It is almost magical in your hands. This Fleetwood Mac tune shows the guitar off quite nicely ! I even see the Sun ! Your pick and fingers are just lovely here ! Thank you !
@AngelaPetrilliMusic - they KNEW you were coming, 40 years ago, at Martin's, so they made sure today, you could play for us and for you, and you did so so well 👍
Angela, I can’t believe how much you resemble Rays wife from Everybody Loves Raymond!!!! That’s a compliment by the way. And you can obviously rock too. Unbelievable. God Bless you girl,
Dick Boak from Martin had one or the like. I worked at Martin when they came out. I can confirm they were made as I have a nos neck for one. It was made from the Martin Tiple body. Wish I could find one #1 and #2 could afford one.
@edsautter51 I'm pretty sure you meant to say it's made from the "Tiple" body, not Triple. But, it's closer to the "Terz" size 5- style, even thou it's called a 1/4 size.
Yes I corrected my spell check. I made a 1/4 size while there and sold it. I made mine from the Tiple body shape. I can't speak on the terz body size as I don't have the specs on it.
Not a lot of little guitars live up to hype because of the small body size. But that guitar sounds warm and beautiful. Intonation is a bit of an issue. But I am thinking it's a perfect candidate for a compensated nut and bridge and it would sound incredible? Compensated nuts are a fairly new concept or mod. But it can take a guitar to the next level. As a builder that is my winter project to learn how to make compensated nuts. Just one of those things, you want to be the best we have to take advancement in the art of building guitars seriously to be relativent and viable and cutting edge.
Usually, a guitar is tuned down for better resonance. Not the same here. And, Angela waxing rhapsodic over it is almost better than how well she pl8it. That's saying something. I'd love to hear her play "Heart of the Night" by Juice Newton on that model.
I give, what's the first song she played? I see Stevie Nicks mentioned in the comments, but I thought Angela was playing a slowed-down version of "Call Me. "
There’s a wall of mandolins, banjos and ukes in the shop you can sometimes see when Norm and the crew are showing off a bunch of guitars Norm bought from somewhere.
Was it Google AI, or just coincidence, I don't know. Earlier today I saw a video with Jethro Tull, who was playing this guitar, or one just like it on video. The odds of that happening with such a rare bird as this has to be astronomical. It sounded as good in your hands as it did in his. Now, I want one, but will have to settle with keeping my Waterloo 12 fret parlor, which is also a fairly unique guitar itself....
@ekalbkr Actually, Ian Anderson plays a "Terz-Style" Martin, they are numbered 5, as in 5-18, 5-21 and 5-28. Marty Robbins (Streets Of Loredo) also was famous for his Terz-Style Martin.
@clydeortego8332 They are like the "Terz-Style" Martins that are tuned a Minor 3rd, or 3 Frets above Standard Pitch Tuning from G to g, but you still play all Standard position chords.
@jimmycolletteo209 That little Martin is the size of what they call a "Terz Guitar", similar to the 5-18 , 5-21 and 5-28, the kind of little Martin that Marty Robbins "Streets Of Loredo" made famous. The reason it has "Sloped Shoulders" is because the neck is 12-Frets to the Body and the Bridge is placed in the "sweet spot", further back from the Soundhole. They are usually tuned a Minor 3rd, or 3 Frets above Standard Pitch Tuning or from G to g.
@scottwest9443 No, it's not tuned like a Mandola, that has 8 strings, with 4 sets of 2 pairs. This is a 6-string like a Terz-Style that is tuned a Minor 3rd or 3 Frets above Standard Pitch Tuning from G to g.
It is almost magical in your hands. This Fleetwood Mac tune shows the guitar off quite nicely ! I even see the Sun ! Your pick and fingers are just lovely here ! Thank you !
Wow give me goosebumps never expected that sound from this little guitar
Angela is the bright and beautiful sunshine. Thank you.
Roy in Knoxville Tennessee
I cannot stop loving my lovely Best friend Angela talking about the 1983 Martin 1/4 28 it’s like a guitalele
I kinda chuckled when I first saw the little guitar... but then I smiled with approval when Ang started playing. Very nice.
Wow. I was not expecting such a big sound out of such tiny little instrument. Great demo Angela!
Angela you made a believer out of me, what a beautiful instrument. Wow you made that little 28 sing 🎶 ❤🎸🎸🎸☮️
I really dig parlor guitars, or in this case, broom closet guitars.
Oh wow, that was so good! Thank you Angela & Jen.
Seeing this Angel playing guitar makes me feel happy as if she was my daughter!
Wasn't expecting that! Big full sound under Your accomplished hands, Love It!!!🌺✌❤🤗
It's so cute and sounds so nice! I loved it!
It's a awesome guitar when the guitar forces you to feel the music you're playing as you just showed.
Man, that was so surprising. Angela you are awesome.
I love the variety! Nice playing as always.
Only 14 made ! I have one in my Martin Guitars collection
Angela is just superb 🎸🎸🎸
George Harrison loved his ukes..... I'm sure he would've loved this littley too. Angela made the sun come out playing it. 🌞
At one time in the 90s, I owned a Martin 528. It had an amazing sound. It was a 5/8 size D 28. Had a 23 inch scale length.
@AngelaPetrilliMusic - they KNEW you were coming, 40 years ago, at Martin's, so they made sure today, you could play for us and for you, and you did so so well 👍
I wish they remake this guitar! I would buy one straight away!
It's so adorable!
You played it amazingly. I got tickets to see you at the Mint on 12.9.23.
Class playing, what a beltin little guitar!
That's all the wood they had left at the end of the day and still made a whole guitar with it .
I admire that.
Angie can play anything! Love the post..
Beautiful, folky sound, there.
amazing guitar and its player too
Amazing little guitar and a great little player.
Beautiful little thing!
Sounded much better finger picked but I would not have expected that quality of tone to come out of that little guitar.
I love it , the headstock is almost the size of the body
Nicely done ladies, thanks 😃👍
never saw this either . wow
Thank you for this great video!!!!!!
Great sound.🎸👍 Must be a Martín.
Wow totally awesome
Awesome Angela!
Always wanted a old Martin 5-18. They made 5-17’s and a few 5-21’s and 5-28. This is a tiny box. Pretty much Baritone Uke’ with 6 strings.
Good stuff
Always a great demo girl!!
that guitar sounds amazing
Ooo a Martini 😍
Here comes the sun
Great playing!
Great playing, Angela! The guitar might be small, but it sounds amazing.
Yes yes it’s a …Martini! ah ha ha ha ha ha oh boy whooo, loved it… Mar😂🎉❤(tini)!!! Ah,hah, hah

I think Angela might need the Nicest Human award 2023

Love it , What is the asking price?
Sing BABY
I want it
Great guitar for those songs that need a lot of capo!
There are guitars designed to play like you’ve got a capo on the 5th fret, so it’s tuned A to A.
Just use it to play Van Halen’s “Little Guitars” with Lemmo!
Angela Petrilli 😊
I like your ring
♥
It's like a guitalele 😂
Quarter size & with steel string, way better than Guitalele (original as Nylon), right?
It's a guitalady... ❤
It´s a cute little fun guitar but i found one on reverb for 11 k .... nah i´d rather buy a D 45 for the Money :D
Looks like a Tiple (T28) body.
That’s for Mini Me. Yeh baby.
Usually, a guitar is tuned down for better resonance. Not the same here. And, Angela waxing rhapsodic over it is almost better than how well she pl8it. That's saying something.
I'd love to hear her play "Heart of the Night" by Juice Newton on that model.
It's a 1/4 Scale Guitar Hunny
Would a 1/4 scale D-28 not be an A-28?
Me on a different color of the same guitar, can't strum a G chord...
Angela oh I've never touched a 1/4 size guitar... Proceeds to jam out 😂❤️
Sounds like a Martin, for sure.
How does it compare to a Terz?
I give, what's the first song she played? I see Stevie Nicks mentioned in the comments, but I thought Angela was playing a slowed-down version of "Call Me. "
Rhiannon!
@@davidkieltyka9 thanks!
I didn’t know Norm sold Ukuleles
There’s a wall of mandolins, banjos and ukes in the shop you can sometimes see when Norm and the crew are showing off a bunch of guitars Norm bought from somewhere.
👍🤗😎

@@timmcgurl Thanks for the clarification!
Aw crap. Now I have to have one.
How much
How much is this?
Did Marty Robbins Play this?
@billcovert3473
No, Marty Robbins played a Terz style Martin, a 5-18. They are tuned a Minor 3rd, or 3 Frets above Standard Pitch Tuning from G to g.
about the size I coulda used when I was six...
Is it tuned to standard tuning?
@clydeortego8332
They are like the "Terz-Style" Martins that are tuned a Minor 3rd, or 3 Frets above Standard Pitch Tuning from G to g, but you still play all Standard position chords.
What’s cuter than Angela with a tiny guitar? Answer - nothing
Intonation seems off…Father Time and wood shrinks and shifting occurs…but it is cute as hell otherwise…and the projection is amazing.
Think it was meant as a travel guitar
But it has sloped shoulders. Sounds like a ukulele. You played it wonderfully.
@jimmycolletteo209

@@timmcgurl Thank for the info.
I play a little guitar myself. Lol
Angela, you are really cute ❤
see???? Little is good! hahaha
Hello Kitty ummmmm,you deceive us😊
Doesn’t keep tune very well, does it?
Same scale as a Mandola
@scottwest9443
No, it's not tuned like a Mandola, that has 8 strings, with 4 sets of 2 pairs.
