The kind of music you hear at the end of a movie, when all the good characters have just defeated the antagonist. Not many words are said, but there's just this feeling in the air that things will be better from there on out.
What I learn is that you don't need vocals. Music is sufficient in itself.

I absolutely love listening to this genre because it helps me reflect from time to time on how amazing life truly is and how grateful I am to have certain benefits that I do. My family tends to think that I am ungrateful sometimes but I suppose that I'm just not great at expressing how I truly feel about the things that I have. These past two years I've changed incredibly and I still have a long ride ahead.. as a 17-year-old female with a wonderful healthy family and big dreams.. I'm so grateful for that and all of this. It's just an awe of inspiration to make us think about our place in the universe. Who are we as humans? Regardless of creed or religious views, we all believe in one thing: our purpose in not meaningless.
What good are we capable of? Technology? Science? Philosophy? Medicine? Extraterrestrial exploration? Humanitarianism? Discovery? Arts? Music? Education? Acceptance? Compassion? Love? Open mindedness? Truthfulness?
What bad are we capable of? War? Weapons? Politics? The media? Terrorism? Climate change? Destroying our environment? Greed? Ignorance? Arrogance? Arguing? Envy? Wrath? Close mindedness? Bigotry? Deception? Murder? Theft?
I believe our world is mostly good. All of the bad things appear more apparent because people focus on the bad more than the good. Always find the good in our world and help be part of that good. It may be more difficult to be nice towards someone but it's very well worth the effort.
If you're listening to this song, it's likely you're a very good person that likes to get away from the bad in our world for a moment and just soak themselves in peaceful music. Don't let the bad in our world discourage you from being a good person.

It is without hyperbole that I claim "Contact" to be my favourite movie of all time. Hearing that piece of dialogue in the music made for a very wonderful and surreal experience.
The speech wasn't recited verbatim, however. The alien says (with emphasis on corrected dialogue): "...You feel so lost, so cut-off, so alone. ONLY YOU'RE NOT. In all our searching, the only thing that makes the emptiness bearable is each other." The omitted piece was incredibly reassuring as it was said with certainty. Almost factually. Which was fine for the movie, I suppose. The omission then would have been a deliberate move to make this musical piece feel ambiguous, if slightly.
