    Hi ! Hi!...... 1) The mountain condition surrounding Preikestolen is still ok for the ordinary person to hike in Late-Oct ? 2 ) Has any public transport between Stavanger and Preikestolen in Late-Oct ? Many Thanks !

      @XploreNorway  Год назад

      1) It depends on the year and day, but since it is located a warm place of Norway, there should not be snow yet.
      2) I think the direct busses have stopped then, so you will have to hike from the nearest public bus stop on the main road. Or take a taxi from Jørpeland.

    I like to visit in february 2024. It is open at this season?

      There is no open or closed, it's nature. It's just not recommended, because of ice and snow. If you want to go there in february, I would go with a guided tour, which will provide you if the nessecary equipement.

    Very nice video. On our list for next summer.
    Question: what do you use to make the path animation on the map?
    Thanks

    • @XploreNorway
      @XploreNorway  8 месяцев назад +1

      I use Google Earth Pro (the program, not web version) together witha GPX track I recorded on the hike. To get the correct animation, you need to tune the parameters, outside their legal range. Then I capture the output with OBS.
      If you are looking for a similar hike with 100 times less people in the same area, try this one: ruclips.net/video/lm0Vx50YBu4/видео.html

      Hello, it's totally safe to it in september. Unless there is fog or heavy rain, but with these kind of weather you should not do it.

    Would I avoid the crowds if I start the hike about 4 or 5 pm? Going in two weeks in June

      If you go on a weekday, except for the last weeks of July, you can go anytime you want. But you can do the evening hike, I mean it's day until 23:00

    Saying that no one have fallen from Preikestolen is wrong. You should do your research

      I was told not to talk about that topic, like all Norwegian medias have to do. Write me an email, or DM on FB/Insta if you want to know more.

    Hallo, wir haben auch den Aufstieg zum Preikestolen gemacht und möchten ergänzen, dass wir in unserem Alter (nahe 70) den Weg nicht in 1,5 Stunden absolvieren konnten. Wir empfanden den Weg als schwierig, und nur schwer zu bewältigen, da die Treppenstufen aus Naturstein ein schnelles Vorankommen nicht zu ließen. Zudem sind dort ständig so viele Menschen unterwegs, dass es in engen Passagen ständig zu Wartezeiten kommt. Ja, der Ausblick ist beeindruckend, die Sicherheitsmaßnahme eine Katastrophe und fehlenden Warnschilder zu Beginn des Weges unverantwortlich. Das führt dazu, dass auch Eltern mit Kleinkindern auf dem Arm diesen Weg wagen, der NICHT ohne ist. Ihr solltet also nicht nur aus Eurer Sicht die Frage stellen, Lohnt sich der Aufstieg oder nicht. Ansonsten aber ein klasse Video.

    Oh - so you didn't do the "fall of trust"? I see. You stand on the edge facing the abyss, close you eyes, jump up while rotating 180 degrees (to turn your back to the cliff) and fell forward with your arms extended (ALL WHILE YOUR EYES ARE CLOSED) to fell back onto the platteau. You are allowed to open your eyes after you've started falling so you can see where you put your hands in order to no break them.
