It's amazing how much that kit, aero package and the wheels change the vibe of the car. When I see a 308, I think its cool and kind of cute in a way. This thing just screams RACECAR! and then again backwards !RACECAR. It's so cool Mike.
I just binge-watched this entire series (to this point, anyway). Words cannot describe how incredibly amazing this is. The hard work, patience, engineering, fabrication, attention to detail....it is all simply astounding, and truly inspiring.
Man, seeing these wheels on is awesome! I'm wondering what the LBW kit would look like in gloss black now with the body in original yellow. Racecar af! Let's go!
I am in love with this! My favourite car ever is the 288 GTO and this coming in right around there. I genuinely get excited when I see a new episode pop up...and I don't get excited about much in life. Thank you for sharing this awesome build with us.
I jumped in around episode 50, watched two episodes, and immediately decided to watch all the episodes from the beginning . To see this project, and you as a RUclipsr, develop over these many many months has been incredible. You're such a skilled craftsman. I'm in awe. Keep at it, We're all here for it
The car looks stunning man, congrats! I don't know about you, but I would have spent the rest of the day just sitting there staring at the thing just taking it all in. You've definitely got a dream car on your hands here. I'm sure this lit a fire under you too though, it would have for me anyway. Still a ton to do, but hopefully not too much to at least let you drive it around town in a few months! Just make sure to tackle the jobs that require the special order parts first, eh? Save yourself some headache down the line! Again, car looks absolutely stunning Mike. I hope I get to see it in person someday!
Not going to lie. I refused to watch this episode in the beginning even though I love your work, the model A and the BMW.... now I have watched every episode of this build and this is now my favorite build to watch. Great eye for detail and an end result, and your patience is something to admire. Great job, the wheels and tires were a homerun
I’ve been watching the series ever since the first episode and seeing the car on the ground after all the struggles, with a stunning wheel setup left me lost for words. Such an amazing build and hands down my favorite on RUclips. I cannot wait to see it all done. Epic job Mike!!
worth stating again. best channel on youtube. no question. this really shows how difficult it is to build a car and how a 15 min montage really does not show you all the details of a full top to bottom build.
I think tears will come out of my eyes when you start and drive this thing for the very first time. You vids make me feel like I am right there making progress with you lol. Been following since Mr. Slamington. Never regretted a minute. Bless
It's really coming together. As a viewer, this episode really paid off. A couple things: 1) I know you had a lot of trials in making the car look this slick, but you should still record it. I'd love to see how it went wrong as the pure joy (for me) is seeing you solve problems. The reason many of us watch is because you have skills we wish we had, and it's nice to see you work. 2) Did I hear you that you're just going to leave the headlights down and not either: a) fill the hole permanently; or b) lengthen the louvre above?
No wonder you're over the moon - this car on that wheels just looks so right! And the way you present it by showing all the amount of work that is needed for getting there is a huge part of what makes me waiting for every next episode. Delicious again!
Yes, yes love the wheels. A simple five spoke, yet it matches up so great. Color is sick too. And if that's the race set, you better deliver with that infamous "show" set because these set the bar pretty high, i'm not sure if the others can top it.
Huge congrats! I love following this build. For a smooth race track the car is already weapons grade. For carving up the canyons, it’ll need a 20mm lift? Do you have plans to do both track and canyons? My 308 gets lifted/lowered 60mm for gravel rally/tarmac track (difference in tyre diameters included; 27” for gravel rally/24,5” for tarmac track). The white on the yellow is a very cool combo. Will you keep that combo theme?
That fitment…….awwwwhhhhhh, perfection! Mike, I remember as it was yesterday, you driving the 308 in to your shop and telling us, it will become a time attack race monster, powered by a K20… the 308 GTK was born….. priceless to see this piece of automotive art!
I've trusted your judgement this entire build since episode 1. Dude you nailed it..those wheels made that Ferrari Complete. I only hope those that you sent off are on par. You are admirable and inspirational. Thanks, Ronnie
This 308 has a new soul, is happy and won’t breakdown…ever. This is absolutely the sickest build I’ve seen yet. I just can’t get over how effin perfect this beast is! 👏
What a journey man !!!!! been following this for 12 months and must say what a rewarding sight to see the car on its wheels well done cant wait to see it moving under its own power.
Absolutely blown away how good it looks actually sitting on the floor now! It looked good on stands… but damn!! I’m soooo glad you went with a flat face 5 spoke, I can’t imagine it on anything else. INCREDIBLE WORK as I come to expect with every video.
Beautiful car. Congratulations. You've come a long way. But, PLEASE, put a full roll cage in this amazing machine. You had your brush with mortality so, so recently. Don't forget that lesson, or look away from the danger of the track environment. Prepare. Then get it out and thrash it, hard, and enjoy every minute. All the best to you, Mike.
Lost my mind when I saw that thumbnail! Holy s*** this thing is looking good! What a machine and what a testament to all of your hard work. Well done sir
A solid second choice for wheels, I don't know what your first choice was, but given the glory of the rest of the car, I imagine they were a nanometer from perfection. I hope to see them in the future. These builds you've shared have really given me an immense thrill. The way you design and all your talent are special in a world full of greatness.
I genuinely cannot believe how happy i am to see the wheels and the car finally back on the ground, i couldn't even imagine how you feel right now. These look absolutely perfect Well done dude.
The only way to really understand engineering is by building and seeing the formulas and mathematics being applied. Thanks from your friends in Australia 🇦🇺!
Dude, it looks so sick! Awesome decision on the Rotiforms. They look very era-appropriate without looking cheesy or blocky, which is so tough to do when you're talking about the 80's. Keep up the awesome work, Mike. You're killin' it.
Been watching since the beginning, will watch until the end. I think this build is what every guy building a car in his garage aspires to achieve someday. No stone left unturned, no detail too small. You are crushing it my man.
Been following the build for a while on RUclips and Instagram . This moment is nothing short of breathtaking! Congrats on all the progress so far and best of luck with the rest of the build!
I believe you could be on to something very interesting with the 10" wide front rims. That paired with your own super-strong A-arms design&geometry, is extremely exciting to take part in. I can't wait to hear your inputs from your trials. 🏆👏
Stumbled on your channel about 2 days ago and I can't wait to properly watch all your videos. I appreciate the build effort and how you narrate the parts acquired or what you modify yourself. It's like we're building these cars with you. I would definitely buy any instruction manual you wrote
For your lighting solution, I know there are a couple guys who run in the GLTC class that use a combo of both spot and flood LED pods that have had good night vision results on track. The spots will illuminate a good ways in front of the car, and the floods will aid with visually acquiring the apex after turn in and the braking and acceleration points
having the same perception that a set of wheels could make or break a car and knowing that you'll always pick the right wheels kept me away from being dissatisfied even though it is your build and not mine. Always love your taste! keep up the great work Mike.
Car looks absolutely bang on and I like the fact the car wizard mentioned you for donating the AC compressor for his ferrari.well done fella you should be proud of this build.
I think a Ferrari red paint job would make this race car a more distinguished Ferrari look and a nod to the classic car with a custom touch. Awesome work!
Bang on fitment. Seeing the wheels in this colour, yellow is truly the way to go for the widebody. It would contrast weirdly with if the widebody were black. Carbon hood and spoiler provide the perfect extra flair to the whole thing. And this era of cars just works so well with a fat 5 spoke wheel.
So I’m a 308gt4 owner - longtime fan and been following the whole build. The frame on 308s are actually pretty rigid, which is why it’s so heavy. You’ve taken some out but im not entirely sure this will be so floppy. My car rolled in the 80s and thou it may have landed softly- none of the windows broke. I have pics. You also have the gtb which is way more stiff than a gts. Maybe a couple bars along the interior roof would be okay but you have to choose if this is a race car or street car. Maybe a removable cross braces where you cut would help.
Congrats!!! The wheels look great. The car looks really good. I knew you were keeping the headlights and the grills. They look great and the lights in the front will give it a clean look. Congrats for getting this far.
I can’t tell you how incredibly awesome I think this car is. I can’t wait to see it all done. I’m glad that you’ve kept true to your vision. Thanks Mike.
I love that you have Trent Palmer's videos playing in the background. I love that this car is punk rock, sticking up the middle finger to the stodgy Ferrari Elitist snobs and doing what you want in your own way.
I've been following your build since the very beginning. I feel as invested in your project as I am in my own. It certainly inspires me to keep going. I completely relate to the endless pursuit of doing things right and the incredible attention to detail.
For your scavenge pump ( I need to review the layout in past videos) if you decide to go with a divorced system using one pump for oil supply and return, suggest using your pwm output to regulate the pump feed. I have run pressure regulators in the past, but a sensor and pwm signal makes the pump run less overall. Otherwise, if you are tying it into the dry sump, a turbo sump and a simple line back to the suction side should work well! Review 996/977 designs, they have a vent tube I believe on the turbo sumps as well, in order to minimize high suction to the bearings themselves within the CHRA.
You, this channel and this car are easily one of the best on RUclips, the detail, camera work, so much better than most. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see it finished!
Man. It looks ridiculously awesome. Going through all this work and struggles building the suspension from the ground up has defnitely paid off. So happy for you to see this thing on the ground.
Dude, I've been following this build since pretty much the beginning and I'm honestly excited for you. It looks simply amazing. I honestly can't wait to see the first drive video.
Really happy for you, man. I've been watching forever and have watched you do and redo so many times. It seemed all to wait for this very moment. My only ask. Please, please, please paint that body kit.
It's amazing how much that kit, aero package and the wheels change the vibe of the car. When I see a 308, I think its cool and kind of cute in a way. This thing just screams RACECAR! and then again backwards !RACECAR. It's so cool Mike.
damn I never knew racecar was same when written backwards

Never expected to see my favorite WT RUclipsr watching a StanceWorks video! Hiya Odd! Absolutely love your work! And the wheels look AMAZING!!

That's the only thing going through my mind looking at it. I genuinely think a yellow car with at least black flares would be beyond sexy

This, is the first car video my newborn baby sees. What a way to start. Good job as always 🥰💯👌
Thank you!
Ironically it took less time to grow the baby than it took this car to get wheels. Congratulations!
Looking absolutely amazing. Definitely worth the time to stop, sit back and appreciate the work you have done to this point.
I am in love with this! My favourite car ever is the 288 GTO and this coming in right around there.

Thanks for sharing your excitement with me!

I agree, I have a 288 GTO model next to me all day at work, and this car looks just as good to me. Love it!

7:46 is a poster moment. The raw beauty of this car is stunning, and knowing what it took to get here only adds to it. Great Job!
I really hope he does make some posters of this thing once it's finished, it's gonna be gorgeous
The car looks stunning man, congrats! I don't know about you, but I would have spent the rest of the day just sitting there staring at the thing just taking it all in. You've definitely got a dream car on your hands here.

This is so cool. Honestly these wheels seem like a sweet marriage of the Speedline wheels on the F50 GT and the Regamaster Evos so popular on Hondas.

Yea those are amazing looking rimms, they look great on many cars, also on Porches.
Rool cage and recaro seats plus 6 points harness is a MUST

I feel such a part of this build. I've thoroughly enjoyed watching it come together. It's great to see it on the ground! Tire+Wheels are perfect!
Congrats on making it to this stage Mike. It looks great on the wheels.
