Spent several days in Boulder Colorado exploring and taking in the sights...thought I would put together this short video to highlight some of the popular things to do in the area. I lived there decades ago. One of the most wonderful, and magical places I've ever been to. Beauty all around you. It's become more expensive, but what hasn't ? If you can afford it its a great place to live.

How's the social aspects like? Im not talking partying, moreso just the access to good bars, the friendliness and willingness of people to engage in conversations with folks they dont know, etc.

I heard about Boulder, Colorado for the first time while watching The Shining.
The city looks very nice, especially Pearl Street Mall with all these great architecture buildings, promenade, cafes...
The most beautiful thing in Boulder are, of course, the Rocky mountains. I hope to visit Boulder and hike one day there.

So for none American traveler to let you know most of Colorado is flat and looks like Kanas it’s capital does not even withhold the rockies. Go to a state like Utah that’s covered in mountains, it’s capital also withholds the Rocky Mountains. Same with Alberta, Canada it’s like Utah and is covered in mountains it’s capital also has the rockies like Utah’s capital does too.
@@erichkaufmann5284 Ok buddy sure. Denver is on the plains, but half of the state is mountains. Colorado has the tallest mountains in the Rockies. Utah is awesome, but has fewer mountains. Salt Lake City isn't even in the mountains. Do you realize how much harder it would be to build a city the size of Denver in somewhere like Buena Vista, Salida, or Gunnison?
@@erichkaufmann5284 In terms of scenery Utah sucks compared to Colorado it lacks color and trees.

Heh...I would say its moderate because you can stop whenever you want and rest....you can make it harder by the way you approach it, but if your not use to the elevation it will kick your butt! Im in top physical condition though!!! 😂😆😂😆

@Trending RUclips I've been visiting Colorado every year for the last decade and I always go during the winter so I have a good idea what winters are like there. I live in Austin, we have lots of nice hill country but no mountains anywhere near and are winters are a joke, all we have is little cold fronts here n there and then it's right back up to 80 degrees. We do have a lot more trees here though, I don't at all care for the Colorado plains but I do love all those huge pine and lodge pole trees up in the mountains.
I live in Houston and I’m going to visit Breckinridge and Boulder for my birthday in December to excited 😁
@@tonyhomo588 You're gonna love it. Breckenridge is especially awesome around Christmas time. If I were you I'd skip Boulder and instead go to Estes Park, it's only about an hour away from Boulder. It's the most beautiful mountain town in Colorado IMO.

Besides the GoPro and drone, what’s the other camera you are running?
My Main Camera is The Panasonic GH5, but just bought the Panasonic S5...so that will be main going forward. Only use the Gopro for certain situations.
Last time I was in CO, my altitude sickness was terrible. I hated how I felt up high even though I'm in pretty good shape. We are coming to Boulder in a few weeks. Are there plenty of good hikes where you stay low? I am fine looking up at mountains rather than being on the top
Not really….almost all hikes are in or up to higher elevation. You can probably find something if you do some digging though…good luck
