    As someone currently working through Vandruff's perspective video series, it made me absolutely giddy to stumble across this and see that he's still teaching these skills to new people after all these years. Almost didn't recognise him, if not for that distinctive voice!

      allluckyseven Yeah, it's a good format. One can give an insight the other may have missed. Having more than one expert give you a critique gets you better that much faster.

    Hi Proko!
    Excellent anatomy drawing critiques! This is the first I watch, and I'm taking a lot from it.
    Thanks! And keep posting more of these, they're really helpful!
    Have a good one!

    I learned to draw the angles of ellipses through the perspective of squares because i realized squares looked different when they were rotated or viewed from different perspectives. So when i moved onto cylinders i found that it was the same but also a little different

    3:07 On that subject, where and how do you recommend learning to control Photoshop so that it's as god as when you use papper and the further your learnning to do stuff like textures and advanced digital tricks? but most importantly the former, where's a good place to practice digital boxes and wedges on digital, until you're comfortable enough to do this exercises digitally?

      @@tatianesantiago639 yes we do. It just shows. You have no idea how bad the drawings are, for someone with a trained eye.
      I got 30 eyecancer operations joining a lot of art discord channels over time.

    So the core shadow was a little off; but nitpicking is the best complement a critic can give when they're satisfied with what they see. I'm just a bit miffed that they stopped talking about the joints to talk about shading. I would have loved to hear them elaborate on what the artist did right near the end of the video compared to the previous submissions.

    hi, i know this doesn't have anything to do with this video, but, could we apply the "bean" or the robo bean for a 2 minute gesture drawing? or is this something we should only do for a full drawing, i hope someone can help me and, nice videos, i love them

    • @meticulous_mot
      @meticulous_mot 3 года назад

      I know it's been 5 years, but Stan actually heavily recommends in his figure drawing course that as you learn those techniques, you should apply them in your figure drawing if they help you. I think for full pieces he'd actually advise against using beans and lean more toward mannequinization

      Oh yay! Someone else asked the same question. That thing is pretty cool. It may be a Cintiq hig-dev pen display. But, the largest they make those is 27". And this looks much larger. Not sure if it is indeed as big as it appears or if it's the perspective from camera that's making it look so much larger.
