Last Sunday my best friend's mom texted me that he has stopped responding and can no longer recognize the people around him. He's been battling cancer for a year and a half now.
I had countless calls and messages from friends crying and supporting each other. Most of us including myself were angry that he refused to take visitors even though he was well enough to between chemo sessions. He wanted us to remember him as he was before all this happened.
On Wednesday, 10th October at about 10.10am Darryl passed away. I couldn't go to work; I took a different turn to a quiet place on a hill and blasted this song in my car.
Darryl I hope you're somewhere in the Ether looking down on how many people truly loved and cared for you. So many friends from our primary and high school, college and university showed up at your wake and funeral. Some even flew in from Melbourne and Kuching to see you. I hope that you have found peace in death. You will be missed, and you will be remembered. You're my best friend.

Tonight was the night that I had had enough. I said 'goodbye' to the friends and family members still by my side. I had been listening to dark, depressing music for a while, now. It was a relief, hearing from people, who were experiencing the same emotions that I had been enduring. I took a brave step tonight, and re-entered the world of chillstep, that I had been lost in, for over two years. It was too heavy to even listen to a genre, that used to make me SO happy -- realizing that I, now, was far from it. I pulled up RUclips, and, accidentally, clicked on this song. I've never heard it before. This changed my life, not the song, but your comments. Everyone is incredibly open-minded, loving, and inspirational. You guys granted me the peace, that I've been searching for, while I'm still alive. Thank you. Thank you, all of you.

My Son came to live with me at only 3 years of age .One day last year, My Son woke up and said to me, Dad " Do you remember fixing me when I was broken, Your such a Great Mechanic Dad". I got down on my knees and said ," Your were never broken, My Love" and gave him a huge hug. Three years of therapy and with no mom in his life and my Wonderful Son beat the odds and now talks , thinks on his own and has been mainstreamed in regular classes . My Son has taught me patience and what it means to be a Real Father.

Oswell Music This song and your quote is awakening me right now. I'm literally living it. I've been unemployed 2 years, girlfriend cheated on me and I can't seem to catch a break. I thought I hit rock bottom already but I guess the universe/god wasn't done with me because last Saturday was the single worst moment of my life. I was car jacked in a parking lot and in the process of fighting the guy for my car I got pulled under the vehicle and had my legs run over. This one fucking moment when I have an interview this week to start my life fresh and my legs don't work anymore. Doctors say it's 6 weeks out of the cast for my left leg and 3 months for my right femur. Somehow I should be in grief over how shit has hit the fan, but I'm just realizing now all I've got to be grateful for. The doctors who operated on me, nurses, PT, real friends and my mom gave me a real appreciation of how lucky I am. I could have died last week if the kid decided to drive forward after he reversed over me. It's a shitty way to go because I don't think I left this world or anyone I know in a better place if I did go. This one moment is making me reflect hard about being somebody, I don't know how or what but I'm going to that interview Wednesday in a wheelchair. Time to take responsibility for my own life and take care of the ones who saved mine. Random rant in a comment section of RUclips but your quote hit home for me man. Thank you.

I am intent on taking my own life, but I find it freeing, in a way. there is so much vastness beyond this fleeting reality which I crave. Life has been pretty tough for me lately, as it can be for most people. But i try each and every day to stay as positive as i possibly can. I try my best to keep a smile on my face and pretend to be happy, for my family and everyone around me, but depression really kicks my ass. This was literally what I was thinking. People think it is impossible but we can make a better solution, we've just been conditioned to think money is the only way. I know we can all work to do something better if we just all sat down and come up with an alternative to money. There has to be a better way.
I don't think an alternative to money is needed, if all human beings started getting in touch with themselves walking in the nature, meditating or any other activity that makes we silent, then no one would endure watching the scarcity of water and food in Africa, or in every other place in the world, then companies would donate a portion of their money to help people in need and animals wouldn't be treated like they're treated today.
No friend, a life without religion will be best. I know it sounds satire, but just imagine. Without religion there would be no wars, no drive for money, no separation between race and genders, we could have cured diseases you may not have even heard of, we may be not be surfing the waves of the ocean, but the waves of star dust through outer space. Just imagine.

Stargazing at night because it is the moment to release all that negative energy and thoughts. But as for me i get a voice in my head “tomorrow is a new day” and I smile at the new path (good or bad) that is coming for me. My message to all of you that are struggling and losing hope, Don’t give up. God is with you.

I always used to wonder what the purpose of life was. I grew up lonely and sad. Unloved and unwanted by my mother. She told me I was a mistake. I felt no love and rejected.
At 18 years old, I got a job, met my wife, got a better job, had children, got an even better job (Airline Captain).
I was happy but still there was something missing. Then my dad passed away, I was very sad. A year later my best friend dropped dead - I thought “what is this all about?”.
Then I started thinking about my purpose in life again and what’s life all about. I thought what happens when we die? Is there an afterlife? I thought “how can I just die and stop existing?” That didn’t make sense to me. Slowly slowly I started realising that I wasn’t a mistake and that there was a God. Without even realising I was looking for Him, I found Him and I now know that He is real and loved me before the foundation of the earth. His name is Jesus and I know Him. He forgave me for all the countless sins I committed against Him. God is my true father and He has a purpose and a plan for everybody- that includes you too. You are very special and not a mistake. Jeremiah 29:13 says You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Might I add that he suffered and died for our sins. He was resurrected 3 days later and lives in flesh and bones to this day. He will come again. I bear you my testimony that I know it’s true.
