All these comments saying this car is ugly? I think it looks great, very reminiscent of the 250 lm… New era of Ferrari. Sure it had a v6 and sounds muffled, that’s the unfortunate future of internal combustion engines. I’m sure it will sound great with an aftermarket exhaust! Great video.

@@minimead368 this car is beautiful , sure they can refine the nose, rear lights in the facelift or wtv. But it is genuinely striking and elegant. People are quick to dismiss any new change, " camaro, ford GT " but looking away at a fresher retro modern effort. BMW tried it and failed with no proportionate care or flow.

    • @minimead368

@@aviator-kn8zq that Front grill it’s far too wide, with nothing to break it up it just looks like a shark that’s lost all it’s teeth. The light bar at the front seems to be an after thought, highlighting a feature that doesn’t fit with the design aesthetic, i’m lost as to why they coloured the top of the mirror red when they’ve gone with a canopy style cockpit, it makes the mirror stand out a mile as it breaks the blackness of the glass with this huge red square shape and then to highlight it even more they put a black bottom to it which makes it stand out from the red coloured panel, I wouldn’t have minded if they’d made the mirror elegant but it’s just a square blob with no finesse. I do you like the rear arch but they designed it to flow into this awkward backend So this beautiful round arch on its downward curve suddenly flicks up into this square spoiler making it just awkward to look at. The back lights look like a pair of ray bands, and the shape of the exhaust pipe just does not fit with the curvature of the backend. The engine cover from the top down view makes the rear end look really wide and disproportionate from the rest of the car.

Love that they are finally quoting and agreeing that lightweight options make a massive difference to the kerb weight. This has been true since the F430 and can dramatically change the whole nature of the car. With intelligent spec choices you will no doubt be able to get to the weight figure of the inevitable limited edition version and avoid the need for all the unpleasantness of ‘getting on the hallowed list’.

Ngl, I'm not the biggest Ferrari fan, but I will admit that this has left me impressed. I can't wait to see how it stacks up in the competition in regards to new designs with V6 engine formats. Also, I don't know what's going on at Ferrari, but I feel like some of the front end designs could use a bit of work. It's definitely not it's best angle.

@@ariefghani2380 Yes and V6. I've had considerable seat time in a Ferrari 812, Ferrari FF and R35 GTR for comparison. A V6 is fine but not exotic and the experience can be had many places and for less, like the GTR (lets say 911 Turbo or MC20 today). The 812 feels extremely exotic and special. The engine is the centerpiece and a masterpiece. Rev happy, symphonic. That's Ferrari - In my opinion at least.
edit: also driven the 720s. I'm not against the modern turbo trend, but at least go small displacement V8.

Ferrari styling is kind of bland now. Their pinnacle was the 80s and was still making good designs up to mid 2010s. Either that or styling on regular cars have catched up. Exotics have to step up even more.

exhaust note? wait till you have an electrical gremlin. I get its a hybrid but its still a Ferrari. The Ferrari 348 is the single Biggest Bang for the Buck in Ferrari and exotic sports cars. Wait till you have an electrical gremlin with the 296. In Ferrari sports cars. Jeremy Clarkson declared the 355 “the greatest car in the world, ever.” But Less is More with the completely analog 348 as it doesn’t have the brass valve guide and/or electronic suspension issues the 355 has. Older is Easier as the 348 is the best “purely analog” Ferrari ever made according to Hoovies Garage, the Smoking Tire, Jay Emm, etc as the 348 comes without modern day features that actually detract from the experience of driving a Ferrari. Why drive a “fast” car “slow” when you can drive a slower car fast? Lastly, the 348’s 8,500 rpm flat plane crank shaft generates an Formula 1 exhaust note as F1 cars also use flat plane cranks to lower their center of gravity. Every car has an exhaust note-why isn’t anyone commenting on the lack of a distinctive exhaust note on the 296?
