I’ve got tips for hiking for beginners, suggestions on what to wear on a hike through the Flatirons, as well as share some gorgeous views of the Flatirons while on my hike. The Flatirons are Boulder’s most iconic rock formations, which are made up of beautiful, slanted, reddish-brown sandstone that also make up a portion of Boulder’s foothills on the west side of town. I highly recommend hiking the Flatirons whenever visiting Boulder, Colorado.

I just did this last week. I made it to the summit and it was tough. I’m 46 and have a “grill dad” body plus out of shape but I made it and loved it. You described my experience perfectly. I was exhausted and stopped a bunch going up but on the way down my knees and thighs felt like they were going to explode lol
