Re watching this older vlog of yours to see the ghost train after your Barry vlog saying its going there, I also notice Lisa goes on your older vlogs more than your new vlogs 😁😁😁
Twister, was on the left hand side when you went in, back in '76 '77. And we rode the life out of it! When you wondered what was inside this pier....some of my happiest memories, mate! Thanks for the look inside/back.
Just on a geography point. If you head out of Walton “that way” you need to get through the rest of north Essex, then, Suffolk, then Norfolk before you get to Lincolnshire. I used to go to Walton Pier in the 70s as a child. Great memories of the rides. Especially the helicopters- long since gone. Nice vid.
First time I rode the Walton ghost train was 60 years ago, it was called the Roller Ghoster back then and the pier was mostly open air, changed alot since then.
A big thank you for doing this Blog and also the one from Clacton. The twist has spent the past couple of years just up the road from you at Keith Emmetts being rebuilt. The twist had spent most of its life on Walton Pier were the Dodgems are now. Orginaly the Dodgems were a very large track on the right hand side of the pier next was a set of gallopers which were replaced with the newer set around 8 years ago. The original set is now owned by the Horton Family. The open picnic area next to the Ghostrain has had a Super Bowl which is now Bagnalls, a Maxwell Flying Coaster which had two hills, there's also been alighting paratrooper, and the Blizzard Rollercoaster now owned by Monty Hammond.
I used to holiday there every year, with my parents from the early 1960s and into the 70s. Pirate radio stations, Radio Caroline and Radio London were moored just off the coast of Walton. We loved to listen to what was then, an illegal station. When the whether got bad, the Walton life boat often had to go out the them the carry out rescues.
Roughly 10 years ago the Pier was home to the Blizzard roller Coaster and also had a superbowl flat ride on there, that was in the days before they extended the roof as the Ghost Train was out side.
To Andy and lisa Andy your vlogs are amazing. You are an professional at RUclips vloggs. Lisa makes your vlogs super special. I hope your future is bright. And you are fantastic friends.
Lots of old classic rides and the ghost train was fun ! It was cold and windy on the end of the pier but we took some stunning pictures of the sun setting
The old Twister looks awesome. Those type were actually known as Scramblers and there is one at New Brighton which is the best ride there IMO. The one at New Brighton was the one that used to be at BPB.
Hackney Bird I couldn’t see a beach, probably because the tide was in, this was and still is the only time I have been to Walton but will be going back this year
Go there 5 times a year . Family live there , my aunt works there used to be the best place ever for us but since they have got a new manager and owner there is lack of rides /arcades more. Money for less things to do . Don't really recommend it anymore my Nan has a hut by the beach lovely view though
relly nice....Think You should do a Vlog of Bottons Pleasure Beach in Skegness or one of the Butlins hehe, there is a really nice funFair in Mablethorpe. and there is a Funfair coming to coventry, Warwickshire soon for easter
James Manders - Theme Parks And Attractions a few people have said I should make a visit to Ocean Park but South Shields is a 4 hour 247mile drive away from us

Cracking vlog Andy. Always nice to see these classic rides.
My grandparents took me here on the weekends and it was my favourite place in the whole world 💕
It all looked a lot bigger to me then 😂
My dad used to take me here a lot. I miss home 😭
There used to be a small roller costed just outside the back doors bur they've removed it. Not sure when. I now live in derby unfortunately.
Was in the 70's

They have concerts at the end of the pier in summer where all the picknick tables are just out the ghost train entrance x

You missed a great waltzer. The last time I was there the ride staff even greased the track the waltzer car spins on. It was ridiculously fast👍
They wouldn’t let me on the trampolines :(
