Thank you! You saved me! My 6 year old son is coming over this weekend. So i went nuts downloading games for him. Then I saw an email about a job interview. It had a task. Downloaded everything I needed. While I was at a diner with free wifi and went home. The computer didn't boot. I was devastated. My son would come to a boring home and I wasn't able to work on the task to get me this job interview. This worked for me. Thank you so much. My son will just have to play with my phone while I get some work done. Hope I land the job. Wish me luck.

So anytime I’m in a continuous loop of “welcome” with the loading circle thing then it goes to the mother board screen after a while and back to welcome. I haven’t got the opportunity to enter my password since like last month help. There’s not restart button or anything I can press help please it’s been a month I’m dying

The same thing happens when I try logging in with safe mode on, it just displays a welcome screen with a loading symbol next to it

SOMEONE HELP!!
I'm running Windows 10 but have a slightly different problem. On startup I get the welcome screen but there's no password box or shutdown button, just the Easy Access and Network icons. Nothing works from the keyboard, the mouse works but there's no way to get past this screen.
So I have to do the on/off thing several times to get to the troubleshooting screen, try to get it to diagnose/fix the problem, but it always seems to hang as it tries to fix the issue, but then on restarting it this time, it does give me the sign in.
Everything works just fine after that, but I cannot turn off the computer without running into the exact same problem the next time I start it up. So I've been using hibernate instead of shutdown, which works fine, sometimes for days or weeks even, but eventually I'll discover that the computer/Windows turned off the computer (possibly during an update) and I'm back to square one.
I even tried removing the password protection in hopes that the computer would just startup without seeing this screen, but nope, back to the same screen, pitfa, lol.
Can't seem to find anything on Google that addresses this exact issue, so not sure you can help, but any advice is appreciated.

Still don't have a solution, just using hibernate. Something is seriously wrong because the last time I tried to run the diagnostic it said it was unable to because of some major issue (can't remember what it said) so tried to roll back to a time before the problem started (hate this cuz it wipes all newer apps), but no luck, Windows said there was an error and couldn't roll back. Tried a few other things but no go, says my option is to reinstall Windows, AAARRRGHH. But when I exited this the machine started up like it always does and I'm back to using hibernate, lol. Don't know what is SUPPOSED to be wrong, but it's running normally, just can't shut down without going through that B.S. rigamarole, grrr. I'm beginning to suspect maybe it's a virus or malware, but I'm not savvy enough to figure it out and haven't heard any comments that it might be. At some point I'm just going to have to do a reinstall, which I hate about as much as a colonoscopy without anesthesia, ;?D
Eh, you got me worried. I restarted my computer 4 times and it finally booted up to my usual login screen with my name and an icon and went to desktop. I guess when I get around to restarting again, I'll know if I'm stuck back at that screen. I did a java update when I restarted. I don't know if that's the issue. I've heard of viruses or malware that disguises as a java update.
When I went in safe mode and it said welcome~ then preparing windows... that’s it it just be there loading forever
But what about Startup Recovery?

when i sign into my laptop and i live my cursor, it says it’s loading and then it goes black for a split second and reloads everything
it does that a lot of times. i cant open anything on the task bar or the start. i can open google but then the task bar reloads and flashes. please does anyone have a solution? i’ve searched everywhere for a solution and it’s driving me insane! :(

A common problem on my computer is ill get to the home screen (with the time and power icon) but when i click on them , after the user never appears. Do you know how to fic this issue? Especially with out restarting the computer?
My computer won't even go to the login screen and safe mode doesn't work. Any suggestions? Could I possibly get to my desktop through command prompt?

All right, so basically I followed your instructions and booted the laptop in safe mode. Apparently, even the safe mode needed to be updated... So I did it.
After I logged into it, I tried pressing the search key in order to check for drivers... However both the windows option, and the search key simply did not respond. So in despair I just decided I won't prompt any further and restarted my computer.
I tried my luck once more by logging in with my password... And it actually worked. I restarted my computer AGAIN after that, just to make sure that it was actually working, and my computer is working perfectly fine now.
So my best guess is -- all the computer needed to function properly... was for its safe mode to update as well??

I'm quite new to laptops. I can't get to part where you enter your password. It stays in the screensaver picture. What do you press to make the password part come up?
And this is why I constantly try to install Windows 7 on my PC.

Ok so, after I press F5 trying to activate safe mode, a loading screen with the windows logo shows up but nothing happens after, I tried 3 times, for all of them I waited for over an hour and nothing will happen.
Yesterday something similar happened to me (instead freezing when loging in, it froze on the windows loading screen) and I fixed that by uninstalling the last update but now I can't do that, also the automatic repair option doesn't work.
I literally ran out of options to fix it. Ugh.
Whenever I do the shift+restart thingy, the only option that displays is the startup settings one. Please help

Then I went to a different wallpaper. We just restarted it and it worked

Thank you for this upload! It was the system restore that I needed. It worked right away however after logging back in I had to uninstall then re-install a couple apps as they weren’t working. Now about 6 hours later all is back to normal. I was about 5 mins from just getting another laptop lol.

Hi, I upgraded my windows 8.1 to windows 10 using this method, I was never prompted for the product key in the process but now I'm stuck the welcome screen which won't start. its doing background work, without your permission before giving you the freedom to use the hardware you bought. Microsoft is getting real damn annoying these days about not giving users the control.
For those who still have trouble working it out try to revert back to the previous version before the update this worked for me.. Finally able to log in again

Annoying thing here is that eventhough I log the correct password it says Password is incorrect. Im 300 percent sure I have the correct password, since I logged it in outlook.

You can also click f11 repeatedly to open those settings

Guys go for the system restore,it worked at the first try for me and i was very relieved that this worked because i thought that the computer had internal problems as the pc was costing me over $2000
