Carter Deems has one of those impenetrable styles that’s almost unbeatable. The more you rap at him, the more it plays into his awkward persona that he can easily pepper in triple entendre bars. I would say his only Ls he’s ever had and it was really close was Bonnie Godiva and A Ward.
I didn't think Shuffle would be able to match Carters nonsense but he actually exceeded the limit with that 2nd round. also who edit this video? y would I buy PPV for this battle, while watching this battle?
Was it just a coincidence that these two were on the stage at the same time? After watching it all the way through I'm still not sure who they were meant to be battling. Shuffle's cat verse was the bomb though.
I just realized how similar Shuffle-T and Pat Stay are. It's almost identical when it comes to the humorous bars. If you imagine Pat Stay saying Shuffle-T's first round beginning, without the accent, it's practically the same person
Stuck up smack fans will be like "Ohh god this is so corny, we want barrz beeerz!!" Like seriously, let loose a bit and enjoy another style to battle rap and quit being so closed minded. As for this battle, Shuffle won for me. Carter Deems was a bit sloppy. He's better than this but hey, we all have our bad days. That's my feedback.
I think most people wanted to see people battling, shuffle spoke about an imaginary gun one round and the next about cats,it wasn't a battle it was a poem he wrote
+kylem1112 I've been watching battle rap for years but they're not even among shit at each other.they could have just recorded them separately,it's not a battle it's just two people taking turns to rhyme

Gun bars can carry a wealth of creativity just like the MCs whous. Honestly, the difference is negligible between styles if it's done with a quality touch. This battle just happened to be the least interesting in what was represented between both MCs.
I give first to Shuffle, that was funny af Second to Deems deffo, And the third I think was very close, but the crowd slept on Shuff a bit I very slightly edge the whole thing to Shuffle, sick battle
I don't know about one of the best ever rounds haha, but definitely misunderstood. I think I enjoyed the awkward silence in that room, and the reactions in these comments, as much as the round itself! Loved the cat angle, and loved how badly it went down.
Carter Deems won. He was EXTREMELY sloppy, but made up for it with his vast spread multi-syllable rhymes, and themes; when in comparison to Shuffle-T's. Carter's jokes landed harder as well. Shuffle-T gets way more points for staying on topic, but the topics were not enough.
Bars! hahhaa. Both them matchups could happen without the politics though. I just think Pass vs Pnut would be a cold ass lyrical mirror match, and Tony D vs Hollow Da Don would be a great literal mirror match and would still be a fire style clash. the arguable east coast usa goat vs the arguable london goat. Then I'll invest in Shotty vs Hollow Da Don. Ness Lee VS B. Magic would be the best clash of straight rap. The ultimate pen test of who got the better rhythm. Especially after E-Ness got a chance to fight em both. Now it's just one more match to set up for that hip-hop crown who is just THAT DUDE. Then Daylyt or Danny Myers vs Loaded Lux. I love Carter but he has to be careful using his same lines in multiple battles just because they are in different organizations. He should know his real fans watch all of his battles and will pick up on that shit. There was a few in this battle he has used before and then I've been noticing at least one every couple battles. Like this one when he says "got no roof, like a dog without vocal chords". There were more too...
The crowd wasn't feeling shuffle. Seems like he didn't know what to write for deems. He was good though, I liked his 3rd the best. Don't know wtf the point of shuffle t's 2nd round was. Carter didn't seemed phased lol was that shuffles way of getting personal? Carter had lots of dumb lines and a few clever ones. He slipped too many times so it killed his momentum. Kind of a lacklustre battle. Should rematch
