- Join us as we spend the evening at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, celebrating its 10th birthday in 2016! This fantastic event has expanded year on year, and now includes some of the biggest travelling fairground rides in the world. In this vlog we check out all of the major attractions at Winter Wonderland, including rides on the worlds largest travelling roller coaster, Olympia Looping!

You make me want to go now. I rode that looping coaster in Münich in the early 90's... It's great to see its still pulling in the punters.

40:10 (Snow Jet) i used to work on that ride, Not that exact same one but another one like it. I'm surprised it didn't go backwards aswell cause the one i worked on did.

For me, Schwarzkopf and Arrow are the two most underrated manufacturers in the industry. They may no longer make rides but their impact will be everlasting

I'm glad you said Olympia Looping was your #1 UK coaster because I reached the same conclusion after one ride. I didn't know you had reviewed it already at the time I rode it - but as you say; it's at least as intense as Nemesis.

Didn't realise you guys were there! I could have met up! My dad is part of the police who are in charge of the royal parks so we got bands for the preview event for free! Didn't have to pay for them. . Absolutely fantastic night, and the Munich looper demo my favourite coaster now that I've been on.
Yet again Shawn another excellent Vlog can't wait for the next instalment.

We moved back to the USA in May. We really miss the annual trips to to Hyde Park and Alton Towers -- although I don't miss the severe cold. Thanks for bringing it to us!

We have a winter wonderland in hanley, theres coasters, a no limits ride, waltzers, ghost train, german stalls. You should try it out, I'm going on thursday :)

The only Schwartzcoff (I don't think I spelled it right) ride I have ever ridden is Montezumas Revenge at Knott's Berry farm. I love that ride!

Olympia looping made my number 9 spot on my top 10- I found it to be a bit jolty
Olympia Looping, the best rollercoaster in the UK, RIP, press F in the chat for Nemesis, Swarm, Smiler, Megafobia, The Ultimate, Stealth. But since 2016 we got Wicker Man and Icon. Wonder if you still think Olympia Looping is the best? Shame we don't have any RMCs here.
Munich Looping looks amazing as does the Alpen (which I still need to do).
Certainly the best themed fun fair out there by a country mile.

wow in london.i visited prater in april to ride . view from my hotel of coaster, cold april evening rode alone. yes alone. cant believe they run ride for just me. 8 euros.next day train full, lets say faster than ride alone. L.o,L!!!. legend Anton. glad u got to ride. my grandson aged 10, said best u.k coaster. yes u.k coaster for now!!

Olympia Looping has the weirdest restraints I've ever seen!
Olympia looping reminds me very much of the red rollercoaster that was at flamingo land. I think it was called magnum, but got shut down sadly due to causing death.

CBH There was another man operating as well but I didn't know who it was and it wasn't Eric. It got me wondering whether Eric has travelled over to London this year to work on Hangover or whether he's stayed in Germany to work on Power Tower 2 for the winter?

Munchen Looping was quite rough I thought my head was bouncing around quite a lot. Still a good ride though we were on 2nd row

I'm so happy I went on the looping today! (I'm a new enthusiast, only from earlier this season, and only 12 since the 9th December so I was shitting myself looking at it, but my friends got me on) It's definitely not a family ride! My friend managed to pass out, somehow... XXL is my fav flat there, for sure, even though I didn't hangover I don't think it would win. Especially after I got to ride by myself today on a super foggy morning - you can't see past the trees in the park from the fog and being alone makes you go a good 10 mph faster and get WAY more wheightlessness! (I ranted, I know)

BACKSEAT BLACKOUT Shambhala knock off was the most painful experience ever. Made an SLC feel like a B&M
BACKSEAT BLACKOUT I mean I'm usually good with rough rides and haven't had too many problems with Pinfaris in the past but God that thing hurt!

What happened to vlog star monthly?
Mechanica was painful as heck. Either I got a bad ride or I just really don't find that type of ride comfortable.
i find them all rough from Samurai to Mechanica
Coasterfan312 AIR is very comfortable
Luksprs: Me too, but Mechanica is much worse than Samurai (from my experience, at least - I only rode it once then said 'never again').
Cobra Roll Master: Haven't been on it, but I'd assume it looks very similar to how Mechanica runs, so I doubt it. You probably didn't get ridiculously intense spins like I did. Honestly, it felt like it was trying to rip my legs off.

Is it fairly straightforward getting tickets for preview night? Sadly can't make it to London this year but I reckon I'll be there next time. I think for £60 it makes more sense than paying £9 a ride.
