    This is exactly why we need to go back to a point system like before. Maybe not exactly the same, I believe a combination of both would be perfect. Points the whole season then the playoff system stays the same. That way at least people don't get lucky and just win one race and get into the playoffs..

    I agree with fines and points and suspension not maybe that much. Let him keep the win hes not going to make it past 1st round anyway. My worry is other drivers who need a win badly and dont care will do the same thing the next 3 races

      I say points and fines are good enough. Then Nascar makes a hard statement that going forward this kind of racing for the win won't be tolerated and may lead to suspensions. Just treat it like how they treated the Chastain Wall ride it gave them publicity and they then changed the rule to make it illegal and they could do something similar in this scenario going forward.

    Yes Dillon did come down 1/2 a lane but Hamlin was drifting up the track.

      Hamlin actually was a tad bit below the racing line to avoid the wreck, you have to go by the racing line not the spot on the track.

    I`ve seen Lagano do some questionable things to win a race.He might have taken people out with a little more finesse but he shouldn`t complain too hard. It looks like the Hamlin wreck was a momentary lapse and not as bad actually. Dillion was going pretty fast all day coming out of the turn and a lot of drivers would have done the same thing.

      It’s crazy how Denny lives rent free in y’all’s heads. It’s like you can’t think about any thing else. The sad part is the hate you hold in your heart you can’t even see the difference between any thing Denny has ever done and this. I can also promise you Denny has never done anything like that I would love an example and if you chase at martinsville you are a wrong simple as that. But I do believe any time Denny even sniffs Larson tail y’all demand a penalty so at least be consistent with your wrong takes🙄

      🙄 okay guy you better have the same attitude when Larson runs a guy into a wall and gets wrecked because that seems to happen a lot but I’m sure we won’t hear a peep out of you unless it’s to penalize anyone who even looks at Larson wrong. And it doesn’t even matter if Denny was driving up the track 1/3 of a car lane Denny was in the lead and Austin should have followed him up. But look Austin is out of the play offs got 0 points and just looks like a spoiled brat to actual nascar fans not just hendrick D riders.

    You falter Austin and there's no way you should have ever done that and most drivers and when they accidentally wreck someone they apologized he acted like it was the greatest move in the world and it's ridiculous 90% of the drivers would never do that and it's just a b******* move

      @@paulkribbs1701 There is no way that he was going to point his way in. So if you see an opportunity in front of you, you can't be nice. You have to be aggressive. If you have to ram people out of the way, and then deal with the consequences later on, so be it. That was probably Austin's only chance this year to win.

    Wow. What a s***show. Horrendous finish. Ludicrous how many vlaim other drivers have done what Dillon fid AND claim its happened before and it was fine. It wasn Fines, suspensions, fans real unhappy.
    That wasnt hard racing, bump and run, using some up. It was egregiously bad driving by a driver thats statistically one of worse restarters on grid.

    If i was Austin I'd be pissed,i can understand why sooner or later why nascar has to do something, but joey ran over William Byron to win a race, but i think them saying that he cant use it to get in the championship is wrong,and finan joey 50,000 dollars for going crazy on pit road, and maybe running over people and killing them is a slap in the face. He should have had to miss a race.if im Richard Childers im getting my lawyers and im appealing this,all they did was make an example out of Austin and let 2 cry babies get away with it .nascar you've done it again, you screwed up,Austin you got screwed.

      Joey logano moved Truex Jr at Martinsville to win in 2018. So they should be OK if it comes back towards them.

    2010 Call Edwards hooked Brad Keselowski to win a race. I believe last lap last corner to coming to the flag you do what it takes to win. Now if it just a retaliation thing just to take someone out is different, yes a penalty is warranted then.

      He didn't just dump someone tho, he ran into the back end of someone after running off into the corner way too hard and after realizing he was going to get beat my Hamlin on the bottom he hooks back down to take him out. NOTHING about that was normal, if nothing is done about it this is just gonna get worse

    at 2:32:29 Austin Dillions tire changer CLEARLY lost control on right front tire and it CROSSED THE LINE of his pit box by a LARGE MARGIN as the announcers stumbled on their words and the cameraman, who had PERFECT POSITIONING TO CLEARLY SEE THE INFRACTION THAT HAS COST SOOOO MANY TEAMS SOOO VERY MUCH bailed out on the shot as quick as he could. If that doesnt just SCREAM that the FIX WAS ON…i dont know..

    Look listen I need to say this I think NASCAR should stay out of it no fines at all I think the bump and run with Joey is fine and fire. Joey would’ve done the same thing now we come down to Austin and Danny, which I’m not a fan of either one of them, I think they was both run that lines and was committed from what I see. Danny was ahead and he had his line he got hooked, but I don’t think Austin hooked him from spectator from television. That’s all I have to say. I hope NASCAR makes the best decision that I can from the information that they have and they’re probably gonnabecome Idio, but it is what it is. I’ll accept it. It was a great race as a great finish. I enjoyed it.

    I've always liked Joey alright; he is a little dirtier than I care for, but nothing like Denny or Kyle Bush, but Joey has been on the wrong end of these deals plenty, but Austin did nothing either of these two would have done, I know that because they have, multiple times.

    I’ve watched ,”Laguano” and,”Hamlet” pull this type driving all the way back to Ontario years ago when Laguano dumps Hamlet and breaks his back. They haven’t changed except to develop a justification dialogue…”yuk-yuk-yuk, that’s racing”. I’ve also sadly watched this type of racing behavior expand at local tracks. Now when the two biggest hypocrites in NASCAR are on the receiving end people are talking about how bad this is!! I’m down to watching about 1/2 of NASCAR because of the BS and lack of real class racing. If they come down on Austin and just slap Laguano’s wrist for his after race dangerous antics…so long NASCAR hello more dirt shows…where real racing is happening. Just sayn…

    There needs to be a change now! I know there has been situations like this before from Dale Sr and others but it does not make it a right. The rest of the season could be very crazy if they don’t do something now. I feel Dillon is a dirty driver. They also need to do with the person saying to wreck him.

    Kids shouldn't be in the racecar while its running 9n track ever. Kids just shouldn't be permitted on the racetrack ever when theres any cars around

    If any driver can get away with this, it makes NASCAR look like WWE. It might be entertaining, but it's not legit racing - it's just bumper cars at high speed. The playoff format needs adjustment.

    Saw someone on one of Kenny Wallace’s videos comment they wanted the win taken away, Dillon given a 2 lap penalty and suspended 2 races, the crew chief and spotter for the 3 suspended for the rest of the season, driver and owner docked 100 points, and a combined $250k fine between the driver, crew chief, and the team. They did admit they hate RCR so……

      Per past precedents that would be the appropriate punishment. Intent was clear when spotter told him to wreck the 11 and Austin even admitted to intentionally wrecking him in the post race. So that 1 race for that and 1 race for the right hook.

      Honestly. Id be cool with the playoff birth heing taken away. That way to win was a joke just because of the right hook. I could care less about the logano part butright hooking into a wall is unacceptable. Plus the SMT even shows the insane steering input austin used.

      Zero times he or the 11 have right hooked anyone for a win. I can't even think of a time when the 22 blatantly over drove the corner just to clean the leader out. Has he used the bump and run or moved people? Yup. Over drove the corner to clean someone out or right hook? Nope. And I can't stand the 11 or 22, so.....

      Never. And I know you are gonna say what about this race and what about that race but I don't think in Cup, Joey ever was four to five car lengths back to wreck someone. The closest thing was the Toyota All-star Challenge at Irwindale. And he got DQd all the way back to last place

    Dillon held his line. Denny did not. Denny likes to position his car so there is contact to right rear. But he never says a word when he wins with these dirty tactics. His taken several wins from Larson using these tactics J/S
