I've been studying drones for a while and watched a ton of videos. For "Follow me" footage, Skydio has no competition. With the easy to use remote, 6 camera obstacle avoidance system, they are leading the way. 👍

I have a DJI Mavic Mini. You can set it up to follow you. I plan on using it when I get my machine.

The DJI drones are great. Unfortunately they’re tracking abilities aren’t anywhere close to the skydio drones. On the flip side the DJI drone camera are usually better than what the skydio has.

@@DerangedOffRoad So far I’ve only used it to track me while hiking. Not sure how it will do tracking a UTV. The thing I don’t like is trying to see my iPhone screen in the bright light.

I've had great luck with mine as well... except once. That was expensive

Interesting video!! I’d be interested to see how it would work in Kentucky, West Virginia area where it is so wooded

Thick woods will give any drone issues including the skydio.

Have you had a chance to test it in heavily wooded areas? Id love to get one but just not sure obstacle avoidance is quite there with dense forrested singletrack riding.

We don’t ride too much in heavily wooded areas. I think the video results wouldn’t be worth it if the drone doesn’t have room to move around and get above you

do not put the beacon in your backpack, it blocks the GPS signal. Mount the beacon on your handlebars or with a wrist strap around your wrist. Your information is not correct

How many times have you used one?

@@DerangedOffRoad enough to know that if it can no longer visually track you, it will switch to the GPS beacon. If you block the signal, the conection decreases. It is also best to have your beacon within reach in case of an emergency. Don't tell me I'm wrong. I think your videos are cool, there are a few things I've learned from them
