Beth was about 17 got pregnant. Her quasi brother Jamie took her out of town for an abortion. When she was knocked out for surgery Jamie’s told them to perform a hysterectomy on her and they did. Beth can never have children. She’s holding a powerful grudge.

It boils down that in her messed up thinking she’s arranging things to take care of those she loves
Rewatching it and definitely despise Beth the most. John is second. They are both toxic and Jamie is 100% correct that John is the ranch's greatest enemy. Totally hated Beth when she threatened the life of Jamie's son. No reason a woman should go decades of hating her brother for something that she started herself. She was the one sleeping around with all the cowboys, got knocked up by Rip, pleaded to Jamie to help her reverse the pregnancy, and now blaming Jamie for cutting the baby out of her womb, something she wanted. She told Monica that she was crazy even before the abortion and sterilization so Beth has always been deranged and psychotic, maybe because of accidentally killing her mom. I hope if there's a second part to season 5, that Beth gets her comeuppance.
