Were times ever that simple and were people ever that simple? And I don’t mean that in a bad way that they were simple in a negative way. I mean simple in a sweet, kind and helpful way. Thoughtful of others needs. Yes, some of them were. I remember the kindnesses of people to my mother who was a young widow with 3 very young children. 2 boys and 1, 2 or 3 year old daughter. I remember the kindness of a teacher who bought the 2 young boys each a pair of new shoes because they had come to school barefoot in the snow because their shoes were so worn out that they couldn’t wear them. after reading the comments and seeing how everyone thinks this is such a positive story, I feel so sad that people dont know it is such a tragic story.... those poor girls and what happened to them, being ripped away from their mother and father to be placed on exhibition for the Doctors personal benefit .... I hope some will look up the Dionne Quintuplets and learn the truth
From what I’ve read, the parents were given a mansion and made a lot of money from these girls. The three surviving children, when they were older, stated how their mother had abused them, how their father had sexually abused them during their teenage years and they never felt a part of the family. (Wikipedia). Very sad.
Yes, a tragic story, but the point is others truly cared. Sure there were issues in the "good old days" but for the most part -- at least here in the southwest -- people thought beyond suffering.
I feel for what those parents went through the ones with Diphtheria because one of my son’s got measles when he was 5 months old and almost died. He was in quarantine for 2 weeks. Was very scary time.
Sorry the Dionne quintuplettes wer born n that time n history. They wer treated like freaks of nature and grew up sad. Think if they wer born today what bettr lives they would hav had. 😢 Loved this movie though very much. Thx for presenting.
The powers that be determine the hospitals we get with the money from the taxpayers. On and on it goes. While the amount of care goes down the prices go up yet the board of directors see their salaries go up up and up. And we the taxpayers say nothing about the dishonest betrayal to ourselves.
It was good seeing city physicians offering credit to the country doctor rather than looking down their noses at him. The combination classic comedy/tragedy storyline is very moving. My parents lived through this era. Dad was the country boy and mom was a city girl. I was fortunate to witness diversity, not always positive but I learned a lot.
Why weren’t the children returned to their parents, why were they kept isolated & ppl coming to look at them as if they were in a Zoo , seems kinda sad really , does anyone knw if they were ever reunited with their family & parents … Fantastic movie … ❤
Genuine faith comes only as a gift from God and no one deserves it! We are saved by faith and not of ourselves it’s a gift of God completely. If you think your works save you they are but filthy rags in the sight of our LORD.

Two of the quints had owned a small flower shop on the corner of Jeanne Mannce and Pine, facing a greystone convent, not far from the St. Remi hospital, mid 1980's. A colourful display of flowers skirted the exterior of the shop, in the neighbourhood we call The Main.
This movie is a great illustration what Jesus' birth, perfect life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension can do in the lives of his children. Sharing the gospel is a hit and miss proposition. We follow Christ to heaven where our salvation is complete, but this heavenly position is unmerited. There is nothing we can do to save ourselves. All the work has been done by the Lord Jesus Christ. He took us with him to the cross where we died to our sinfulness. This is the message that brings new Christian babies into the world, 5 at a time, but even one sinner made perfect n the heavenlies is a miracle of God.
