More likely people calling themselves psychologists or psychologists who have had their licenses taken away but continue to do the same thing they were before, which is illegal. I would like to see the studies they're basing this treatment on. The only ones I'm aware of, are considered to be unethical, throughout the world. Recreating such a study is considered to be abusive and sick. We do have "professionals" in this country who have managed to pass laws saying the messed up things they do are based on sound science and judges will go along with it just because it has been written into law and there are too few people in Washington who know how to interpret or question science.

Yes! I feel like no one has watched the interviews of the trajectory of him being forced to leave the home for at least a year, only to provide financial support and no contact. I used to work in an elementary school cafeteria years ago. We kept a loaf of bread and peanutbutter and jelly for little ones without lunch. Called mom and dad for approval to serve. It was rare that we needed to utilize back up. Nowadays, there are free lunch programs available. The old way would get way too convoluted to provide an "emergency " meal like we did then.

I never considered she did it for her mom. She took Ruby and Kevin’s passports, Kevin’s personal journals, and video cameras.

He was doing what ever his wife told him. He didn’t know what was going on with his kids? He was a custodial parent legally. He abandoned them. He is as much responsible as the two women. He now using the PR route to come out of this looking clean.

More likely people calling themselves psychologists or psychologists who have had their licenses taken away but continue to do the same thing they were before, which is illegal. I would like to see the studies they're basing this treatment on. The only ones I'm aware of, are considered to be unethical, throughout the world. Recreating such a study is considered to be abusive and sick. We do have "professionals" in this country who have managed to pass laws saying the messed up things they do are based on sound science and judges will go along with it just because it has been written into law and there are too few people in Washington who know how to interpret or question science.
Yeah so that definitely shouldn’t be a thing since it’s well known and accepted that in parenting one should never take away basic necessities as punishment and that’s from actual legitimate psychologists and child behavior specialists (not the Mormon bishop-referred kind like Jodi Hildenbrandt) Given how their choices have turned out, if I were a parent I’d do the opposite of everything they did with my own kids. 😢

This is all a CYA act. He absolutely knew things were not healthy and abusive there. There are plenty of videos with him showing the same alarming behaviors. If he wants to claim he had no clue bc he hadn’t seen his children than at minimum he abandoned them and failed them in that and numerous other ways.

Yes! I feel like no one has watched the interviews of the trajectory of him being forced to leave the home for at least a year, only to provide financial support and no contact. He agreed to it so he could save his family/marriage. His wife allowed him no contact and he was so broken by the Jodi/Ruby manipulation over YEARS, that he agreed. I believe he was in shock and also has been severely depressed for some time. That will flatten your affect and responses.

I am a retired Court Clerk in Utah. The Injunction is automatically generated when the Divorce is filed with the Court. It is generated for all Divorce filings, no matter who you are or what the circumstances are. It has to be provided to both the Petitioner and the Respondent.
If Kevin didn't know what was happening to his children then he is a NEGLECTFUL PARENT! He should be charged. He has a responsibility to know where his children are and what they're doing or in this case, what's being done to them. How do you not know what the heck is going on with your children??

I come from a 3rd world country with very little resources and my child is treated like a princess. Private school, the best food, psychological support, etc. It takes so much more to be a better parent in our environment but we fight for it every day. I used to work in an elementary school cafeteria years ago. We kept a loaf of bread and peanutbutter and jelly for little ones without lunch. Called mom and dad for approval to serve. It was rare that we needed to utilize back up. Nowadays, there are free lunch programs available. The old way would get way too convoluted to provide an "emergency " meal like we did then.
A "great dad' doesn't ignore his kids for 13 months. He was no contact, by choice or poor judgement. He stood by and supported her cockamamie ideas about discipline while they were together and during their separation. On the jail phone calls, he promises to continue to raise their children 'in truth'. This is NOT a man who should get custody.

@LaurieFloodTeacher: the middle girls have been subjected to Ruby’s demand for “obedience with exactness” their entire lives, and the two youngest were isolated from everybody except Ruby/and or Jodi, even from each other, so it would make sense that they were not even allowed to ask about the two younger ones, much less question their treatment. Have to wonder about their treatment in achieving their obedience.
