Me and my girlfriend went to Pleasure Beach a couple of months ago and we love the new scene on the Ghost Train with the boiler from Hell. What was awesome was when it produced smoke rings out of the eyes which always gets me in the face lol. It was interesting that they changed the flying skull into a decapitated head as we.
I miss the magnolia restaurant and bar. I used to wave at the rides as they ran through the bars, and use to wave you at the people over the balncony looking down from the restaurant. They also did really yummy food. I wish they would recent a similar attraction, especially something where us old school fans could see the old rides or mechanisms working in a bar atmosphere

I just wanted to let you know, in the vlog during The River Caves, you mention that the music played in the part where the café and Gold Mine used to be that it didn't use to play. It has always been there as far back as I can remember, I just think the music is more noticeable now because there is no noise coming from the café or The Gold Mine. But it has always played even when the café and Gold Mine was above. I am too a classic Blackpool knowledge walking book haha. Have fun and keep up the fabulous videos. Enjoy.

Fingers crossed for a new Mack coaster on the old Tom Sawyer site as it would really revitalise the park. Infusion isn't one of the best rides, but I do wonder if they were to add the newer restraint style if it would make the ride better.

Was here last october. Valhalla was down for me (my fave ride) but got on it once before it broke down at least. As for infusion, it is bad but hailing from Scotland, its not as bad as our main (and pretty much only) rollercoaster, Tornado at M&D's. So bad a part of it was removed, yet still see people coming off covering their ears from the pain.
Can't wait to get back here, I'll be there in late March (was hoping to make it earlier but acting commitments got in the way) and can't wait to get back on Valhalla! On my last day of the season there last year I managed to get on but only got to the top of the first big drop after the ice room when we had an e-stop and evac, so I haven't ridden it fully since when I did it with you guys back in May! (I remember it was running really well that day. Absolute soaker.) Got a free speedypass out of it though which I used on the Monor- erm, Big One which had a stupidly long queue because it was running on one train on a busy day... Blackpool operations for you :P ...I have that Valhalla shirt btw and I think it was about £15.

Took my daughter on the park on the opening day this year. First visit for me for about 20 years and although I was looking forward to the day out with my girl, I was sort of apprehensive knowing that there'd been a lot of changes over the years and I thought it would have killed the parks unique atmosphere. OK, All the characters from the concessions had long gone and the smell of the pink & white stale popcorn opposite the Alice in Wonderland ride had disappeared but I was pleasantly surprised. It was good to see the ride operators and stall holders made up of locals rather than a bunch of dour uninterested Eastern Europeans and it was good to see that the park has retained a lot of it's charm. I take it this was filmed on the Saturday? The Wild Mouse although closed early doors and towards the end of the day was open for several hours, as was the Big One which had big queue's in the afternoon. Also, we were walking off the park at 5:45 and Valhalla was open so we made it our last ride of the day......Not one of my wisest decisions as the two of us soaked & freezing had to walk back to Lytham Road for the car. Spent half my childhood on the Pleasure Beach. We'd arrive in the morning pennyless, spend all day nicking on the rides, fill our stomachs with doughnuts and go home at night with our pockets full of cash.......Great days. Good video by the way. Don't get your enthusiasm for Valhalla but I guess you never went in the Funhouse. It could be the best ride in the World but it'd never replace the Funhouse. My only gripe is what they've done to the iconic Laughing Clown. He's almost hidden away now, surely he deserves a more prominent spot like the old days, and to charge to hear him laugh really is criminal. You used to be able to hear him all over South Shore. Got a pleasant surprise a few days after the visit as well. Because of the slight delay in the morning with the new system, I received an email with a half price voucher for our next visit. Bonus!!!

Lots of smelly feet in the Funhouse where everyone took their shoes off. It no longer exists after being destroyed by fire in the 1990s. I miss the stockingfeet excitement going down the big slide, spinning disc, barrel, cakewalk etc. A new Funhouse should have been built.

Quite a few of underrated dark rides here. River Caves especially is one of my favourite dark rides in the country
