  • This very short video shows water music at the dock. Some good views of our new hull and cabin window installations as well as the new hatches in the front of the hulls. I have also included some shots of how I use the chart plotter on a swivel arm. No sailing sequences.

Wow Mike. I watch and watch again and each time I see new details of Water Music. I so admire your craftsmanship and the way you have set up your boat. I took 2 weeks off to work on building my Gypsy and am still struggling to get the bottom V section on the bow. There's so much work to do. Your videos help me to not give up.

Hi Brian, I do like your comments - thanks. I remember that the V sections were difficult because I made my panels so stiff. I think I ended up making a thick plywood former inside the hulls and screwing the panels to the former till they were roughly glassed in shape. I did not get a good shape at first and had to do a lot more glassing and filling. After that, when the hulls were turned, every bit of spare resin at the end of a glassing job was poured into the hull V sections. My hulls could be used on an ice-breaker ! but I'm afraid there was not much "craftsmanship" involved.
Keep plugging away at it and enjoy the process if you can. I look forward to watching your sailing videos in the future. I currently have Water Music advertised for sale with Richard Woods, but it is a bit half-hearted really. I am hoping we can get out to her in early July and that all our Covid/Brexit problems will go away. But things are not the way they were.
