When people say that China's losing money on its transit systems/not making profits, but seeing that regular bus service to a tiny village tells a different story. Is that bus route making money? probably not, but it brings people and goods to other cities and towns, which helps those other local economies. They try to play down China, 'wet market', give it a feel like dirty, primitive, and low. but in fact, Fresh Market is exact and appropriate. Fresh meat, fish, vegetables, and fruits taste much better.

But I thought the western msm kept saying that China is running out of food?

China is the world's largest producer of pork. And with that, comes a huge production capacity of soybeans to feed them. Syngenta is one of the largest agricultural biotechnology companies, making GMO seeds and herbicides with many operations in USA and headquarters Europe. Syngenta was formed by the merger of Novartis and AstraZeneca crop division, and is now owned by China National Chemical Corp., a Chinese state company. Many US farmers use Syngenta agricultural inputs to produce what is in your shopping cart.
