China generated more electricity from non-fossil source than from fossil source for the first time last year (2023). In 2020, President Xi Jinping announced at a UN General Assembly that China will aim to hit peak CO2 emissions before 2030 and for carbon neutrality by 2060.

There is no environmental protection party or environmental protection organization in China, but China has policies and people who are serious about environmental protection.
If a problem pops up the tech team can remotely disconnect the generator from the grid, stop the turbine from spinning by feathering the blades and applying the brake. A maintenance team can then be alerted to the problem and with a log of the fault recorded by the instrumentation execute repair or maintenance on the turbine assembly to make it functional again.
@@bobsmith3983 So it is not like the US. Oh, it is x amount of years, we do this and that. If it breaks, we will shut it down and wait for the repair crew to decide what to do with it. You should see the windmill blade landfill. Doesn't seem like wind power is a green source.
Wind energy, like solar, is only as good as the reliable energy source that backs it up. Human energy use is fairly constant, with some bumps. Wind energy is intermittent. Onshore wind has capacity factor of ~30%. Solar is worse Wind and Solar are feasible in China because it has high hydropower resources to back it up. It's a disaster in the UK where we don't and we need Gas turbines to sit idle, waiting to back up unreliable wind. Even in China, where they have hydro, hydro backup requires over-building hydro turbines so you turn many on and then turn many off sitting idle while wind has power instead of running a few nonstop. Additionally this means you run the hydro in a way to backup wind, not the best way to regulate water flow for the environment. I think that China will benefit from deploying wind power while they still have hydro capacity for backup and while they develop their nuclear industry, but the future is nuclear power, not wind.
Wind energy sites are based on the areas with the most consistent winds. The selection of the site is critical for uptime and I'm sure the Chinese have chosen wisely unlike the Brits. Unfortunately for Britain it is a small island and there are limited sites where consistent winds are few and far in between.
@@whatswhite110 Hydropower is not garbage power. If not backing up wind/solar it can be good quality baseload energy as long as you have reservoir with buffering capacity. Wind/Solar --> Hydrogen --> Electricity isn't great. Still has transmission issues, high costs, and inefficient conversion as all chemical processes like to be run at steady state. It's still good for China for energy sovereignty. In a war even expensive domestic energy is important energy. Nuclear is much better but renewables can be deployed faster. So that can be a factor in China's deployment of this bad energy.
@@bobsmith3983 We have good sites for wind power. But onshore wind power typically has capacity factor 30% sometimes 35%. You can only make higher capacity factor if you build your windmills with extra capacity, bigger blades, bigger power electronics. Then you can get 50% capacity factor but with much more expensive windmills so expensive energy. Still have intermittency issues. Without hydro backup power it ends up being very expensive. But it does give China sovereign energy. And that's a win in this political climate.
Has India got a high speed rail network, has India got a space station, HiSense is producing better TV sets, China has multiple brands of cellular phones, China exports more cars worldwide.....

光电和风电和水电称为垃圾电,电能转化成氢能,然后再转回电能,现在这套方案使用比较多。
Lee, you have really great content in your videos. The title should be India is years ahead of the world. India has better technology than China.
Has India got a high speed rail network, has India got a space station, HiSense is producing better TV sets, China has multiple brands of cellular phones, China exports more cars worldwide.....
@@xyyyyx3247 India can never catch up as their mentality is not progressive like the East Asians especially the Chinese.
Thats not true at all. India is 60 years ahead of China
(你說得對)
You are dreaming
Yes,you are right!

大理下关算是一个风口,做这个不错。

so is Wakanda
