In fact his brother said so, how he is constantly holding back, even as Superman, and Clark recognized that when he was possessed by the kryptonian it felt good to not be holding back). But even so, he did minimum damage, it was just to show the guy that he can't overpower him and so he would listen. But even under all the pressures he was under, and what the guy did, he controlled himself.
Clark is the quiet guy in a bar (if he ever goes to one) there's the loud guy trying to show off or start something cause he has to prove something but the quiet guy is quiet for a reason, he knows that if he needed to do something he could but he doesn't want to

The fact Clarke was so calm, not raising his voice even after slamming him to the table with little effort must have really frightened him. It certainly caught the attention of everyone else seeing the mild mannered Clark standing up for his fmily
Ladies and Gents, this was the night Clark cassually decided that nah f this. Tonight we don't do Supes. Tonight looks like a good night for Batman. To the bat cave then!

As far as I'm concerned, that's still within the limits of a human's physical ability, just enough for people to know that he's strong but not Superman strong.
Clark and His father were considered legendary farmers and workers in Smallville and that was while Clark was just a teenager, now 20+ years later he's 6'0 something, decently built, well muscled and has been living back on his farm for a pretty decent while now. Pair that with Emmit barely being any bigger than Jonathan and in terrible shape, along with Clark being ready it's definitely not something most people would bat an eye to beyond "Damn that was crazy".
This scene was actually the first scene I watched of this show and it actually motivates me to watch the show. This show has absolutely perfect casting for Superman and the super family and this show does everything so well. The way Clark handles this man, defends his family without crossing the line and just letting him go is really quite admirable and good fitting his character so well.
I simply love the entire idea of Superman and Clark changes that still lives from Reeve's, the dude left and he still was SUPERMAN, the moment his friend called him "Kent" his entire self changed from the Kryptonian God.
People miss some of the subtlties of this. Most people noticed when he tried to shove Clark and pushed himself back. What people miss sometimes is when Clark slammed him onto the counter, he tried to, as would work with many people, immediately push himself back up. But he couldn't. His struggles weren't even MOVING CLARK'S HAND. THAT is when he got scared.
Clark has to have “lot” of self control not to hurt by accident. He could squish the man paste. Homelander or Omni man would have made finger paint out that guy. Lol.
@@damianstarks3338 also what i like about this show is the easter eggs from previous versions and stuff like that. Man, this season is gonna be amazing and emotional at the same time.
It was the look on Lana's face knowing the truth about him that changed. Normally he takes the punches and pushing down but this time he flexed just a little bit of who he really is without explicitly telling his secret. In that moment Clark was like I am the Alpha ( little Teen Wolf reference). But also displayed his humanity that makes him Clark Joseph Kent and not just Kal-El. Hes been struggling with Lois being sick and not being able to help her even though Kryptonians are scientifically advanced. Hes the most powerful person in the world and feels powerless against a human sickness But he's been bottling up his anger and rage and using every ounce of humanity that Johnathan and Martha taught him and struggling to stay in control of his emotions.

If Clark had been away and Jordan had been the one to defend his mom and brother, it would’ve been a different story. Anyone remember the “You think you can threaten my mother!” scene from Man of Steel?
I absolutely cant get enough of the heartbeat in the background slowly increasing in tempo as the scene goes forward until the end where the music just kicks back in as if nothing happened
Scenes like this is where we need to give props to Superman's restraint. Imagine having his powers and learning that a man hit your son and threatened your sick wife with a gun. Most of us would've at least ripped his arm off.
One of the best Clark scenes ever. So much time trying portray Clark as a joke to preserve the disguise,it's refreshing to see that he does leave a line where can be the real Clark when it counts.
there's a couple of moments i really love about this scene. -The guys attemp to push Clark. The backfire is satisfying, but I also like how, in-universe no one would question it. Clarks a farm boy. spending all day working on a farm for years is gonna built a lot of strength so it kinda makes sense he'd be able to shurg it off. And -Clark holding the guy down. It's subtle, but that fact that the guy is stuggling, trying to free himself. But it looks like Clark isn't even trying, like he's just laid his hand on his back with slight pressure. I love that attention to detail of Clark's strength. I'm not gonna lie. I wasn't a big fan of the show. But it did have it moments. And this is one of the top ones.
This is clark kent Superman. It's probably the best portrayal ever imo. He is pissed yet calm, gives him a chance to step outside, only attacks when provoked and his family threatened. Not only that but he makes a threat of lois exposing him, damn I love that so much. I wish superman in other media showed how he knew how to intimidate cause he knows how to.
Little detail I thought of going back to season 2 when tal rho said holding back is the only way you can walk amongst the humans without killing them And now to think with the near limitless power inside clark his restraint is incredible

Johnathan and Martha Kent raised a strong, kind, patience son💪😌
They raised him with morals, something missing from the culture now.for the most part.
@victortaylor7737 a culture that tells you to follow your heart, that you are perfect just the way you are and that the worse sin is intolerance (therefore intolerance against immoral stuff is more immoral than immoral stuff themselves), is a culture that will breed selfish ppl.
Don't follow your heart, making yourself a slave of your whims... but LEAD it.
Phenomenal acting. This show deserves so much more of a spotlight.
Wow he suppressed his strength to human limits.
I mean he does kno how much of his strength at certain times like dis
No humans can stay still while being pushed by another
Literally look at the his hand, he's not even putting any real pressure to hold the guy down. He doesn't need it.
@@BGatts666 u prolly could yo balance just gotta b hella strong tho
@@NDG21 If you're standing the way Clark is in this scene, you can't resist sh*t, if someone try to shove you (by pressing against your upper body) you have to put one of your feet behind to counter the push, or both, well I let you imagine.
Clarks not attacking. He’s defending. Title of the video is misleading
he definately went there to fight. he may not throw the punch, but he wanted it to get violent.
@@Proximax9 Clark/Superman is all about control and holding back. In fact his brother said so, how he is constantly holding back, even as Superman, and Clark recognized that when he was possessed by the kryptonian it felt good to not be holding back). He did go there prepared for a fight, because he was done with all the problems he had in his shoulders. He can't avoid all fights just because he is Superman. But even so, he did minimum damage, it was just to show the guy that he can't overpower him and so he would listen. But even under all the pressures he was under, and what the guy did, he controlled himself.
3 things all wise men fear:
The sea in a storm
A night with no moon
The anger of a gentle man
Also the anger of a gentle man that is also Superman 😂
Clark is the quiet guy in a bar (if he ever goes to one) there's the loud guy trying to show off or start something cause he has to prove something but the quiet guy is quiet for a reason, he knows that if he needed to do something he could but he doesn't want to
Kingkiller Chronicles ❤
Just because a man is gentle, doesn't mean he's soft and weak.
It means he's unpredictable.
The fourth thing all wise men fear is Patrick never finishing his third book.
W homage to the dinner scene in Superman 2 & MOS
loved Tyler in this scene,he was absolutely amazing
That “I will come for you” was badass
one of my favourite Clark scenes ever & he wasn't even Supes
Same thing I thought of.
Good of Kyle to try and help, I know he's not the greatest guy but he is a good man.
Love how Kyle stands up to hep and both Sarah and Lana hold him back like “No. No, really. Seriously. He’s got this on his own.” You can also see on their faces that both are also very concerned about how things are about to unfold.
Then the best line: “daaaamn, Kent!”
The way he said "I will come for you."...that honestly scared me...
I like it wasn’t I will find you … subtly telling Evan “you can’t run you can’t hide”
The way he bounced off clark when he attempted to shove him was beautiful
I love how before coming here he said that superman wasn't going to face him, Clark Kent even while restrained is still too much for an average human
The fact Clarke was so calm, not raising his voice even after slamming him to the table with little effort must have really frightened him. It certainly caught the attention of everyone else seeing the mild mannered Clark standing up for his fmily
I'm sorry...He is the perfect Superman.
As well as the perfect Clark Kent.
That would be Henry Cavill.
THAT'S how it's done. And the big picture Superman lets himself get humiliated and destroys his truck later
Tyler killed it. Loved this scene 🔥🔥🔥
Ladies and Gents, this was the night Clark cassually decided that nah f this. Tonight we don't do Supes. Tonight looks like a good night for Batman. To the bat cave then!
I always so in love with Clark Kent, but I’m so turned on by him right now when take down that piece of garbage of man Can you show him the Long road and take Down bad guy himself so I think Emmett that’s why I was so in love with Clock right now for them and is he coming to the diner? He was straight up to Him telling Emmett man and man nobody messes with Clark Kent than him because Turned on by him right now
Ha ha, I like how all the men in the room are kind of confused and don’t know what to do, lol.
Now Candice is staying with the Kent’s, Johnathan would probably need to talk her about what happened in Metropolis.
I think he told her at the end of episode 3 “there’s something I should tell you”
he already told her at the end of 3rd episode
They probably should enlarge that house.
Dude should be lucky Clark wasn’t on Red K
It would have been a different story
If this was injustice the dude heart would have been ripped out of his body
Even Lana who just found out Clark is Superman realized Clark could have done a lot more damage
Ngl seeing Clark this angry and serious gave me some serious Injustice vibes.
0:48 idk why but that face Kyle makes is soooo funny omg
Bro was ready to help Clark if it came to it but instead he was like, this shit is interesting
Wouldn’t people be suspicious of that push having no affect on him at 1:08 A part from that, I like Clark stands up for his family in a human way.
As far as I'm concerned, that's still within the limits of a human's physical ability, just enough for people to know that he's strong but not Superman strong.
He's well muscled and was ready, so perhaps not.
People may be a little surprised but it's nowhere near enough to say that Clark is Superman
Best line "I Will Come For You"!!! and he meant that!!🤘🤘🤘
Superman: you make me do this .
Now smallville knows..don't mess with Kent family
W episode
W scene
W writing
Lol. Love the MOS and Superman 2 references.
The Damn Kent gets me every time
The title is a little misleading, Clark didn’t attack Emmitt, Emmitt actually came at Clark first
“I will come for you.”
And Hell is coming with him.
Very badass scene. Christopher Reeve would have approved of this. :)
When you shove the guy and he does not move... at all... maybe you wanna be a little nicer?
He doesn’t know it but he pissed off superman
he is but can you imagine if sam caught up with him
This is my favorite scene from this show it is awesome
This takes me back to Superman 2 and man of steel.
I love the look on the guys face when he tries to push Clarke and nothing happens.
With everything they showed Supes doing in this show, this is the coolest thing they've done in my opinion.
THAT is when he got scared.
tyler hoechlin is the best actor to portray superman, ever, full stop.
I agree! He’s my favorite!
Clark has to have “lot” of self control not to hurt by accident. He could squish the man paste. Homelander or Omni man would have made finger paint out that guy. Lol.
Just Imagine what The incredible Hulk might have done.
That MOS moment when the dude pushes Kent and bounces off of him.
Man of Steel Bar Scene Reference
More like a combination of MOS and the bar scene from superman II
@@benreilly2040 exactly you read my mind.
@@damianstarks3338 dude, that's an easy reference for me, since it's one of my personal favorites outside of 1978 and our current Supes.
@@benreilly2040 yeah it a favorite of mine too.
@@damianstarks3338 also what i like about this show is the easter eggs from previous versions and stuff like that. Man, this season is gonna be amazing and emotional at the same time.
Batman to Superman : You're learning!
Clark did not attack Emmitt. Emmitt tried to attack Clark and he was met with a counter, ending up with his face on the counter. Clark gave a warning.
Clark saying “I will come for you” was epic
First of all, that part in the scene when Clark slams the guys head in the table, amazing! 100/10. All of the applause. Favorite part of that scene. And also Tyler looks good in everything. He’s always wearing those chinos or whatever and he can pul it off 😘
They made a perfect scene of clarck and superman as one. The best scene of that show
If Clark had been away and Jordan had been the one to defend his mom and brother, it would’ve been a different story. Anyone remember the “You think you can threaten my mother!” scene from Man of Steel?
I absolutely cant get enough of the heartbeat in the background slowly increasing in tempo as the scene goes forward until the end where the music just kicks back in as if nothing happened
Tyler was amazing in this scene but I absolutely loved Eric (Kyle's) expressions during this
God, I can hear the Sephiroth in Clark's voice during this scene
Quite possibly the best scene in a great series.
Scenes like this is where we need to give props to Superman's restraint. Imagine having his powers and learning that a man hit your son and threatened your sick wife with a gun. Most of us would've at least ripped his arm off.
Clark has developed his inner Liam Neeson!
Why is the title Clark attacks him? He attacks clark
Imagine pushing a man and he doesn’t move an inch I’d be just walk home immediately if it were me personally
Looks like Superman found his inner Batman. Good for him.
And
-Clark holding the guy down.
Little detail I thought of going back to season 2 when tal rho said holding back is the only way you can walk amongst the humans without killing them
And now to think with the near limitless power inside clark his restraint is incredible
So not only did we get a famous scene from Superman 2, but Clark goes Batman on this poor bastard.
This show is sooo great! God damn! I wish we would get nine seasons like the Flash got
I love how this is a reference to superman 2
