me xD
I get that clicking usually means "hey killer please chase me" but the best times are when they then go down immediately after clicking.
I don't usually either chase the clickers, mostly because they want me to chase and if they are clicking and chasing me they are not doing gens which is what I want.
Also, sometimes the clicker who wants to be chased could actually be really good at looping, so I also don't usually chase because of that. :D

Thanks for making these videos. As a casual DbD player playing for about a year now, I don’t know all of the nuance of the game mechanics when is comes to the perks. I usually just focus on leveling characters and use whatever perks I get in the blood web. I’ve only just stating figuring out which perk I like to play with. Watching your videos help me understand how to be a more respectful player and to better understand the etiquette of the game. Thank you for posting.

I used to stream DBD myself awhile back, and while some things can get frustrating I still always tried my best to laugh it off and be polite to the other players. I ended up stopping because people in my chat showed insane amounts of toxicity towards me or other players in my lobbies. I don't play the game nearly at all anymore but I do still love to watch the content. Thank you for bringing attention to this sort of behavior in an effort to raise community awareness and trying to spread positivity.

The funny thing I find from people who are intentionally trying to bully and/or be toxic - when they lose they love to say something like "Well I wasn't really trying" or "I was just having fun I didn't care if I escaped" etc... To which I say: Sure Jan :)

Just clicking will only piss off noobs, anyone with any experience or a lot like Pug won’t get mad unless you can hold a chase for 3 minutes on top of the standard BM. I’ve actually been told that several times. When I question why stand the exit gate for so long. They tell me everyone’s toxic Duke. Eventually I just sort of stopped caring Duke, now I just pull up my phone and wait for them to leave

Just gonna say. If he is the most toxic or thinks YOU HAVE TO BE TOXIC. Then he sucks in both cases cause 1 he sounds more mad than anyone else he has come across so far and 2 why is he like 'hes camping hes tunneling his is trash' well by your standards you have to be toxic so why should the killer respect your rule book or your fun at that point its ment to be toxic (obviously his words).

Thank you! Without Killers, there is no game. I play both Survivor and Killer and try to be respectful. I joined DBD last September and I love the game. Hell, I'm working on theme builds for both Survivors and Killers. For example, Undertaker Deathslinger, based on the Undertaker from Backwater Gospel and Death from Pussy in Boots 2. Another theme build, Ranger Bill, hunting down Survivors who start fires with their noisy gens. Namahage Oni, Yuki-Onna Spirit, Jack-o'-Lantern Knight, Scarecrow Wraith, Birch Hag, and Jack Frost Ghostface. It's fun with these builds, and those are just the Killers, Cowgirl Kate, King Felix, Jake Wolf, Pixie Claudette, Meg Gretel, Black Cat Nea, Pop-Eye David, Soldier Bill, Pilot Zarina and many others.

@@AaronDukeYT absolutely i will admit at the time in game i was frustrated every time i tried to hook they pulled off some excellent plays but despite been frustrated i didnt feel the need to insult them and as you have said many times its okay to get a little frustrated but
that frustration ended when the game ended and i can respect and except i got out played they were a solid team
I think it's okay to be toxic to a certain degree. Clicking teabags hitting on hook, ringing your bell as wraith or grunting as pig. It's those moments where it becomes out of anger that it's no longer an alright thing to do. We have so many thing to be upset about in real life video games are where we go to escape and have fun in a fake reality. That's where it should end.

Played the game for 5 years the past 2 years in particular have been really toxic and as a survivor main it tends to be survivors who are more toxic I’ve literally played killer maybe a dozen times and I suck so I have mad respect for killer maims . The way I look at it I go into game and pretend I’m in a horror movie 😂if I die then I die if I survivor then even better it’s game wish players would remember this . Great content mate 😊
The other day I was playing After Hours killer. Messing with some fun builds. Played as Doctor. Got a 4k. In end game the worst of the 4 survivors says "GG to the survivors." So I took the bait and said "GG to you! You did your best!" He has 9k points amd I wanted to basically nudge him a little. He said "Nope! Not GG. Loser. Play as a real killer." Takes all kind Aaron! Glad I found you man!

I really dont understand why people get so heated over this game. I've recently just went back to DBD myself. My friends and I have come up with the "Death Race" which we have a bit of a laugh about which is where we do the gens and such but if whoever dies first we just have a bit of a laugh about it rather than getting mad.

I’m one of the most teabaggy, clicky survivors on earth. However, chase is my favorite. Ask anyone that knows me and they’ll tell you I can’t stand doing generators. So I click and try to get chase. If I die, I die. I will never take it outside of the match though and I’m always kind in endgame chat.
You can do annoying things in the game without making your whole personality trait being a piece of sh*t.

I have learned to just let things go in this game I mainly play survivor and just today I played a few games died all but the last one and I had a blast by just laughing at mistakes I made or mistakes the killer may have made. The last one I survived to show that you don't want to be or need to be toxic, two of the people in my party DCed so the killer decided to turn friendly and allowed me and the other person in my party to survive he did not need to do that but he chose to so we allowed him to break pallets we allowed him to hook us twice each he allowed us to fix gen's and escape it was pretty awesome.

One thing to note is when he said that line “I have no respect for the killers in this game. It’s what I thrive for, pissing people off.” It really showed me that he has no respect for himself. I’ve suffered from mental health since I was very young, mainly when I started playing Apex in 2019. That’s when I started learning from others how to cope and insult people. I’ve changed a lot, but I can tell that this guy seems to have no love for himself and has built this delusion that he’s almighty and great for being toxic. It’s like coping with how poorly he plays at times. “I’m not doing well but I’m gonna make it your issue and fault”. It’s sad to watch this video but he crosses the line so many times. Awesome video btw🌸💕🌱 keep up the good work and spreading love~ hopefully more and more people can see this and change.
