    I hope it means that Microsoft will treat ARM more seriously from now on and they will release Windows 12 for ARM and x86 alongside each other. They just need to stop thinking of ARM as an afterthought and slowly move to it being the main version of the OS

    • @anandchoure1343
      @anandchoure1343 8 месяцев назад +3

      I doubt they'll release another OS soon, considering the rapid advancement of AI. Experts predict AGI could emerge in the next 2-10 years, making OS development for humans less relevant. It seems more logical to focus on tools like Copilot, which is already quite powerful for both human and AGI tasks; they might just enhance Copilot further before AGI's arrival.

      What is ARM? Somehow I missed that, but I'm curious.

      @@joelfacea different architecture. Just search for arm architecture and you‘ll find plenty of info.

    • @DerrickBest
      @DerrickBest 8 месяцев назад +3

      @@joelfaceARM is the company that licenses the architecture that Qualcomm, Apple, Samsung, and soon AMD, Nvidia and many others will use in mobile chips development. At the moment AMD and Intel used X86 architecture. But ARM based chips gained momentum since Apple stopped using Intel and switched to M1.
      So now if Microsoft makes Windows run on ARM architecture other (Dell, Lenovo, etc) will follow. A new ARMs race if you will. Pin intended 😄

    The big takeaway is that Intel and AMD days as x86 makers are numbered. Custom ARM chips are all the rage now. Intel with its own FABs can become the maker of ARM based chips if they can finally get past 10nm process 😂. AMD well they just gonna go after the gamer community until ARM PCs take over which will be sooner than later. No one wants 300+ watt CPUS. 😂.
