    The thing with the sound system is, how good it sounds is very subjective, albeit the quality and design of the speaker system does play a part. Personally, I think it sounds pretty good as stock. But what makes these better is when there is an equalizer, a tool designed to adjust the outputs of the system to the user's preference. It's too bad it's only a three band equalizer though, I would have loved to have a nine band equalizer to really fine tine my sound. But most people unfortunately don't understand equalizers past 'high,' 'mid,' and 'low.'
    Edit: I should also add that it is possible to use equalizers on the connected device when using Bluetooth or through Android Auto/Apple Carplay to give a far more vast amount of control over how it sounds. Plenty of good equalizer apps exist, and even built in features can be great tools, too.

    That is crazy about the turbo timer; 29 years ago my wife had the Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo. In the owner’s manual, meaning not myth, it said after driving the car for a long time to sit in the car at your destination, wait 15 minutes, then shut the car off. Imagine we just drove one and one half hours from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara, then we have to wait 15 minutes until we could turn off the car! We were told otherwise the turbocharger would seize because it melted; have always resisted turbochargers but then we had a loaded Malibu and loaded Optima both with 265 hp & 265 torque and after each long trip never knew if I was committing engine suicide after shutting the car off at end of a long trip. Here come EN to prove how important the truth was what the driver’s manual said 29 years ago but nothing about this in the Malibu or Optima manual.

    • @n-power-automotive
      @n-power-automotive  Год назад

      Yes, it’s a pretty fantastic feature. I was a little incorrect in calling it a turbo timer though. What it does is circulate coolant through the turbo for a minute or two after shutting the engine off, not leave the engine running and shut it off after a period of time, so it’s slightly different techniques, but pretty much the same results.

    I wouldn't call that a "Turbo Timer"
    This feature is common a lot of euro turbocharged cars. For example on my Porsche 944 turbo, it has this feature. You then the car off, and you can hear the AUX waterpump pushing water though the turbo to cool it down. If the coolant is at temp, the fans stay on to cool the rad down till it's happy. If it's hotter, the fans run at speed to quickly cool the rad down.
    Im waiting for mt Elantra N to arrive but when i test drove it, i noticed the rad fans stayed on after a pretty normal drive.

    • @n-power-automotive
      @n-power-automotive  Год назад

      Yes, though not a true turbo timer, it’s an auxiliary coolant pump that keeps the coolant flowing through the turbo after you shut the car off to help prevent caking. It does do it most of the time, even if you’re not hard on the car, which I’m ok with. Anything to prolong the longevity of the engine/turbo I’m happy with.
