- Join us in our festive vlog as we visit Europa Park for the first time during winter season. Along with riding our favourite attractions at the park, we also check out the Christmas shows and extra additions such as the large Ferris wheel in the Portugeese themed area. Europa Park is also decorated with thousands of Christmas decorations, including millions of lights and 2,500 Christmas trees!

Efteling has even bigger camp fires haha, but not as much lighting everywhere and no real fake snow, that is some dedication.
Love the fires, really added to the overall park atmosphere!
The Europa Park is fantastic! I've been there in Summer 2014 but not in Winter :(
Another great VLOG Shawn. Really is a beautiful park. Had planned to go 8 years ago, but the volcanic ash cloud happened...finally got there earlier this year. Delighted to have gotten to it finally!

I have been to EP mid October and I have to say today's experience on Wodan is not comparable to how it was in the year it opened. It got hell lf a lot faster over the years and as a result, the forces on it are extreme.

That first ride you went on, I like to call Discount Haunted Mansion. How did they put that bow around that large ball? Epcot needs to do that with Spaceship Earth. Eurosat's dome is quite a bit smaller than Spaceship Earth isn't it? I bet they drew inspiration from Epcot for that one.
I'm going to Disney land Paris for 3 days in the Christmas holidays!

We have something like that in Sweden to at x-mas and new year that you show at 45:42 l really want to go there one day it looks so much fun and so big :) and it looks a bit like Efteling in Holland

You UK'ers seem to have amazing school trips. Shaun went to Phantasialand, Harry to Europa lol. Unimaginable in my country (Belgium). We're lucky if we can get a mediocre Belgian park in.
We do have some epic trips!
maybe you can visit the efteling during the winter theme, it's pretty nice too but you will miss out a lot of coasters

If you like Phl's and EP's winter season, visit Efteling! It's absolutely lovely with all lights, fires, extra decorations and projections! You won't be dissapponted, promised!

i think europapark is a bit overated... dont get me wrong it is amazing! but a lot of coasters disappointed me like euromir, eurosat, alpenexpress, the bobsled was even worse than temple of the night hawk..... Wodan, Blue fire, Silverstar and arthur where just amazing in my opinion! and i was certainly suprised by atlantica, poseidon and matterhorn blitz! amazing park tho!
Look at Schweizer Bobbahn at 14:32, there's a guy walking around on the track.
They changed the Eurosat theme to the jingle one. I had the last ride of the day on Euro Mir and the second I got off the train they stopped the audio, it must drive the staff mad. 🎅🏼

Easy to see why this is the most visited Park in Europe (outside of DLP). And I've still never been :( Just an absolute nightmare of a park to get to sadly.
It's worth the journey though!
Theme Park Worldwide a train to London then to airport a flight to Germany and then two trains for a themepark trip would cost me a fortune. could get to Florida for that. doubt I'll ever go there.

How long were the waits during your visit? Does Europa park offer fast passes to avoid long lines? Do all rides operate over the holidays at Europa park? How cold can it get in Germany in December?
It was reasonably busy on some days, no fast passes available at the park and only selected rides are open, see the website for details!

There's a dude with a swastika on his bag at 10:55?
Yes, but what's hard to see, there is a hand with a middle finger in front of it. You can see it if you go frame-by-frame at about 10:53. So this guy is left-wing and not a nazi. Similarly, they have logos with a swastika being thrown into a trash can, signifying their left-wing attitude. Contrary to swastikas on their own, which are not allowed, these symbols (where it's clear you're against it) are allowed, albeit being somewhat controversial.
