here's a top tip; don't ride your fancy mtb to school. i did and it got stolen in one month, never got it back (it had a decent cable lock on it.). have a nice bike for actual mountains, have a crap old bike for commuting. i speak from bad experiences.
There are so many things that anger me in this video. The fact that Lincoln has a giant trance for riding to school. The fact that half of your testing was done to a lock laying on the ground. The fact that you were flying all the sparks onto the rotors and the fork.
I doubt he actually knows how to use half the stuff on the bike. I have a Trek Slash 9 and I would never EVER use it to ride to school. The kid probably doesn’t know how to mountain bike at all. And the sparks flying into that beautiful fox fork just makes me mad.
What the heck is Lincoln riding his brand new $4,000 mountain bike to school for!!😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯🤢🤢🤢 Why not buy like a Giant road bike hybrid for about $350!?!?! You’re just ruining your tread on $120 Maxxis tires and asking for it to be stolen. But at least he can use his dropper post.🙄
It's Utah, tight knit safe mormon communities. Not perfect but pretty darn safe. I don't use a bike lock on my nice trek bike. My last apartment I never even got the key from the landlord because because we just left the door open.I leave my truck windows down 24/7.
I'm pretty sure that bike has quick release. So you locking the front tire isn't going to do anything. Theifs could just release the front tire and they got most of your bike. You have to lock your back wheel to the frame and the frame to the rack with the front wheel also locked. Just a heads up. Great video by the way! Nice bike Lincoln!
Why are you riding a full suspension mountain bike to school. That is the biggest waste of a beautiful bike I have ever seen. I doubt you even will k ow how to ride a legitimate trail.
I know!!!! there is literally dust covering like 100mm of his suspension lol. There are so many kids that actually ride that would die for that bike. what a waste.
Those sparks from the angle grinder would have wrecked his disc rotor and he refers to the front fork as "the shock", do these people know anything about mountain biking, they probably don't even know how to use the quick release thru axles and I am sure that they don't even know how to turn the clutch on on that slx 11 speed shadow + derailleur. He isnt even using it for trail use, he is using it for fcking commuting, that bike is probably crying right now, he isn't even riding basic green level XC trails on it
Love how you don’t know how to treat a bike. You NEVER do anything next to the Stanton’s of your fork. Especially fox forks. They Stanton’s are a fortune to replace. And why would you buy him this nice of a bike to ride to school!?!? He is going to ruin the Maxxis tires on it doing nothing. And why would he ever need a dropper??!?!
It makes me angry not only is he using a full suspension mtb for commuting he also got a 4k mtb for christmas and purposely states that at the start of the video😤
@@Harry___18 Also unless he locks out both shocks he's gonna be so worn out by the time he gets to school bobbing up and down and he probably doesn't even know how to do that
I don't call 15 seconds a delay... locks are at most a minor inconvenience to a thief. Locks aren't there to stop thieves, they're there to stop honest people from trying.
depends where the school is, when I was young I had to walk a kilometer uphill to get to the school, and then another kilometer uphill from the school to get back home ;)
First he's riding a $3500 to school, then he's using a angel grinder next to the brake rotors with screws them up completely, this kid doesn't even know how to gutter up and has a full suspension bike, I ride every weekend, twice a weekend and have a $750 hardtail that works fine, he could have got a $100 bike from Kmart and he could ride to school
The rotors will be fine as well as break calippers. The heat form the sparks is minimal compared to what they are designed to withstand on a trial. Unfortunately if some metal got caught on the sanctions and will be pushed down the seals it might make skraches on the anode over time. Hopefully they cleaned the stanctuons but looking at them in the wideo they are already dirty (so probably not). And no the heat form the sparks is not enough to even heat up the gas in the fork. But the heat from grinded metal is. Long story short The rotors are fine, the fork will be fine if they wipe away the metal dust.
When the 8 year old manages to break the lock, you can see that she is very proud. Then you say that it is extra ordinary because she is a girl and that smile goes right away. Poor girl
He only uses that bike to drive to school?!?! It's a super good downhill MTB that's made to go off-road and kill the track's! And he's probably too scared for that.
@@danielnelson9411 im sorry that people who genuinely love moutain biking who could be struggling to pay for rent or whatever you do, are jealous of a kid who has 3k bike and wouldn't even now what a dropper is

Cutting next to a fox fork, and all the Sparks are hitting the brake rotor. That's a great way to make your brakes useless and probably completely dry out and mangle your pads
Also His dad: oh sorry I will buy you a new bike and we will switch the air suspension to coiled suspension because I saw coiled suspension is better (I know air suspension is better don’t hate me)
I mean is Lincoln really doing the type of riding that require 4 piston brakes 🤔, definitely much better riding a hardtail whilst your younger or learning
I’m 13 and my Xc hard tail was holding me back quite a bit. I ended up buying a 2000 Canadian norco fluid full squish because of this but again, this was the cheapest option for a fs bike that still could do good trails.
Koyz u speak from a biased opinion he has versatility with a full suspension bike, he gets the best of one side and the taste of the other and I’m aware it doesn’t fully lock be he won’t have the pedal power to tell the difference so why would it matter.
Koyz how long have you been riding mountain bikes cause I rode a hard tail for 3 years on trail and then switched to FS and locked it out to try it on trail and the difference was minimal and I have a lot of pedal power
Hey what bike is that? Is he running tubeless? If you get an expensive mountain bike, most people just keep it in their garage or house, not as a daily ride. Its just worth too much and the gearing isnt great for commutes.
CrashBorneCody it’s a trail bike he’s never going to use it to it’s full extent, you really think he knows what he was doing, he put the brake on the front wheel.
@@codytran1719 its a $3000 bike to ride to school, think of that for a little bit, and i know damn well Lincoln didnt have to work for it. There are a lot of mountain bikers that would sell there cars for that, and the fact that it almost costs the same price for a used car doesn't help.

There's virtually no lock that can't be picked or cut. The odd time when I have locked a bike for a longer period of time, I have used more than one lock. I hope no bikes were harmed in the making of this video 😄.

Nice bike Lincoln!

totally distroyed jk
Yeah, metal shavings going on the rotor can't be good for the brake pads
Can we get a r.i.p. in the chat for that disc rotor
Franek Pędziwiatr explain one way in which the bike is damaged
Poor girl
Extra ordinary or extraordinary? 🤨
