I am from the south of Russia, Krasnodar, Western Caucasus. It's amazing how many are similar. Here, too, the culture of the Cossacks, natural horsemen, has practically died out, there are practically no horses and cows left, everything has been plowed up for corn and wheat or given over to tourism. There is also a national park with a population of bison, this is the European bison. When watching this series, the thought often arises that there are no two more similar peoples than Russian and American, although it's hard to believe, but it's true. And it is a pity that someone constantly needs to make enemies out of us.

My experience growing up on my dad's cattle ranch is that ranching is a day to day quiet desperation. It only ends when you quit and sell out. Then you miss it for the rest of your life.

    • @BostonsF1nest
      @BostonsF1nest Год назад +1

Exactly. Ranching isn’t a job. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a way of life. When you give up on that you lose your purpose in life. The purpose of life is to not be rich and sitting on a beach somewhere. It’s to find meaning in the daily struggle, to overcome, to achieve, and to move forward knowing if you battled thru adversity yesterday you can do it again better today and the next day.

That is in any farmers life really. Not just lifestock owners.
A small farms live from hand to hand, and they bet all their wealth on every year or two for economy, weather and just random stuff.
They need to know almost everything from the stock markets to science in agriculture and livestock, to mechanics and today even for ICT.
The city people have it all easy. They don't even know how simple and easy life they have. But city people don't have a soul, they don't have a principles, they don't have value of life and the environment. And that is one of those world major F up situations where some teens and young in their 20's think that they can make any demands for "environment's sake".
Have farmers done mistakes in their lifes? Yes, when science has betrayed them with their greed from big corporations. Selling stuff, changing legislation to sell their products forcely that has been harmful, or that is required so you don't lose your farm and family that way. Those are the enemies, greed by people who just want money and power. People who live in cities and who live in luxurius fancy fantasies, never required to even hold a shovel in their hands and plant a seed to create a life so they can eat.
Are there some crook farmers? Yes, basically because they have been stupid. Like dumping something to lakes, land etc where it doesn't belong. But that is a clear minority, but it affects large parts when toxin or trash gets mixed with water etc. Sure you don't see a city person pouring a high chemical in a drinking water supply, but it is because they don't have access or means - not because they would be any smarter. City people are happy to throw trash out from car windows like nothing. You don't see farmers doing that.
There is not just much to do when polarity is high between city people, who doesn't understand the farmers even if they pretend to be yelling behalf of the world well being...

    • @paristo
      @paristo 4 месяца назад

How can someone say that the season was slow? Other than the fifth season didn't end and got delayed.
The idea in this show is to show characters and build on them, have the tensions building for the background.
If someone want to see a slow season, look no further than example Battlestar Galactica after second season, as 3rd and 4th were painful politics, that Yellowstone show manages to get around nicely.
Very rare show can survive past 4-5 seasons with a good stories. Most shows shouldn't be written longer than 2 seasons. There shouldn't be nothing wrong to end the show to 2 seasons by writing it shorter, as good show is always a good show, and it doesn't need continuity if it is well ended.
There are some shows that can take multiple ones easily, like example Dexter had great 4 seasons, and while it did go down after that, with some bad characters, it maintained itself to end in good stance. Yet, it was revived and they killed everything good in the show.
Yellowstone has a good change if they can pull the 5th and 6th season up, to get to do the 7th and maybe 8th. But they really need to steer away from the social feelings in small details they are heading. As no one wants to see a great show to turn a another Bold and Beautiful with 37 seasons.
There is lot of opportunities in the show, and they have made some mistakes, but they have managed to keep the show at their quality.
To have a great peak moments, you need to have valleys...

16 episodes slated for this season?? I've no doubt that this will then be the final season. No doubt those extra episodes will be needed in order to bring everything to its full circle conclusion. And you can't believe any actor that tells you such things as a show not coming to its end or a beloved character not being killed off, etc. They're bound by contractual agreements to keep quiet about such.
On a side note, it's "interesting" how shows have cut their seasonal episodes down so much. I remember when shows had anywhere from 13 to 22 episodes per season. Now the norm is 6 to 10.

Loved this episode. That scene with Beth and Monica was great. Would like to see Beth interact more with Casey, her baby brother. Also good to see Tate and Carter finally interact as well. I love that they're both wearing casts and still cowboying. I only wish Jamie didn't have to be the one to sell his Dad out. Was hoping Jamie would prove himself to John, while also showing how wrong Beth was about him as a person. You have all of these potential antagonist on the show and it's gotta be his son, who he and his wife adopted and raised as their own. That hurts.

You're right that Beth has everyone twisted up about the kind of man Jamie is. Jamie's not the bad guy here. Jamie didn't want to be a lawyer any more than John wanted to be governor.
There was a time where Jamie looked up to his Dad. He didn't just love him, he thought the world of him. Wanted to be him. He only went to Harvard because his Dad made him and now he hates him for it seemingly. John's mistreated, cursed, threatened, obstructed, and even hit Jamie at one point despite his years of loyalty. After all that, the question shouldn't be "why would he turn on his own Dad". It's "why wouldn't he?"

🌲That scene with Beth and Monica can bring any woman who has suffered an earIy Ioss of a chiId down to their knees into the depths of irreconciIabIe tears, as it does for me every time I watch this. There is a very speciaI bond no other can have with that chiId, no matter what. The potentiaI one year of having haIf the Dutton ranch in another state tending cattIe wiII be a stressor. WouIdn't this be a time for our Iast season's Cowboy, Jimmy, who "graduated Cowboy SchooI" at the 6666's Ranch be a proper hand to heIp manage the Dutton cattIe there in Texas? Oh, and since Market Equities ran the Bison herd Iast season in those Dutton pastures, shouId they not be financiaIIy IiabIe for the Iosses incurred with John Dutton's herds? Remember Iast season whiIe in great despair, John "found a way" to save the ranch, maybe that is the answer!
🎄Sure wished there was more about Rainwater's situation and having him and John meet up. Things are heating up that wiII adverseIy affect the PeopIe at the Reservation, Montana, and the Dutton Ranch with the pending chaos of Market Equities sabotage, pipeIine, Jamie Dutton chaIIenging John for the Governor's Office, and potentiaI herd Iosses that couId spread, get worse, AND MORE!
🌲The Fair had a good mix of things happening that made it reaI interesting. The boys target shooting made me wonder IF Tate might have a friend to hang out with, have some adventures, Iike my son did with his buddies. Then Tater at the toss for that big pink bear was a riot! The romance dramas going on was perfect, short, to the point, not overdone. I Iiked John's hat hiding the kiss, now that's reaI Cowboy, the things that tug at a girI's heart!
🎄FinaIIy, just when Jamie Dutton couId re-prove his worthiness and move into the Governorship AFTER JOHN if he waited, now hooks up with a major PIatinum Corporate CaII GirI and Minx, Sarah. Jamie Dutton is the worId's biggest sucker when it comes to women and reaIIy BAD decisions. Was he THIS dysfunctionaI as a chiId and young man? His insecurities are off the charts! If I couId ask the writers for a Christmas present, it wouId be to make Ionger seasons of YeIIowstone, because the Iong months of WAITING for more is just TOO Iong! 🎄🌲🎄Happy HoIidays! I wonder if it hurts KC to make his voice so gritty?
Also I hate how this season is almost over and yet there has been near no progression with the story.
-What became of the rangers discovering dead wolves shenanigans on the Dutton ranch? Nothing
-What other acts besides stopping the airport funding does John, now governor, do to save Montana? Nothing
-How does Summer now being the environmental advisor to the governor help or benefit the Duttons in to keeping their land? Nothing has come of it.
-How are John and Rainwater going to work together to stop the development outsiders are trying to bring to their ranch/land/reservation? Don’t know since John hasn’t actually gone to the reservation to show face and hear Rainwater’s concerns. He seems to have turned his back on them once he became governor.
I love this show but it cannot keep dragging out the story progression and still expect the quality to not to degrade. We all know what happens to shows that seem to go on forever without any sight in end.

Taylor Sheridan’s writing has been lazy this season. Season 5 is retreading character arcs during previous seasons. Jamie and Sarah’s story of removing John from political power. It is the same as Jamie and Christina from Season 1. Ryan and Abby relationship of you have to choose between riding south to do your job or disobeying his boss to stay with Abby is the same as Jimmy and Mia in Season 4. Hopefully Summer will leave the show because all of her scenes drag the momentum of the show.

Yellowstone is alot slower now, this is just a build up to the final season I guess? Idk, just not as good as previous seasons.

Yes, he has far surpassed GRRM, thank goodness. Abject obesity and narcissistic personality disorder lost, and general good and healthy lifestyle with a connection to the natural world... all tied up in the Western US and the cutting horse universe, well it is heaven on screen and in life.

I haven't watched the other shows Taylor made but I know he was in SOA and this last episode when they woke up and went out to do cowboys shit while the music playing it gave me SOA action scene vibes.

As this storyline goes, borderline, pathological , addicted Beth is void of feelings . She seems to be taking down this series…..Beth is the very iceberg to this Titanic…….A great voyage………………
As for the FUCKING BAR…..a bit much…..Too many PHOQUES…..however Teeter is a great character…..
    Stay tuned……😊
