Just started driving for Spark 2 weeks ago first week made $780 with $200 bonus. After driving for DD and UE for over a year spark is killing it. I love the $30+ shop and deliver orders I drive 5 or less mile a trip.
The two walmarts we have here use uber eats to deliver. I gross around $1500-1700 on 40 hours. We have sparks coming to one of our Walmarts the 29th of this month, it sounds like we are about to make less money for more work. If thats the case Ill go back to DD and Roadie until the new Amazon distribution center opens next year.
You are SPOT ON! I have recruited my coworkers and friends. When you have a small break, switch apps, take a mini-lunch break, restroom break, fill up the tank. BAM...TIME TO HIT THE STREETS, MAKE THOSES DELIVERIES, AND GET PAID!
Great video with great explanations of how Spark works and why it's a good option. Thanks, it was very helpful. I just signed up earlier today and am on the waiting list. Hopefully not for long.
I like spark a lot also. And if you have a long wait time at Walmart, the extra effort Pau goes up. I waited about 30 minutes for one order and got an extra $5 just for waiting. You are right about everything you said. The referral bonus is good too, $100 extra for 10 deliveries.
I do online grocery shopping for Walmart and was always curious if it was worth it for my particular drivers. I live in the top floor of a secured apartment in Phoenix (with elevator) and when I shop, I buy all kinds of items (cat litter/soda/water) and I always have to help the driver because so far, nobody has carts and I do. I asked the last driver and she said that she would have to buy one herself...I gave her a decent tip even though I had to help her with all the groceries to my door.
Great Video man. Suggestion for a future video. Make a video that covers the ACCESSORIES that will be useful to a Spark/Gig delivery drivers. Like special bags (hot/cold), special devices to hold your phone for ez reference/directions to point of delivery, special carrying devices (for those 4 cases on the 4th floor water deliveries - nome sayin'), etc. Any wisdom you can share with us will be appreciated.
I've gotten a few walmart orders, but I find more times than not people dont tip, then again it could be because some may have walmart+ which means free shipping.
Yeah I have Walmart’s monthly service and I can only tip when I do a 35 plus grocery order. I’ve tried to find a place on the app to tip people that just bring me one item and there’s no way to do it. I can’t understand why? I feel bad for the driver that’s bringing me one item at nine at night.
enjoy your vibe of absolute JOY in spark.....that being said this was my 1st day logged on to do an order and end it to get the hang of it and my VERY VERY 1st order pickup 12;45 drop by 1;48 going 9 miles 2 orders within a mile or so of each other i MADE $44 for my 1st order omgggggggggggggggggg
Sparks is coming to one of our Walmarts on the 29th of this month. Both our walmarts deliver through Uber eats, the groceries sound about the same. But the batched E-orders as we call it go from 1 up to 14 packages and they pay $5 up to $135.71 which is my largest. Most are $35-90. So sparks pays less for E-orders. Let's hope the grocery deliver pays the same.
I just signed up and am waiting to hear back. I appreciate the info. Do you go to the same Walmart or do you dive to other locations? Another person on you tube mentioned you need to scan something when picking up and delivering and the bags had nothing to scan.
Yes. I have noticed that some days are very inconsistent. And you might only get a few. And several hours might go by without a ping coming at that scheduled time. But, this is where multi app comes to the rescue.
Hello! Question: when the delivery says small, medium or large, does that mean the size of the actual items or quantity? Thank you for your great content! Appreciate it!
Sorry for the late response here. Great question. That size estimate they give is usually in reference to the overall volume size of the order. It can be a little off at times but usually it's a decent metric to follow. But always do a quick once over of the order to make sure. I did a Spark Home Depot pickup that was tagged as X-Large but it was about 10 bags of mulch, which is a lot, but not too much to fit in any 4 door car. Hope this helps and thank you.
Very informative 👏🏾 I just started today and I enjoyed it good exercise lol, my last order was a dotcom batched order & it paid ok 7 stops for $30 but each person had like 1 item 😄 so I took it. My question is I didn't see tips on the batched order is this normal or is it hidden till a later date?
Hopefully I start next week but I have seen people the driver themselves shop in store for the items. It seems they have two ways, one is curbside pick up and the other is shop the order.
Just started with spark. Seems like a good deal. I took a small order at first to make sure I got everything right. 9 items 14.00 for 1 mile. Six items were out of stock and waited 15 minutes past pickup. My question is how can I see the items are out of stock? Will this lady give a bad review because of the out of stock items?
No, that doesn't affect you at all. You take what they give you. Confirm with them that it's the entire order, whatever that may be (substitutions included) and you're off.
Things like out of stock items are none of your concern. It's not like with food delivery where they might ask you to contact the customer for a substitution, etc.
@@dashingwithflash9688 thanks man. Spark seems like a good way to make money. 2 grocery orders with favor 13.00 both with tips. 1 run with 3 items for spark 14.00 easy decision for me. Love your videos. Keep the coming.
Here is my concern. Just like with other platforms, they hire too many people and over saturate the areas. Their app is the absolute worst and every day, there's an issue. I signed up for Spark. We'll see.
The customer has 24 hours to change tip so it wont show in your earnings until the next day. You can still add up all the trip totals to see how much in tips you expect to make.
Great video..I have a question. Say you pick up a Walmart order that is supposed to have 1.2 items. You ask the Walmart associate..if this is everything and they say yes. But someone forgets two items...and only send you out with 10 items instead of 12. What happens then? Do you get looked at as you took those 2 items and can you get fired? Thanks
I just finished up the year with spark. I drove for about 5months. I just did my taxes and DDI takes about a third of your earnings. They take their cut first so you don't see how much they're taking. And when the 1099 form comes you will see the total you earned that includes the cut they took. You have to pay taxes on the whole amount. After the DDI fees and taxes. You walk away with half of whatever you made.
On the spark app FAQ section they say you can write off the DDI fees so you don't pay taxes on those. Just add the amount to your mileage expense and other expenses.

Honestly. If you live in area where the other apps are slow, then yes. Just look at those 20 miles as your "drive to work." If you can get on the app in that suburb then do it. Just make sure you make a day out of it to really make it worth your mileage. Go there with the intent to drive for at least 5-6 hours.
