    I find it interesting cause Survivors always have two things to say to Killers.
    1) Don't tunnel
    2) Don't be surprised when you lose cause you overcommit to one chase. You need to leave chase and pressure Gens.
    But it's funny cause sometimes those two conflict. If I'm over here not chasing one or maybe even two Survivors cause either they are really good, got real lucky tile generation, or maybe even both, then I'm gonna commit more to the other two. Oh. But now I'm tunneling. So basically it becomes "If you can't get a quick down on the best Looper on the team, regardless of tile and Pallet RNG, you deserve to lose. Cause you deserve to lose for overcommiting to a chase. But also Tunnelers don't deserve to win." Like.
    Bruh no. I gotta take my victories when I can. And sometimes that means ignoring the "good" looper who holds forward to Garden of Joy Main Building every time they get hit and going after the one who's clearly a bit more lost instead.

    • @rasmachris94
      @rasmachris94 2 года назад +16

      And that's not factoring in that cognitive dissonance people have around being tunnelled in the first place.
      You could be chasing everyone equally, but if you kill someone they say you're tunnelling despite the fact that you let them off hook to chase other survivors, or once downed changed targets.

    • @memeseeku3618
      @memeseeku3618 2 года назад

      You’ll get better though as a killer if you’re not just going for the weak links, but I get wanting to ensure the win and go for the other later - however as utility on the map expires if the weaker loopers use them - the better loopers won’t be able to allow you to get better at looping as killer.

    • @nat-uraldisasterpieces8647
      @nat-uraldisasterpieces8647 2 года назад +7

      @@memeseeku3618 Yeah but sometimes I'm not always trying to get better.
      Maybe I'm just trying to get the last Pip I need to rank up in Iridescent.
      Maybe I'm trying to get a tome challenge done.
      Maybe I'm playing a Killer I'm not too good with and the weaker links are challenge enough for me while I am learning that Killer's basics.
      And as I said. Sometimes it isn't ALWAYS that the Survivor is super good. They could just get real lucky with tile generation. I saw a buddy playing Killer on Twitch get the nastiest setup of interconnecting Jungle Gyms and that I had ever seen on Suffocation Pit. Like it didn't take an amazing looper to waste plenty of time in that area.
      And making smart tactical decisions is part of being a good killer too. Like yes...why would I chase the Healthy Survivor to a strong tile set up in a no-pressure zone when I can chase "Still injured from being unhooked 3 minutes ago" who decides to run to one unsafe pallet in the otherwise wide open.
      Sometimes Survivors make crappy decisions that also get them and their teammates killed and it shouldn't always be up to the Killer to excuse every single one to be "uwu fun and nice and fair" like no. Hold that L.

    • @kuzuryuu8981
      @kuzuryuu8981 2 года назад +3

      @@memeseeku3618 You can be an amazing killer going against an amazing looper and the better choice would be going for a weaker looper. The map and tiles are very dependent on who you go for and THATS what makes you a good killer, knowing when to drop chase, knowing who to go for, and knowing which tiles will benefit you.

    • @Adameia_
      @Adameia_ Год назад +2

      Exactly. Plus if the good looper who likes being chased SEES you ignoring them for the weak link they will sometimes go out of their way into less favorable positioning to interfere potentially allowing you to get them. It's called strategy

    One time I was playing on Haddonfield against a trickster.
    I had boil over equipped and managed to find myself in a position that I was In the house of Pain. So naturally I made use of this and tried to make it as difficult as possible for the trictor to get me out of the basement and on to a hook. There was only like one other survivor left so I was at least just trying to distract the trickster while they did stuff. After a couple minutes of trying the trickster was eventually able to get me onto a hook and gave me just a little bit of a love tap on the hook for my trouble.
    In the post game chat he was really civil and actually apologized, saying "Sorry for hitting you on the hook, but it was just so frustrating getting you out of that basement."
    To which I replied with "It's all good. I kinda earned it."
    It was all very Civil. He technically BM'd me And I was using an incredibly cheesy tactic, But we both acknowledged to each other that we weren't doing it to try and be assholes.

      100%
      I remember streaming a game (I want to say Need For Speed Underground) and this is like my 100th stream while encountering bots and I went on a massive rant about it and it completely killed the vibe of a chilled stream with kick-ass music with kick-ass cars to the point that I said I was gonna take a 2 week break to calm down so I don't have another rant that could of been worse then the first, venting is good but sometimes you can bottle up something until something makes you snap and vent out everything in a situation where it was inappropriate thats why I always do a week break when I stream (so one week I stream, the next I don't and repeat) so I can unwind and not bottle shit up and have it burst out during stream
      Breaks are always good, no matter the situation, if you feel like you're getting annoyed or angry easily and can't calm down, take a break from what you're doing, one of the many things I've learnt from being a streamer, eventhough I learnt it the hard way, it's still a lesson

    • @Noriii24

      There's a difference between being angry/cranky (bad day, bad match, etc. emotions in general) and being toxic.
      The difference is the time you hold onto it. Being toxic is something that you feed and it gets worse if you don't change your mindset. Getting angry about a game is normal, but you need to know that's the signal to take a break to reset your mood and to avoid getting tilted and toxic.
      It's not worth getting all clingy in endgame chat bc the killer tunneled you or did something you didn't like, the more you spend there the more you feed the nasty feeling and that feeling starts snowballing making everything toxic.

  • @trueguardian32

    I have a really hard time with things like this. I have friends who are streamers who have a hard time seeing things from the killers POV, and go "They are tunneling!" at 2 to 1 gens left, and I have to go "They are trying to get pressure, we have them down to 2 gens." This happens on repeat whenever I'm playing with someone who mainly plays survivor. I will claim tunneling sometimes, but I don't tunneling in a mean way, I normally go "THEY WANT MEH DEAD!" Normally in my best attempt at a silly voice. This is a repeat sort of thing that happens a lot when I play with others. I rather dislike it, but at the same time I can see where they are coming from, they want to escape, to get out. To say that they won. To their credit they won't carry it past the game for long. HOWEVER, in the video in question, that Dredge did EXACTLY what the TTV wanted, they chased them, and the TTV wanted to push it, to make the killer feel bad for something the TTV wanted in the first place. Honestly, at this part I couldn't care, he could have been getting his frustrations out via end game chat. Something a lot of people do. But he attacked his viewers, commenters, and people who couldn't watch the live stream due to time constraints or general lack of interest in twitch, just because they wanted to defend the Dredge and try to get him to see the Dredges POV. They weren't there during the Livestream, SURE! OF COURSE! But they watched the video. They watched what you did, they watched what the Dredge did. They may have a point that your just trying to ignore and justify yourself.
    On to the rest? Well, all I can say is Toxic Survivor Main, cause that is legit all I can say. He embodies the title of entitled toxic survivor main.

      Had this issue with a Streamer I played both against as Killer and then with when I said hi. Thought they were chill but I guess vs anyone who wasn't me they always cried Tunnelling even when...it wasn't tunneling.
      Example. Streamer gets Hooked. Saved. Decides Gen before healing with another Survivor. Another Survivor gets chased, downed, and hooked. Killer checks that Gen. Streamer cries Tunneling when the Killer goes after them and not the healthy Survivor they were next to. I'm like "You had time to heal..." But they weren't having it. They were "tunnelled" cause they never recovered from the state they were left in after getting off the hook.
      I think Survivors need to realize a lot of times Killers just make decisions off of "Who is the easier down cause an easier down becomes a easier hookstate which becomes pressure." I never consider hookstates. I operate on "If it's in front of me it's getting hit" and "Well if I hit you take that speedboost to a strong tile that still has its pallet in a no-pressure zone but if I hit THAT person who never bothered to heal in the 3 minutes I left them alone, I get a down." I'm sorry sometimes that does lead to unfun experiences but I'm not gonna throw games to be nice.
      Like you never see Survivors stop cranking Gens when they're winning by a landslide. DBD community places so much pressure on the Killer to babysit every person's experience.

    • @rasmachris94
      @rasmachris94 2 года назад +6

      I think it's that they dont play killer or try to see it from their perspective.
      I dont play killer either but at least I recognise the killers perspective, if everyone is alive no one on death hook and we have 2 gens left the killer is going to be more ruthless because they at least want a 1k.
      Tunnelling is just playing efficiently. Like it or not it's the most optimal way to win a match.
      With 1 less survivor out early game [say 1 gen popped] only 2 can do gens, and 1 has to distract me.
      So they're not just down 1 person, they're down 2 because another person has to be the distraction.
      If the 2nd person cant loop me, they go down and only 1 person can be on gens at any given time.

What would make him actually wholesome would be him - EVEN IF HE UPLOADED THE VIDEO BUT CUT THE END GAME CHAT OUT - going "I was really mean to this killer for no reason and if you see this, I apologise." Just yesterday i had to deal with someone assuming i was female (which i am, but the point is he latched onto assuming it without actually knowing) and proceeding to fill a chat with an insane amount of derogatory and sexist comments. all because i wouldn't 1v1 him in a game after i had killed him once, and he assumed i was "scared", when in fact i knew what would happen at either outcome if i did. If i won, he would try and challenge me to another or accuse me of a number of things. If i lost, he would brag and insult and generally be unpleasant. Its predictable behaviour these days, but it shouldn't be.

I know that not everyone has the same mentality as I do when it comes to clicking. I basically use it to communicate, but I don't expect every killer to just not get aggravated by it. So I EXPECT killers to tunnel/target me and I don't get bitchy and entitled when they do. What else were they going to do? I WANT the chase because it's fun for me and I also want the killer to get their fun from it as well. If I notice the killer is a beginner I back off of the sweat a bit and encourage them to stick with me. But at the end of the day I want a chase where we are both sweating our titties off trying to win, and congratulate each other on good plays. I'm not trying to toot my own horn, I'm not special and there are many people who have the same outlook as I do. I'm just trying to push the point that it isn't hard to be a good person and chill tf out.

    YT has recommended you so many times,and i have been leaving my passionate essays in the comments section,so i might have pushed in a red button when you read this. The least i could do!
    I have a fresh story of myself to bring to the table. A young "Kate" wich i happen to know,unaware of it were in a match with 2 streamers being in a SWF (they didnt wear TTV in theyr names,but I later tracked all of theyr social medias and streaming platforms) This "Kate" got interupted by someone else in the household (short errand),she went into the locker to avoid being in anyones way and hopefully being back before the crows started making loud bangs,attracting the killer. She was really quick,so she only had 1 crow above her head. This one streamer was hooked just outside the shack she was afk`ing in. She ran out,got this streamer off hook and healed him all the way up. She does random things like do some totems (it was a Wraith so she expected NOED in endgame) Then she runs back to the shack and starts working on a gen,but then multiple people get downed so she reacts naturally by leaving the gen,runs up to watch (this was on the winter map) When she gets closer,shes able to see whats going on,there is 2 people flocking around the hook,with the killer....and a Leon is on the hook. They basically are 2 people helping to facecamp Leon to death. Killer only pretended to down one of the other 2,to make it look "unbiased" and real.
    Young "Kate" is baffled and is just staring while doing screenshots as proof,she gets 1 crow on her head again. What does 1 of the 2 do when she spots "Kate"? The "Jane" of them (a female really smalltime streamer with barely any following,same info goes for the male being a "Mikaela") makes gestures to the killer then runs up to "Kate" and points at her,"ordering" the killer to kill her next.
    This was before the penalties came back up,so "Kate" decides to not stay behind. She leaves,and she also notices that the 2 streamers gets to escape,the Jane even gets hatch as an extra bonus.
    Now.... in the chat they decide to go in on "Kate" just because they didnt get to kill her. 2 self entitled assholes starts to make up lies about young "Kate",that she was useless,this that and the other (really hurtful stuff about what she should do,what she didnt deserve in life etc) That she did nothing ingame (again,she saved 1 of them from a hook with 2 of the others clearly so far away,that "Mikaela" would have potentially died on hook,if not for young "Kate". And healed "Mikaela" all the way back up. Then went on to do several other tactical actions,to be helpful for endgame as well as starting to work on gens.
    If the killer was on theyr side from the start or not,i can only speculate in. But theyr actions towards "Leon" really showed that they certainly became a trio that is way too unfair for the remaining 2 players. Also that they were allowed to escape afterwards is that typical sign of "working with the killer".
    So i got mad,i found them and i harshly lectured them both up in whispers on twitch,and told them to watch theyr effin mouths next time,talking to people younger then themselfs the next time.
    The guy shows no remorse whatsoever,and instead of apologizing,wich would have calmed me down and we could have sorted this in friendlier tones. Instead he tells me that he will continue to do toxic shit like this whenever he stumbles upon "useless people" (self entitlement,just who he decides for himself is "useless people"),that i should deal with it and STFU.
    Then he writes "now leave me alone,you are annoying!",and quickly blocks me before i could argument his rude,non argumentative statement to death,wich just tells me this is seriously immatured individuals. And apparently this guy is 25,but he behaves and arguments for himself like a rebellious 12 year old.
    I wrote the female as well,also informative things about how toxic and rude this friend of hers had exposed himself to me,when all he could have done was apologize and we would have sorted it like adults. Fearing that she would be of the same "breed" as he was,i simply just wrote her an information line of words,where i said i hoped that she was at least able to use her head more then this guy did,be more careful of spreading lies and go in on people like that for no reason. Because next time i would make it personal and take it further. I also said that they were exposed working with the killer in facecamping that poor Leon to death,that it was reported to the devs. So i would be careful lashing out on people for no reason for the future,not knowing how young,old they were or if they had any disfunction etc. You never know who you talk to on that other side,so dont be calling people useless when you know its not true. Then i revoked abilities to answer,this was just meant as a mindopener and a warning. Twitch was also notified on the actions and conversations happening in game from theese 2 streamers (they werent live when this happened),so they would understand the TOS breaking one of them did (in twitch whispers) when i tried to make them realize theyr own fuckups. He even admitted his actions and words used,as he willingly repeated them. So not really bright,wich i found amusing.
    Then he went on to tell me to go outside and touch some grass,stuff like that. A guy i would love giving a serious whooping when they are soo toxic and non remorseful,just awful personalities all the way trough. And the sad part is,DBD is full of them. And people wonder why im demotivated from playing DBD myself,with killers behaving like they do in EVERY match,plus theese self entitled asshole survivors that attacks you afterwards if your playstyle wasnt to theyr liking etc. DBD is soo bad right now in regards to its community,i just want bot matches with the ability to get progress and points. They can run it for half the amount that you get on the live servers,i would be fine with it. Because now i want to max out my characters,and then im laying the game to rest.
    DBD has had a okay run,but i think its time to move on. Unless there is a dev takeover,that brings back the joyful,thrilling times of DBD. I cant wait to see what Texas Chainsaw Massacre brings of gameplay,im soo ready to leave DBD if TCM is well enough thought through and developed!

    HEY I'm actually early! Can't wait to watch this. Edit: Wholesome my ass, A "wholesome" person is just someone who is as kind as possible. If you wanna be toxic just be toxic. It's better to be to toxic and know you are instead of being toxic and saying you are "wholesome" as a person who has anger issues and can get very verbal during arguments, don't lie about being toxic. It's just dumb, And as someone with those problems I still try to be nice. Good video mate.

    This guy is the embodiment of "toxic positivity" where he only wants to be surrounded by yes men who agree with everything he does as if he does no wrong. Unfortunately there's too many clowns like this in the DbD community and why I quit playing it. Getting TTVs to brigade with their community my steam profile with nothing but slurs and insults because of how I was playing is insane. Literally had to turn off my steam comments because of it.

    Idk why some people think tunneling means only chasing one person rather than them being hooked and only going for them

    i almost completely ignore people who click because they want a chase. it typically keeps them off gens since they just want to try and harrass me and on top of that the other teamates tend to be the weaker part of the team

    It's this attitude and mentality...why I stopped playing the game...i can only bring myself to play survivor during events. But shit I remember a day, I use to make friends as killer. I always let someone go. But 90 percent of survivors seem to have this mentality now. Even if I win. I lose.

    I know exactly who this is, I’m very surprised to see them behave this way. They are a very good survivor and I’m shocked they can’t read the room (the match) 1 gen left on the game map why not go for the injured survivor maybe get a down/have the team be altruistic and mess up. I know they uploaded a video talking about how killers are op with updates & in the video they play nurse for example vs baby survivors so I brought up how most survivors he played against were new/tried to kill themselves when they saw it was a nurse (common). I see what they’re saying that they are human and I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, I’ve never watched their streams but I’ve seen their RUclips videos for years and I assumed they wouldn’t complain the much since they seem to understand the game well.

    the fact that this streamer being covered in this video hasnt spelt "being" correct once in his posts amazes me while he got every other word right

    In the end this "wholesome" streamer is manipulating and using cult-creating tactics.
    You look to the leader for advice, fear everyone else snitching on you and question everyone elses perception.
    Over time you're not able to open up, you fear being outcasted bc it would take every contact you have.

    This guy has created a complete echo chamber, he straight up insulted a long time viewer in his comments on the video and the guy started trying to plead his case it was super gross, this guy does not want any criticism

    survivor: *clicks flashlight every three seconds*
    also survivor when they get the most chase: the killer tunnelled me
    edit: not him complaining about stealth killers doing stealth killer tactics lmao. hit and run tactics are the playstyle you WANT when playing a stealth killer, you can't brute force chase like other killers i don't know how many times i must say this, stealth killers operate best with hit and run and you're entitled if you think they should change the playstyle because you want to loop them or something
