The rum factory was interesting. Our cruise excursion in Puerta Plata was followed by an armed officer. We did a couple aid type excursions on the short lived Carnival off shoot that were rewarding, paper recycling and teaching English to children. We will be in port next week, the pool is nice, just saying.
The waterfall shown is a 3 hour ride away....so is misleading. Also some Beaches shown are from a different area.... another misleading information. Believe me...I live here since 30 years
