Works, thanks for this. I almost bought a terabyte drive to DL the large videos and reupload them in storage saver... but the button to convert is a charm.

That was interesting. Does compressing the photos affect the quality when they printed?

Technically it's now a lower quality photo whatever you do with it. I don't know a lot about photo printing, but I imagine if you printed them in the standard size that you might put in a photo album, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. However, if you printed it in a fairly large size that you might put in a frame, the quality might be noticeably slightly worse than an uncompressed photo.

hi i try to compress my videos and photos in windows 10 to store in flashdisk, so i try right click and compress to zip file but file size didn't change can you advice me something ?

Compressing to a zip file won't change the size of the files, it just puts them all together in one zip file for easy transferring. If you want to reduce the size of photos and videos, you would need proper compression software.
Google Photos does proper compression (that's what this video is about), but all the photos would need to be on Google Photos for that.
A good option for images is shortpixel.com. I use that to compress images before putting them on a website, but with a large library of photos, this probably wouldn't be very practical.
I've never tried to compress a whole lot of images on a computer like this before, so unfortunately I can't give you a specific recommendation. But if you Google something like "image compression software for Windows" or "how to compress images on Windows", you might find something more helpful.

I'm going to write a comment.
In this comment, I will tell you how redundant and annoying your video is.
While you're reading this part, I'm already probably asleep or in the shower or at work or on vacation or wait, who am I kidding? I haven't been on vacation in over 20 years because my time seems to be worthless to everybody else.
Oh yes, back to the comment.
So, like I said, I am writing this to drive home how obnoxious and pedantic this video is. Pedantic means it seems like you're talking to a kindergartener.
Even when you say, "Now I'll show you how to get the photos you've already uploaded to a lower quality so they take less space.", you say, "But that's how to get them to take less space for media uploaded in the future.", about 3 times.
Now, I hope this is making sense and I have so much spare time right now so I'll choose to waste it by giving advice but not really giving advice because my editor is terrible.
So, did I even say that this video is a waste of virtual space or did you just assume it?

Not that I'm a grammar expert or anything, but I believe you used the word pedantic wrong.
The definition of pedantic according to Google is "excessively concerned with minor details or rules; overscrupulous.".
While your overall comment appears to be implying that I am too pedantic in the video, you said "pedantic means it seems like you're talking to a kindergartner", so I believe the word you're looking for there is condescending.
Again, I'm no expert in the English language, so I could be wrong.

@@techtimewithtimmy I used the word "pedantic":
      Wrong ❌
      Incorrectly ✅
I'm bored. Can't be running lawn equipment at this hour but got lots of yard work to do.
Granted, the video did eventually get to the advice, it's just hidden better than (insert an instance of something being hidden extremely well that the general public would know about, so Sally during Hide & Seek who died while waiting to be found doesn't count).

Touché, as I said, I am no expert.
