- I’ve gotten a lot of requests from tracks all over the Country to come visit and document the trip, the facilities and the history of Drag Strips ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. So, I’m upgrading the old C-10 and getting it ready to HIT THE ROAD!
Bill it would be friking awesome to watch you go to some of the small tracks and document their history. Throw in tours of some of the old school street spots.
That’s a excellent idea! I grew up street racing in the Detroit area and there’s a bunch of spots he could go talk about.
Just what I was going to say! Great Lakes Dragaway has a spectacular history.
Pickwick drag way in Michie Tn would be one good candidate for that.
Back in the sixties thru the early 70's, we had some cool spots @ the Quad City area
that would be fun to share.
The look on Bucko's face when he said it's a 1/2 ton truck, made my day.

Have you checked the length of the drive shaft? If its to long it can knock the clip off😀

Without a doubt. Measure from tailshaft housing to rear edge of the speedo cable hole, remove the cable and housing and mark that point with a sharpie around the tailshaft.
Reinstall the driveshaft, and flex the rear-end forward a bit in both directions with a primary just in case it is being caused by rear end rotation of the housing.
If the front yoke is covering the mark at any time, it is a good indication that it is approaching the clip or gear (knocking the clip off).
Remove the front yoke and have a bit machined off of it as long as it does not approach the tailshaft seal rub mark. Otherwise, you will need to have the center area trimmed on other end.
But you did have that driveshaft made to fit your own custom measurements correct? It may not be a Jeremy curse after all, but simply an overweight error.

Mokan dragway in Asbury Missouri is a very old track that you would probably enjoy. It's where I fell in love with drag racing, I'll never forget watching Bill Golden in the little red wagon or the shockley shockwave jet truck running there as a kid.

You remember back when , back when,,,,,,,,..many haters was just hating on this family and sure there were troubles and trials of such but many families as ourselves were praying and prayers work, just when the haters saw the channels name change they thought they had done something by all the hate mail and comments , but when godly people band together to pray and when god blesses someone to do something nothing and nobody can tear it apart. So as we all were sending prayers and even the haters comments even the hate and hate mail was helping build this and bless this to succeed! To know the entire story and see the results should give everyone the sight to know anything is possible through time and hard work and most of all Love and family and Gods hand at work all come together for anything or any dream, !
I remember Bill's first video. He was so uncomfortable talking to his phone to make content. You've come a long, long way Bill. Your hard work and lack of sleep for your channel doesn't go unnoticed.
It would be great to see some more older tracks that are trying to stay afloat be featured on your channel. That helps them and helps you make great content. Keep up the great work Mr Bill.

Kinda like what AZN and Farm Truck were recording during the "Locals Only" show that hasnt come out yet...talking to owners getting history etc.
Well not just documenting the history of the operational drag strips And don’t get me wrong. I whole heartedly support the idea. It will help bring revenue to the smaller tracks, by making people aware that they exist. But the history of abandoned tracks, if you can get the land access, would make for great content as well. It might even inspire someone who has the motivation and funds to get in contact with the land owner to purchase the track to renovate and reopen possibly. Therefore reinforcing the sport of drag racing.
@@hqmonaro71 do drag and drive events to the smaller tracks. Help them become successful which helps all racers.
Hey old man, great video. I have an idea, I think you need a travel buddy. Here is an idea, it might only work for people that are local or nearby. However what about doing a drawing where a person could win a small trip and travel with the old man for a weekend down to a track where you are going to race. And part of their duties are to help you and help you film they can help you on the car they can help you do whatever. Just an idea. By the way I absolutely love the banter between you and Miss Vicki I could watch it all day long! Y'all stay safe!
The C-10 has lots of character, but she gets down when she pulls up! I'm in southern TN and the grades are no joke whether you're haulin' any ass or not, so touring the country with a 50+ year old rig is a feat all it's own. Let alone tuggin' all that Detroit steel through the mountains. Props to Bucko and Kenny Powers! Ya heard? 😂

Bill use a higher ohm sending unit on the tank, it should fix the sweep on the gauge. 👍👍👊👊✌️❤️🤙

Good content with the c10 pulling the hills and in the video and the background of the out doors love it hope all the upgrades make a difference towing with the c-10 would be cool to see the open trailer with some rims and hub caps like the c10 to see what it look like

Those holes u see on the tail shaft of the transmission! The clips supposed to hold the gear in place! The metal clips is broken get a new metal clip and bet it will work like a champ! Little river dragway in Texas. 6.50 slow car class no prep. Feb 11th. Last event that class had 40 cars.
Good stuff, Bill. Great to see the love you are showing some of the smaller tracks out there which have been struggling to say the least. Your channel has done wonderful things to raise awareness and enthusiasm for the bracket/ low budget guys who cannot even begin to think about competing with the high dollar "street cars".
Your love for old school cars and motors has shown us weekend warriors we can still have fun without buying an LS, or BB, or a turbo kits.
Consider going to Rocky Mtn. Race Week, June 23-30 in KS, NE and CO - NHRA strips, 1/4 mile racing in most classes, 1/8 mile for Rowdy Radial (the Malibu may be a bit slow for that) - a week of awesome road tripping and racing, a chance to expand your fan base 😎

Need to come check out George rays wildcat dragstrip in Paragould Arkansas. Been open since 1961. George’s grandson runs the track now. The track is about as street as a track can get. Crossties and chain link down the sides. It’s a run at your own risk track. Friday nights are free entry small tire and Sunday’s are 9.0-5.50 index racing.

I think Richmond Drag Way in Va. maybe a good little track to check into.I Remember seeing the Little Red Wagon and the Hemi under glass back in the early 70s at that track when I was a little kid.

As an avid G body fan, I love the Malibu, and all the progress you've made with it in such a short time.
But wouldn't the Nova be a cooler project?
Man you all sure are getting that truck together. And I hope that the speed odometer cable can be fixed so that you can focus on the more important things and the Older but newer 64 C10 is really ready to pull anything that you want to put behind it now. Coming from a towing expert, I'd like to see you install a weight distribution unit.....it would take a lot of the load off the back of the frame on that truck arm 1/2 ton

Do a video on Thornhill Dragstrip in Morningview Kentucky. I believe you guys have raced there before. It’s the worlds oldest continuously running Drag Strip. They claim it was a old dirt airstrip. A old family member told me They would fly down to Eastern KY, TN and pickup moonshine and bring it back to the Cincinnati area during Prohibition, they made a great living flying Shine back to Cincinnati in a old Super Cub. Once it was legal some local boys started racing Model T’s, A’s and other cars on the hard packed dirt Airstrip. I raced there back in the 90’s. It’s a cool old track with great history. Really like how you are pulling your car with a almost 60yr old truck. I would look for a aluminum car trailer to save some weight. Like Bucko said, it’s only a 1/2 ton truck. Great video..
