- The RUclips mom accused of abusing two of her children is set to appear in court Monday for a hearing. Ruby Franke and her business partner, Jodi Hildebrandt, allegedly tied up two of Franke’s young children in Hildebrandt’s remote Utah home and starved them until one escaped. Both women face six counts of aggravated child abuse. The Law&Crime Network’s Sierra Gillespie breaks down what to expect in her next court appearance.

I highly doubt a judge will do that. She'll probably have time served and probation, max 2 years prison. =(

I think we need laws to protect children from unwanted publicity brought on by their parents. It's obvious some parent's get more motivated by the money rather than what's best for their children.

The dad and the bishop need to be held accountable as well as these two evil women . If they are let out . Something is really wrong ! This entire case is so disturbing. 3 months for torturing children . They will have to recover for the rest of their lives.
The husband should be held accountable as there's no way he didn't know about what his own wife was doing BUT, The LDS Church has absolutely NOTHING to do with each, individual, members choices.
There's plenty of people who go to church but noone really knows what they're like in their own homes.

I'm 58. When I was 6yrs old, all I was told from my mom, make your bed. Get home from school, change into my play clothes. I hope and pray the children are safe. Thiis is my opinon Neither parents should have contact with the children until 18. Remeber, Keith wanted to press charges against his oldest daughter....just sayin...

They were separated for over a year. That's why he didn't know (yes, I agree that he should have fought back and just gone to get the kids at some point, but I guess he couldn't have known how long it would go on for?!). This is one of Jodi Hildebrand's many 'therapy' tactics - to separate husbands from wives and fathers from children, by convincing the fathers that they are a danger to their families, and the only way to bring the family back together is to have zero contact until she says it's ok - which makes no sense whatsoever!! But when someone you have been told is the best of the best controls you in that way, I guess you're going to follow their advice. So many other stories online of families who have been torn apart by Hildebrand over the last decade in a very similar manner 😭💔 The whole case is terribly sad 😭💔

When it comes to insane crimes, religious fundamentalists have to take the cake. Trickling down from Jim Jones, Warren Jeffs and Marshall Herff Applewhite types to individual families, I think you’d be hard pressed to find not only more horrific examples, but just creepy in general. The one thing I would like to see happen in court is to have Ruby listen to the 911 call while we watch her. She will have to live with that over her the rest of her life, and then play the charge SHE made that her boy is an abuser so that makes it ok. The same for Jodi

There won't be a trial. She plans to plead guilty on Monday. Chances are high she will receive her probation sentence.
