It's because 1 is clickbait for views and the other relies on overloading C nerve fibers that result in the temporary reduction in the pain that is felt by the person. Also temporary physiologic changes allow the body to gain an increased range of motion.

    • @stanbarkworth6198
      @stanbarkworth6198 2 года назад +2

Because it only works if you work. Take me for example, my ROM and power on squats went down so I had my tight calf’s and hamstrings worked by my usual guy the other day. I stretched and foam rolled before and after workout and during said workout it allowed me to correct form/work on the heavy weight with better form and control therefore taking stress off diff areas. You have to put in the work correctly in order to continuously get better with physio.

Because the real life chiropractors are selling you snake oil.
The RUclips chiro's - don't need to sell you a service. Watching them do snake oil applications to someone else and getting paid for views does it for them. That's why they don't need repeat customers.

Hi I'm from England. I had acl full reconstruction surgery 2013 using my hamstring. I feel my that my tightness is at a 9. I'm really struggling with it. I struggle to stand up straight, walk run and any other basic movements. My leg feels like it's been pulled out of its position at the hip. I've tried everything the physio asked but I can't do them... any advice ? Thanks

I am so sorry that you have chronic hamstrings tightness. Muscle tightness is usually cause by scar tissue and fascia restrictions. It is very typical after surgery that your body build up excessive scar tissue and your fascia get tight. This what cause muscle tightness. Stretches or exercises will not break scar tissue or release fascia restrictions, you will need ASTR tools to do that.
Did you know that more than 95% of ASTR muscle tightness patients do home treatment with our patient tool kit and online home treatment program?
Here is my protocol for muscle tightness:
      - Mild Pain Package: pain level 0-3/10

Do you train your hamstring, glutes and lower back?...
If anything in your body is compromised, the body will compensate with other muscle groups... It might that the body is recruiting weak muscles that aren't meant for that extended level of pressure.
It would great help if you start lifting light and work your way to medium weights, correcting your posture etc.
But I'm not sure what your history is

Going deeper and apply more pressure or discomfort does not automatically mean the treatment is more effective. Sometimes using soft myofascail gliding techniques can go a long way. If the patient is extremely uncomfortable, it can trigger a negative nervous system response at make it harder for the patient to relax etc.

stretch your hamstring form a chair seatead position, you just need to sit tall on a chair, lenghten your legs in front of your, but with the knees bend a bit, after that try to reach with your both hands your feet. You are going to stretch the hamstring by doing that, and by doing so the lower back is lenghten too. After you stretch and get all the range of motion back, train your glutes.

Probably has a lot to do with youtube policies as well. Many of us end up in less clothes at the doctor - though they also keep our medical offices VERY cold (not sure if they do the same in europe) to control germ populations but the health center i work at is kept at 65-68 degrees. Not really no-clothes temps for us!

Incredible... I mean, incredible marketing. You trying to discredit every other technique by doing massage with a plastic tool! After watching the video I almost feel like I am nobody without your plastic tools...

Based on several systematic reviews studies massage is either provide short-term pain reduction or no pain reductions. ASTR treatment model is supported by over 45 studies that shows long-term pain relief. ASTR is not massage plastic tools.
ASTR is a Biopsychosocial model that treats pain at its source. ASTR tools gently break down scar tissue and fascia restriction, while reducing the inflammation that often causes chronic pain. ASTR treatment addresses proper nutrition, inflammation, laboratory testing, posture, body mechanics, ergonomics, lifestyle changes and exercises.
