Marta, I have to tell how much I appreciate this video. I have enjoyed many of the Christmas card making videos by all the talented people I find on YT. But most of them are with some new stamp set or dies that I simply can't afford. The cards you made today are simple and elegant and are made with supplies that most of us probably own already. Marta, I think it's amazing when people know more than one language. I took 3 years of Spanish in school and still can't speak or write it. I think your English is great! To answer to your question about the "bubbles" you were painting:
A bubble is a thin sphere of liquid enclosing air or another gas. Ex. Soap bubbles
A bauble is a small, showy trinket and is synonymous with ornament, both of which are acceptable names in English for the "bubbles" you were painting.
In the States, especially on the East coast, we just call them Christmas 'balls', which is inaccurate because technically a ball is a spherical object you play with, usually in sports games.
However, I think "bubbles" is way cuter and will be calling them that from now on! Lol! Great cards! You are so wonderful! Also, you're pregnant??? Congrats! Many blessings to you both!

Lovely delicate glitter tree is definitely my favorite! I never would have dreamed that I’d want to make 🎄 cards but now, because of you, I will. Maybe the powder like color bursts if I go very lightly!

i like the non traditional colours, we live in Bermuda and despite being in the northern hemisphere we are not a cold country and it feels silly making snowflakes/ wintery cards i might have a crack at some bauble cards in more tropical colours thanks Marta

I get a kick out of the metallic pastel tree. And I really like the red and yellow single bauble. They are all wonderful!
Your work is beautiful. There is another technique you can use that I think you would like. You wet the paper before hand like you have done. You add your color, make sure it's kind of wet. Then you put salt onto the pigment. There is a product called masking compound. If you wish you have sharp edges for your shapes, you can draw your shape, paint the compound over the title, and the outer edges and then go super wet on your paper, for the spreading effect you like. When the project is dry, you peel off the masking compound. You can also give rubber cement a try, to see if this works. It might depend on the paint, so you might want to give it a test run on scraps. If you do not like a certain color placement, if you are very careful you can use bleach to remove the paint. It's something you will have to experiment with so you know how to control that. I had a thought about the string your Daddy sent you. You could make cards using the string in some fashion for a more "rustic" effect, or other color strings, and see what you come up with for them. You can also emboss over your dried watercolor pieces also. Not to mention applying glue with a very fine brush and adding a very fine glitter or just an iridescent glitter that gives sparkle without color overload. I hope these ideas inspire you to inspire others. My favorite cards were all of them. Each had their own merits. I was very partial to the Christmas balls, and the tree you didn't care for, so that shows you each person has their own taste. I love that your videos are longer than most. Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us.

You can also buy masking fluid pens now. I'm having a lot of fun with mine and they're so easy to write with and then paint over and then take the masking fluid off and the white or coloured lettering or shapes are left behind 👍

Confidence is everything in watercolour, and you know when to stop!
Paper is the most important. For cards, use what you have.
100 percent cotton rag is the best.
I like Fabriano Artistico, it is reasonably priced in full sheets in a box of 4, one free, cut it down.
Bend each piece back and forth, repeat, and tear out sideways.
Some colours flow more!
Yes a better brush will be easier. This is a personal choice. Some are wetter, and hold a lot of water, others drier.
Wipe the brush off on a paper towel, particularly off the metal ferrule of the brush before "charging the paper with colour",
I put the paper towel/serviette on the edge of the table, closest to you, and then the patterns, if you open the serviette, you get 4 repeat patterns, from just your brush cleaning marks, and I use it later in my work to collage, using Yamato rice paste, or mod podge matte for paper is also good!

Re watercolour brushes, it's really worth getting yourself one high quality professional round. I bought one for $35 years ago, it has a very fine tip for fine lines but you can also fill it up with water and colour and do thick strokes and washes. And they last forever.

I have a cheap kids watercolor set which is ok however some of the colors are not very strong in color, but they are fun to use. I must get a better set !!!

Too much is bad for your kidneys
I don't think pregnant ladies are suppose to have caffeine, but I'm not sure why. I know it can raise your blood pressure, so, if you are susceptible to getting preeclampsia , you might need to not have any. I'm sure Marta is a very responsible mommy.

Caffeine squeezes our capillaries and reduces blood flow. Blood carries oxygen and nutrients and keeps blood sugar in the right range to prevent brain damage--a pregnant woman does not want to reduce the oxygen and blood sugar and nutrients to her fetus, and this is why there is a recommendation not to indulge in caffeine during pregnancy.

My favorite is the red & gold ornament hanging from the branch. The glitter added the perfect touch. I also loved the metallic tree, honestly they were all just gorgeous! Congratulations on your pregnancy. Thanks for all your enthusiasm and generosity, I learn so much from your videos.

Really nice video! You are so full of joy in the making of these cards. It says this video is 3 years old and somehow I'm just now seeing it and write in time for making Christmas cards which I was already in the process of.
