Honestly I love them both. I think the Advans look sick and really make the wide body kit come alive. It just seems natural. On the other hand, the white Rotiforms with the white car and plenty of black/carbon trim looks super clean and yes, does honor the f40. Both good options. Wish we could see the full set of Advans to compare but with that body kit and aero package anything deep dish is going to look good.
The Rotiforms look SOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER! As much as I like deep chrome lips, you can’t beat the all white rims or the spoke design on this build. Three spokes belong on Kei cars IMO.

You should run the Rot's for now and test out your suspension design on the track. If you find that there needs to be modification to the suspension you can redesign with the other wheels in mind, that is if they ever send you the fronts. I like your idea of just sticking with the Rot's for now and maybe you can design your own wheels at a later date.
Those center lock Renault's looked stunning. I gives such an unexpected rally car look. And I'll chime in and say the three spoke looked like ass. Can't wait to see what you eventually land on.
I am 37(I was a minitruckin kid) so I grew up on 3 spokes and billet.....it's sick. Too bad they won't clear.....100%correct about how polarized the comments are. I get the same hate for still running 10 wide 15" polished prime 3 spokes, and fat white letter tires on a S10. I have 20 year old billet wheels on my 72 Chevelle, any vintage wheels get me excited. All the way back to craigars and slotted mags....doesn't matter. When you first showed them I immediately went back to being 15, playing Gran Turismo 2, and putting those Advan on everything....thanks for trying.
I audibly gasped with excitement when you revealed the Advans! The whole time you were discussing wheel choice all I kept thinking was Super Advan V1’s. The Onis are perfect.
Honestly, it is Your car Mike, you do you, I'm just glad I got to be part of this build as a subscriber. I like the Rotiforms best, and you local sourced them. Support your local businesses I say.

@@ismailrichards6905 I dont think every Tom dick and Harry is driving a project like this though. A 5 spoke on this is hardly the same as a 5 spoke on a luke warm hatch with a scaffold pole exhaust.
Hey Mike, The only thing that might give a little more space is take a part the 2 piece rotors and push the rotor and calliper inwards, make new centers and match this with a new calliper mounting bracket, though i would be surprised if there is more than 10mm between the disk and knuckle.
TBH, I'm kinda glad you can't use them, I'm not a fan, three spoke wheels look weird IMO, but man, you do you, this is an awesome project and I still wish you get this wheel issue fixed.
I was definitely not expecting the 3-spoke wheels! Even though I think I prefer the 5-spoke in the car's current form, the 3's would have been a very interesing look, fitting of the general build. My favorites will probably always be the Ronals haha. Those are mighty pretty. Magnificent build!
Mick we all Appreciate and Respect the fact that your totally OCD about detail, but just reading all the comments with regard to the Rotaform Wheels that you have already fitted. Leave well alone mate it looks Perfect, your've arrived.
I wasnt sure about the 3 spokes until you fitted one, it did look sick and i can see your vision! would be cool to mount a tyre to see the finished look. The roti’s are okay, they do the job and from a racecar perspective theyre spot on, but you’re doing the right thing going for something a bit cooler and different 🤘🏼
Sometimes the universe tries to tell you something. I think in this case, all the delays and mis-fits are telling you these Advan wheels aren’t it. I think the Rotoforms look amazing, even if they’re “expected”.
Your wheel choices are really good. I cant choose to be honest. Both wheels are fantastic and classic at the same time. Good luck with future projects.
For someone that said the wheels must match the contour of the car design elements, these wheels are a special case. But, I don't know what do you see in them! I never liked them at all. And in my opinion, it doesn't match the car aesthetics.
Was never into oni's but they looked dope on the car. Really enjoyed listening to your well thought out opinions and ideas on the wheel topic, excited to see your final setup mounted and this car getting dialed in with some track time.
I absolutely love the advan onis! The advan super SA3r is probably my favorite wheel design of all time, sticking with the 3 spoke designs but dual 3 spokes. If you plan on paying tribute to the oni's, I can not wait to see what you come up with. I'm very excited to see where it goes from here.
Watched this build the whole way through, never commented, the Oni's are beyond stunning, such an inspired choice. Personally I'd walk back through the gates of Hell, redesign the suspension again and get those beauties sorted, good Lord is that a look. As it sits the Rotiforms make it look like a Hoonigan build, appealing to many, safe. You gotta have some background knowledge to truly appreciate the Oni's, that's a conversation in itself, an entire video could be dedicated to the history of those wheels and the cars that ran them, educate these fools! Anyone wanna render the Advan livery onto this gem and melt hearts?
I like the 5 spoke Rotiforms, back in the day many if not most race cars were running 5 spoke Dymags made in the UK, the 5 spokes are very much of the era when you saw 308/328s lining up for a road race or a rally.
I kind of expected something polarizing from you and I think you nailed it!! Those three spokes are so iconic JDM and I've always had a love hate relationship with them, and I think they fit this build perfectly! Way to go, Mike!
Mike, Love your style and totally get wanting to have era correct rims. I spent 3 years looking for late 80’s BBS in silver for my 89 911. I could find gold ones pretty easy but silver was what I was going for as the car is white with a dark blue convertible top. Keep after it and don’t settle.
Love the idea of making your own wheels with Rotiform. They helped out with the wheels when you were in a pinch so I’m glad they’ll be used going forward.
I think the Advans (or something similar, now that you know they can’t work) would look awesome. It’s not a design that probably ever would have crossed my mind for that car - but that’s why you make a living at this and I watch your videos. Keep up the great work, Mike!
I want to see these Three spike JDM Oni inspired wheels fully done before I make a judgement. I will say this, the white Rotiforms go PERFECT on this car. You have the amazing wheels on them.
Well your right about the 3 spoke. I am mortified. Honesty is my strong suit. The TE wheels are by far the best looking wheel for your application and when it comes to track duty the TE wheels can be trusted not to fail under extreme loads.
Man I'm so sorry to hear about whats been going on with the Advan's. Must be insanely frustrating. Would've loved to see them fitted, but I'm also looking forward to seeing what you and Rotiform are gonna come up with.
My dude! I did really love the wheels that you took off the f-truck, even the white rotos but i have to agree with you on this, those 3 spokes are absolutely the right choice
I’m a huge fan of the super Advans so these hit a sweet spot for me. Sucks at how badly this company screwed you over. Absolutely should pursue the custom Rotiform wheels. They really set the build apart. While the 5 spokes look great, it feels no different than showing up with LMs or TE37s.
Really cool that you're still taking a swing on getting the end result you had in mind, you being you I'd expect nothing else. I've got a hard time picturing anything other than the Rotiforms on it now, there's something about white on white that works on this car in a way I've never felt before.
Mike, The Three spoke wheels are intense. The original centers have serious character. I see some options available to you to get them on the car. I think the first thing is to reduce the profile of the nuts on the inside of the wheel. It involves a complete new set of recessed shoulder nuts. Net gain will be about 3/8 of inch (9.3mm) on the inside rim. Then the really hard part custom offset rotor centers. Four centers, two front, two back. But you would still have to decide if you want to change the Dish depth on the wheel to retain the width you want. Anything (almost) can be engineered. I hope you come up with a solution that makes YOU happy.
I didn't hate the 3 spoke Advans but glad you're not going to go through all the compromises/hacks needed to get them to fit. The 5 spokes look amazing.
I have a suggested use for your Advans beside "expensive paper weights". I tried that, the rims take up too much desk space. :-) I bought four wheels in a six "double-spoke" pattern for my Benz. Looked fabulous but didn't work. I ordered the correct 5x112 spoke pattern but didn't realize I was sent 5x114.3. Bolted them on but never ran true, no surprises there. Shortly afterward I replaced them with correct 5x112 and the ride was vibration free. I used the "old" rims as an air-hose holder in my garage and three other friends garages. I cut a round 1" thick piece of wood bolted to the hub, screwed a short 4x4 to the round piece and it was cut long enough to extend past the back of the rim then lag bolted a 2x4 about 20" long to the 4x4. That 2x4 could then be screwed to the studs in the wall. VERY good looking air hose holder and quite strong!
I agree with your solution, get a tribute with the safety of properly sized wheel. You can always have two sets, one for the track (the 5 spokes) and one for the streets (the 3 spokes)
So true. My e36 luckily came with Style23's. MY RiM choice (if i could afford rims) would be Factory+ SuperSized. MONOblock AMG RiMs is my all-time favorite
I feel your pain. Two wheel makers wasted two years of my life making promises they couldn't keep. I like the three-spoke wheels a lot, but the Rotis would be better, imo, in the cast gray than the white. For me, they distract from that lovely body rather than complement it. Great car and I appreciate your effort to build it and to share it with us here.
I love the look of the car with either set on, the Rotiforms have a more track focused, purposeful look while the Onis have a classic street style racer look. Both are fabulous, love the idea of having something different on a Ferrari like the trispokes though!
I’ve ALWAYS hated three spoke wheels but I see where you were going. Bummer they didn’t work out. I love the white wheels in the car but white speedlines on a Ferrari are a favorite of mine.
I'm in love with the ROHs in white, they look sooooo good. I'm biased though, cos I love a 5-spoke and really want a set of them for my car one day. Can see that the Advans would work though, and am super interested in seeing what you come up with. In the end it's gotta be what you want, regardless of how crazy some of your subs are 😆 Great thing is, you can have one set for track and one set for street/show 😎
Honestly at first I wasn’t sure but you definitely made the right call with the advans. I think it looks good with the rotos but it’s probably just because you unveiled the car with them. That’s what’s keeping people from liking the advans more. Both undoubtedly look sick
I just spent the last couple of weeks watching this entire build series and I've really enjoyed it. You've made me buy a few tools though... Looking forward to the next Ferrari videos. I'm not keen on those three spokes either btw.
I'll be the guy on the opposite side of the crowd. The Adivans would have looked incredible. Shame they didn't work. Although the Rotiforms are spectacular too, the Adivans were just that much more special. Hope you can make something custom that works! good luck! The whole build just looks amazing.
Always hated 3 spokes myself, but would never hold it against anyone running them, its good that people have different tastes. I love how the Rotiforms look.
I definitely understand the frustration with dealing with custom made car parts. I have been fighting a company to make me custom titanium brake parts for a year now. Then the year before that a carbon fiber manufacture. Keep up the good work and content!

Those advans have always been a huge favorite!! The rotiforms are incredible too. They suit the car well
I think the Advans (or something similar, now that you know they can’t work) would look awesome.
I love the wheels that are on it now, but the 3 spoke is not bad either
Yep, mortified. sorry. Love the 5 spokes you have now. Not a fan of the advans. Your car though so your choice! :)
Rotoforms look way better...
Love the three spoke! It’s very rare and unique. Ronals my fav but rotiforms are sick too!
I'm so glad they don't fit.
I didn't hate the 3 spoke Advans but glad you're not going to go through all the compromises/hacks needed to get them to fit. The 5 spokes look amazing.
You asked for opinions... NOPE! I didn't like 'em then, and definitely not on this build. 😱😱😱
Wow...This is garbage. The current ones are much better.
I agree with your solution, get a tribute with the safety of properly sized wheel.
You can always have two sets, one for the track (the 5 spokes) and one for the streets (the 3 spokes)
You made the Right decision..Rotiform wheels look so much better.. Simple and gives the car that F40 that your Chasing...Good Job..👍🏽🏁
So true. My e36 luckily came with Style23's. MY RiM choice (if i could afford rims) would be Factory+ SuperSized. MONOblock AMG RiMs is my all-time favorite
I normally don't like 3 spokes but man, they do give the car a new vibe 🔥
I didn’t see what you were on about with the Oni’s… but once I saw the test fit I was like woah. You have some serious vision, man. They’re dope.
I've loved every step of this build but man I'm speechless. It sucks it didn't work out because those Advans looked amazing.
I love the look of the car with either set on, the Rotiforms have a more track focused, purposeful look while the Onis have a classic street style racer look. Both are fabulous, love the idea of having something different on a Ferrari like the trispokes though!
At first sight I thought No Way! When mocked up I totally fell in love, absolutely awesome design. I hope they can be used and not wasted.💯🙌
Both wheels look great, I’m just glad you came around on making the wide-body kit a different color!! 🙏🏻
I’ve ALWAYS hated three spoke wheels but I see where you were going. Bummer they didn’t work out.
I love the white wheels in the car but white speedlines on a Ferrari are a favorite of mine.
In my opinion you ended up with the right wheels they look great 👍🏻 🏁
I like the Advans, they’re rad but the beautiful Rotiforms in white just pop so well and make the car look super track-spec.
I see you with those Advans! Most won’t like that style but going for that JDM Ferrari look would be perfect!
I'm in love with the ROHs in white, they look sooooo good. I'm biased though, cos I love a 5-spoke and really want a set of them for my car one day.
Can see that the Advans would work though, and am super interested in seeing what you come up with. In the end it's gotta be what you want, regardless of how crazy some of your subs are 😆
Great thing is, you can have one set for track and one set for street/show 😎
ROC-H wheels for me, they look spot on. I'm not a fan of tri spoke wheels, they look tacky for some reason. But it's your car
Personally, I love the rotiforms!! They look amazing and I'm not a fan of three spike wheels. And the white in white is 🔥🔥!!
Honestly at first I wasn’t sure but you definitely made the right call with the advans. I think it looks good with the rotos but it’s probably just because you unveiled the car with them. That’s what’s keeping people from liking the advans more. Both undoubtedly look sick
I love the Advans, I think its unique and being polarizing isn't always a bad thing.
The 3-spoke reminds me of my Ducati 916 - true 90’s vibe..👌🇮🇹🤓😊
Love your work and enjoy every change and your thoughts in doing so.!😄
LoL Advan Oni are most definitely one of those "love them or hate them" wheel designs 😂😂
I've always loved them.
They look awesome on the 244gt ☺️☺️
