I haven't skated in over 10 years because I'm getting up there in age and life is hectic but I will always treasure being a part of this community.
I love hearing stories like these. I myself am a musician but have loved skating my entire life as well. It is inspiring to see guys like this having found their balance. Im still finding my way...

It's wild seeing places that I drive past everyday on Thrasher. S/o to Richmond.
I clicked on this kinda indifferent, not because i dont like Gilbert, quite the opposite - I like his skating so purely that i didn't want to potentially taint it with any knowledge of who he was - i wanted the skating to stand alone. Man i'm glad I did, Gilbert seems right down my alley. (I never pursued sponsors but have always skated (and tried to progress) and yeah music) What a rad dude. Bulk respect to this guy, wish there was more like him in the professional landscape, representing the truest virtues of skateboarding
