    I recently took delivery of an LX2610. The first thing I did once they got if off the trailer was to fold the ROPS so I wouldn't forget and tear my garage door frame out. The first thing I did once my ass was in the seat was raise the 3 point so the rear blade could clear the dip at the end of my driveway. I suppose it doesn't speak very well of me, but somehow I feel better about myself when I see that Neil Messick's own LX3310 has the same bent top link that I had less than two minutes into my tractor ownership! Lesson learned!

    I have an L4200 and had my Kubota dealer install this when I purchased the tractor used last year. The tractor stays on my woodlot about an hour from my house and trying to install this while on a dirt driveway and swatting mosquitos and horse flys didn't seem like a fun project. Was well worth the price.

    I'm getting ready to install the exact same valve on my B2650, and so I've watched several installation videos on the subject. Yours is the best I've seen so far. I'm not sure if it is because I've already seen all the others, or because you covered the installation from a different approach, but I found your video to be very helpful for what I'm about to do. Thanks

    I put one on my Kubota with a backhoe everything was pretty easy except for where to hook up the hydraulic lines I ended up taking it to Messicks/Halifax and the mechanic hooked it up but even he was scratching his head a little but he got me fixed up. I have a grapple for the loader and I also use the 3rd function for the backhoe I converted the thumb to hydraulic works great 👍

      that's actually easier. the backhoe should already be plumbed at the "power beyond" port with two hoses going to the rear of the tractor, one is pressure to the backhoe, one is return back to the tractor. follow the hoses back and (on my MX4800) is an aluminum block just under the r/h side of the loader. undo just the hose that is pressure "out" to the backhoe"- the pressure "in" side of the 3rd function valve hooks in to there, the "return to tank" side of the 3rd function valve hooks to the backhoe "pressure in" hose that you removed in the first step.... and if i remember right the pressure side of the backhoe hoses is the one with the male side of quick connector.
      hopefully this helps

  • @jbcowherder6210
    @jbcowherder6210 4 года назад +1

    FWIW: i put a dash mounted switch to control power to my third function switch and a red power indicator light. i only turn it on when i have something attached to the front loader that requires hydraulic power like my grapple. this way i don't accidentally actuate pressure to the front when i don't have a need to. this saves on accidental pressure spikes when operating the loader

      you might put a pressure gauge on the return port of the valve to see if something is causing pressure on that side. next i would move that pressure gauge to one of the grapple hoses and try again, unhook your grapple and from the quick connects and hook in your pressure gauge to one side of the quick connects, start the tractor and pressurize the hose with the gauge, when you let off it should hold pressure- if it bleeds off right away you might have a bad 3rd function valve.... maybe (more than likely) you have a hydraulic cylinder bypassing? the other way to tell is to take one of the hoses off your grapple (undo it from the quick connect on the tractor and remove the quick connect on the grapple side) and direct it into a bucket, then pressurize the other side and see if the fluid keeps bleeding off. pressure gauge should be able to handle 5000 psi.

      @@MessicksEquip Thanks Neil, spoke to Nate the other day. Very informative conversation and outstanding customer service. I'm gonna go with a Land Pride 380-152A kit to get the two button control versus Wr Long's rocker style switch. I may need to have one hose made up to make it work or maybe not. Still figuring that part out. Hopefully I can use the kit in it's entirety and make it work. Also like how your website states the quantity of the various kits you have in stock. That's awesome.

      Yo Neal I installed that 380-152A kit on my B7800. Had to tweak the mounting bracket and add two fittings. Bought a Worksaver 48” grapple, had two hoses made up for it and now everything is working well.

    Do you have a 3rd function kit to fit a 7260 Cub cadet and what would the cost be? I want to get a grapple for my loader.

      The new LX model has a 33 HP, but not released yet. While there are many happy owners of B3350s, the reality is it's quite a way short of 100% happy. The warranty work was killing Kubota I think, and some of their dealers too. They're available second hand if you particularly want one, but most people would tell you to wait for the new model.

    What you are saying that is if you are planning on getting a grapple or something else you should maybe when you get the tractor you should have it put on when you get the tractor.
