I have been looking for weeks for a definition of Dharma. This is by far the best definition I've heard and the only one that meant anything to me. I transcribed the whole teaching for rereading. Thank you

    I'm Gonna Dream
    I know what's real
    I know what's right
    Humanity won't fall
    Without a fight
    I see your dreams
    I see your nightmares
I know what keeps you up at night
    Everybody wants change
But afraid to do anything about it
    Internal fears take over
You just want to shout it
    Triggers take over your mind
    Emotions get out of control
You call out for the devil to take your soul
You don't want to live like this anymore
It's not how we're supposed to be
    Who wins the battle inside?
The one that wants to be free
Dream your dreams that touch your soul
It's only fear that puts you out of control
Ignite the fire that's rising inside
Overwhelms the place you go and hide
Dream with me, I'll carry you through
Feel what you thought couldn't happen
Once you limit yourself to this world
    You kill the flying dragon

The Buddha is alleged to have said, “Rare it is in the universe to be born into a human lifetime; rarer still is it to hear of the dharma; rarer still is it to accept the teachings; rarer still is it to act on the teachings; and even rarer still is it to realize the truth of the teachings.” To even hear of enlightenment is already the rarest of gifts. Anyone who has ever heard of enlightenment will never be satisfied with anything else.
Information itself thus becomes the teacher but requires assent by the individual’s spiritual will to become activated. The spiritual teacher who has reached spiritual maturity remembers that the devotee is frequently enthusiastic but naïve. The naïve devotee is easily deceived by false teachers or teachings that are attractively packaged. Guidance is therefore another value of the guru who steers the student away from enticing pitfalls of spiritual seduction and glamour. The teacher’s function is to inspire, to instruct, and to confirm by personal testimony the truth of teachings and to encourage students who are struggling with the path.

As per my understanding from mahabharatham and bhagavath geetha Dharma means life it self. each and every action [Karma] in your entire life is connected with Dharma. If you consider a tree as Dharma [1.Knowledge 2.love 3.justice 4.surrender 5.courage] These are the Qualities like a branches of a Dharma Tree. The Quality of Compassion or mercy is the root of the Dharma tree. if our every action based on the above qualities it is Dharma. If a person walk the path of Dharma over the period of time a human became Karma yogi and will be a enlightened soul. Why these qualities?
    1. Knowledge - A person has to think weather his action is selfish or good to one as well as welfare to other people. selfish action is adharma so we should avoid those actions. [Karma related to basic survival like eating, drinking will not come under selfish action]
[if doing so over period of time it will stabilize your wit (puththi)]
2.love - unconditional love to all living and non living things in the universe. Some times our love towards the other humans may be misunderstood and it will bring conflict with them. if that happens at that time be silent and show pity on that person instead of anger and continuous argument. because not all the people in the world have a same level of knowledge or bhakthi towards enlightenment somebody will get in 10 life, some body will take 1000, etc.,
[if doing so over period of time it will stabilize your emotions in the heart]
    3. Justice - if some body done injustice to you , the counter for the injustice should not based on anger or vengeance. As per bhagavan in mahabharatham, after the attempt to undressing the droupathi event, she personally asked Krishna what i have to do the kowravas? Krishna replied that forgive them now. She shocked and asked again forgiveness for those kind of people, what are you saying? how is it possible? Krishna replied to droupathi you deserves justice there is no doubt about that, But if you act upon your personal suffering it is vengeance it is adharma. Instead of Think that, a queen like you if it is happening think about normal people condition in the kingdom? so instead of personal vengeance, you have to act upon welfare of all the women in this kingdom that is justice. that is dharma. he replied
[if doing so over period of time it will stabilize your Soul]
4.Surrender - You have to surrender all your actions to bhagavan before doing that action. same way when you are anger, fear remember bhagavan.
[if doing so over period of time it will stabilize your emotions in the body]
5.Courage - some times you have a situation to tell the truth against who you most loved at that time be courage and tell the truth.
[if doing so over period of time it will stabilize your emotions in your Manas (Mind)]
if the five things are stabilized a human will be in a state of mercy towards all living and non-living beings. That is the true state of Dharma.
I'm so sorry for any writing mistakes because English is not my mother tongue

Amazing video Roger . Whats the different between the buddhist dharma and Hindu?? Does dharma Exist in the abrahamic religions??

In Hinduism, Dharma is another word for the Ultimate Reality and includes the paths and practices to realize that Reality. So it is the Way of living life according to the Truth. In Buddhism, the Dharma is the teachings of the Buddha, and to practice the Dharma is to practice the teachings. They are very similar in that they are both teaching that to live life according to the teachings of Truth, one will be practicing the Way of right living, which will lead one towards the goal of Liberation, Moksha, Nirvana, Enlightenment, Salvation, or other such terms. Dharma does exist in all Religions, even if it is not called that. To follow the teachings of Jesus, or Mohammed for example would be practicing that Dharma, if one could keep oneself out of the trap of practicing false teachings. To genuinely practice Dharma is to practice that we are One in God, Truth, and Reality. We must Love, Forgive, and care for one another, beyond ego identity of belief or Religion. 🙏🌎💙

@@facts-never-lies3160 No, There is no concept of Dharma in Abrahamic Religions as they are Religions and not Dharmas. One of the core differences between Hindu Dharma and Buddhism is that Buddhism does not accept any eternal creator but accept the hindu concepts of Karma, Rebirth & Nirvana. Some Tibetan buddhist traditions also accept Hindu Tantra practices along with some Dieties from the Hindu fold.

In English it's two words, in French it's one word. And although the source might vary slightly or greatly, the journey and destination is almost always very much the same.
