Welcome back to our beautiful state, Robbie. Next time, don't bring the smoke. I was hoping you would end your hike at Chautauqua and grab an ice cream at the country store. Maybe next time. Also, I would suggest Dushanbe Tea House for an interesting meal. I loved Thomas's Tajma-tent. I car camp in Colorado, and have an 8-person tent all to myself, with a cot - emergency composting toilet - side table - chair - and lots of room to stand and walk around. Since the weather is so unpredictable here, it's nice to have a comfortable shelter during mountain storms. The musical compositions for this episode were brilliant. At times I felt like I was in a Zelda game. Love your content. Can't wait for tor the next episode.

I love that Thomas was like "Robby's hiking "meals" are a crime against humanity anyway, so I'll just give him this random bag of cereal and he should be good" 😄

Boulder native here, born & raised and still living here. No one can take the abundance of nature and awesome views for granted, although it's easy to not use all the trails around us.
Colorado is considered a semi-arid climate. We teeter on the margin of being in a drought. That's why wildfires are so common.
Glad you enjoyed your time here 😊

I enjoyed this video. I've been in Colorado for almost 40 years. Have seen a lot of change and population growth - kind of heartbreaking :/ I think I recognized the campground where you were - the KOA outside of BV? Can't wait to see the video of your hike to top of Mt. Sherman. I'm older and am trying to get health and fitness back while dealing with tough autoimmune diseases. I used to climb 13- and 14ers and hope to try them again next summer. Was cool to see the Mesa Trail; I haven't hiked much in the Boulder/Flatirons area. Well done!

You remind me of the kid from the movie Zombieland. Yeah, I always carry more water then I think I will need. When I've hiked in Rocky Mountain National Park. I often take a Gallon of water. Two 40 ounce water bottles and a 48 ounce bladder. No such thing as too much water :)

Really loving this video so far. Beautiful sunny day. Would love to be hiking there along with Robby. Really liked how he came down off the trails and into Boulder covering some decent ground. I've been there where a friend showed me the Chautauqua neighborhood. I think it had something to do with a movement in the 1870s and onwards to get more Americans into the outdoors. It was sort of a boyscouts for adults and included a lot of entertainment.

Oh I miss Colorado already! We just came back to Australia after hiking there for two weeks, it's so so beautiful. We did notice it seemed like some Coloradans were taking it a bit for granted on trail, they'd often pass us and say things like "don't worry, the boring part is almost over", and me and my partner were like "boring part?! This is incredible!!" Hahah... Excited to see the next video! The more relaxed ones with just you and Thomas are my fave, hope Sierra tags along too 😊

what a beautiful trail, as for taking for granted trails me and hubby hike and bike the same trails have been doing so for about 30 years I still love it. seeing beautiful plants and animals and blue skies or sometimes there being snow on the ground, once we went hiking in the end of december to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and then went out to dinner. ohio has some very beautiful trails, used to be able to hike better than I can now due to old injury and obesity problems but have you gusy ever hiked the cuyahoga valley near cleveland? one of my favorite park up there is the naturealm in akron. beautiful plants of every kind, I learned about alot fo plants there. i have to ask this how in the world can you guys eat so much sugar and carbs and stay so thin? i am struggling with my diet (ketogenic) lost some weight but not like I had hoped, my body is very stubborn, been struggling with my weight for 40 years despite diets and hiking and used to be a runner, but lost that when I did weight watchers what a disaster that was. colorado is very beautiful place. see why you llike it so much.

Hey Robbie I could swear I saw a wedding ring on your finger a couple videos ago. Did you get married? Also I have a question for you all. If you saw a Bigfoot while out hiking would you run away scared and leave the area or would you just continue on like you saw a deer😅 Curious minds want to know. I had an experience which terrified me while camping with my son and wife 3 yrs ago. I will never forget it. A little after 3:00 a.m. a tree behind my tent and camp got slammed in a limb came down breaking and then 10 minutes later another one right above our camp. Then another one later down past my son's tent. I was so terrified I could not move literally for at least an hour and I finally was able to get back to sleep and the next morning I woke up a little after 9:00 and my son was out at the campfire and I asked him if he heard it the night before and he didn't hear a thing😮. It was so loud it should have woke the whole campground. I've heard other people say that only they heard certain noises, I don't know what that's all about

    • @anthonychihuahua

I'm curious now.. Did you see the fallen trees the next day? Lifelong Coloradan here and I have 2 odd experiences with what could've been a Bigfoot in the Yampa area. One very similar to yours, but instead of trees crashing, something from behind our camp threw 3 large rocks towards our camp as we had a campfire going in the late of night. We hiked-in to camp- not a road around for about a half mile. We explored the surrounding areas the following morning and no sign of humans to be found! I also have a very frightening story of the La Llorona knocking on our hunting trailer while stuck in a snowstorm asking to come in, and when we went out with our guns, there wasn't a footstep to be found anywhere near our trailer. We packed up and hauled ass outta there within minutes in the dead of the night! Lol!

@@anthonychihuahua there was already a bunch of down trees in the area so not sure. Here's something else I didn't say. A guy came in on a motorcycle across the street and up this hill from us and camped in a tent hammock for just one night. At around 3:00 a.m. he said something touched his toes through the tent hammock while he was sleeping and woke him up and he was literally petrified. 😳‼️ Kale eggs tomatoes he came up to the top of the hill the next day and yelled down at us and asked us if we had seen any bear in the area. We had not. I really think it was a Sasquatch.
