I just enjoy the side step into innocent fantasy these old movies provide. Most modern movies leave me feeling my face has been rubbed into the most distressing parts of "reality." Thank you! 👍
Good humor and good manners! i grew up watching movies like this. i may never watch another new film again. Current media brings me down. Leave the World Behind? Yes, i think i will. .. about 80+ years behind!
LOOKS LIKE EARLY MOVIE MAKERS SEDATED THE LITTLE BOY. HIS EYES ARE GLAZED OVER. WHAT ONE-YEAR-OLD SITS STILL THAT LONG. THEY DID THAT STUFF AND WORSE TO CHILDREN. FOOLISH MOTHERS SAID NOTHING.
They were terrible. Even Shirley Temple had bad experiences. Very early in her career she and the other toddlers in movie series had to sit on block of ice if they didn't "behave." And then there were the pedophiles......
The mother likes him more than the daughter. Same. The same was with my husband and mother and between my brother and his mother in law. Probably some past life connections, and young men do appreciate the companionship of mature women. The was with
@maryperkins5867 "Probably some past life connections"? I beg to differ, although twenty or more years older, some mothers are very competitive with all women, even their own daughters. They are so envious of their youth, and looks that they flirt outrageously with their daughter's dates, and even their husbands. Unfortunately it's not unheard for a mother to actually be the cause of a divorce, and then they marry their former son-in-law. Which would technically make the daughter's ex- husband, her step-father. Creepy!
Though Not the biggest star, Wendy Barrie had interesting career as Queen of the B's at RKO. So glad she ditched her high-pitched over - elocutioned voice she affected in the the 30s. She sort of tarnished her career with her association with mobster Bugsy Seigel and later became a popular TV hostess in the 50s.
16:35 Charles Lane lived to the ripe old age of 102! Some may remember him as Homer Bedloe on Petticoat Junction.
One of McMann and Tate's clients on Bewitched!
He was in the Frank Capra movie "It's A Wonderful Life" too.
Big thank you for such an enjoyable movie. It maintained my attention all the way through.

The same opening credits music as "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" with Carol Lombard and Robert Montgomery, 1941. (as you can see, I love movie trivia!)
Fun, clean movie. Thank you. I had to laugh because in some ways I identified with Mr. Baldwin. There was no telling what our daughter would do.
What a nice father!
If it ever comes up on Jeopardy... Wendy Barrie was the girlfriend of mobster Bugsy Siegel.
🤫
Thanks for posting. I love these classic black and white rom coms
It's good to watch an innocent decent flick, no blood and guts. Richard acted more like the baby at times. Tku for post.

A Very Clever Story xxx
What a wholesome and wonderfully romantic movie. They sure don't make them like this anymore. Thank you for the upload. Thumbs upped and new subber.
Very cute
The Academy Awards omitted Charles Lane from its tribute. They said he was a TV actor.
I believe the year prior to his death he did a short for them.
Good movie! I really enjoyed it!
Virginia Hill was Busy Siegal's girlfriend. She's the actress that helped him when he was building The Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas.

Her son's her bread and butter! She's not going to jeopardize THAT!

It's because they were male. I've known tons of people where this has happened. Not only men were chauvinistic.
@@MARIASIEGEL-oc4qp You're rather condescending. Typical female attitude.

Water can help to remove dirt and impurities from your skin. It can also help to cool and refresh your skin on a hot day.
It bothers me that these characters lie as if it would be natural.
Is this based on Gimbles and Macy's?
