- Usually ISFJs feel embarrassed if someone compliments them, whether it's true or not. Even if ISFJs know the compliment is genuine they are still extremely uncomfortable getting it face to face. ISFJs are infinitely more comfortable with being complimented for actions rather than for their appearance. ISFJs may act awkward when they receive compliments which are meant to be expressions of affection. Though compliments in general make them uncomfortable, since they work hard to be humble people, they do enjoy appreciation from time to time, especially when the people closest to them admire and appreciate them for who they are.
ENTPs aren’t the most emotional people, but they are definitely charismatic. They enjoy receiving praise from others, so they are very generous with compliments towards people they care about. ENTPs are also good at giving out praise to people, and often know the right words to say if they want to. Well, when ENTPs get compliments, which make them feel uncomfortable they might have a sarcastic comment in response.

as an ISFJ this situation - the ENTPs „polite bluntness“ and the ISFJs „did he really just say this?“-mild annoyance was quite relatable😂
I could imagine a very similar situation happening with my entp friend.
One time, where we sat next to each other in class, I was trying to focus on what the teacher was saying and my entp friend was nonstop asking hypothetical questions and nonstop writing disturbing poems (about war and death and satan and some specific video games) on my paper. With the time I beecame very annoyed and snapped at him telling him to shut it. He reacted in such an unimpressed calm way saying: „Awe man, you know what? In about 60 years when we‘re both caught in a retirement home you‘re gonna be so happy about every single stupid word I‘m saying to you - you should feel honored!“ it annoyed me and touched my heart at the same time😂

The ISFJ description of compliments is highly accurate.
I once dated an ESFP who would constantly compliment aspects of my appearance, and it made me feel uncomfortable and sometimes a bit angry.
I'd much rather be complimented for what I do/my personality vs what I look like.

I was brutally gutted by an ISFJ female. I've still yet to meet anyone so selfish and hurtful. That doesn't mean that ISFJ's aren't amazing. You just can't trust stereotypes.
@@NayburhoodSnipa The reason why an ENTP is better with an ISFJ than an INFJ is that both seeking functions will be fulfilled. I definitely have seen duals interact and as the audience in those types of situations, it is always magical.
As an ENTP female married to an ISFJ male this skit (and original comment) is accurate. We’ve been married 16 years and together 20. It’s not been easy but we fulfill each other exponentially. Being with your “opposite” that shares your cognitive functions in reverse order is underrated and highly recommended. ❤

I don't mind compliments about my appearance as long as they are not overtly pervy ones. I think it's just part of getting old...you get less defensive about your apprearance. -intj
