How many job positions would you say are approximately WFH versus onsite? Should we expect to get WFH only if the job listing says so or is it more flexible when you get the job even if it was mentioned? Do you have to present in person to stakeholders or other departments in the companies? . Is there always enough data to be analyzed or questions to be answered that you are able to work everyday from 9 to 5 in a data analysis job or is that only if you are in a big industry? To me this always seemed more like a freelance job with only so much data and questions to be answered until needed again.
Depends who your customer is. If you work at Amazon they have many analysts. If you want to work for smaller businesses maybe you can freelance for multiple as a consultant?
Depending on the company you work at, it can be very similar to Data Analyst. BI Engineer at Amazon might focus on making dashboards but needs enough SQL and data engineering to connect to the data and set up the data models and table.
@averysmith I am from Ghana, but I intend pursuing my PHD in the USA and possibly working there afterwards. But I am concerned about the job market for Data Scientists in the next 5 to 10 years
I'm gonna guess that DataAnnotation and TELUS are overrepresented. (Outlier as well) It's possible they're hiring Data Entry or AI Trainers but advertising as Data Analyst
Definitely not. It is better to use it if needed or with purpose, like to fill a small void in the gaps between topics, or to build curiosity for revealing solutions.@averysmith @@averysmith
ooph, data engineering is soooo incredibly boring. Data transformations, sql maintenance, cloud stuff. Far away from business, no sciency stuff, except maybe anomaly testing. Big nope from me

@@mosesnyper How about the first question?
I think only 16% of data analyst jobs are remote right now 🙊
How about BI Engineers or BI Analysts?

Yes it is boring BUT, pays well.
I’m the same way. I prefer analytics or data science
@@shawngardiner2604 if its boring is it harder to get in or somewhat easier compared to data science roles
